Managing Editor, Think Global Health
The Council’s David Rockefeller Studies Program is one of the country’s largest foreign policy think tanks with a widely respected and influential research staff. The Studies Program works to advance the public debate on U.S. foreign policy and international affairs through its publications, meetings, and public outreach.
Think Global Health is a CFR-sponsored online magazine that examines the ways that health shapes economies, societies, and everyday lives around the world. In its first three years of operation, the site published more than 700 articles from some 750 authors, representing over fifty-five countries on six continents, and attracted 4 million page views. Think Global Health has been nominated for two Webby awards. Major news outlets, such as the New York Times, the Washington Post, The Atlantic, BBC, and Vox, have shared and linked to Think Global Health articles and interviews.
Under the direction of the Director of the Global Health Program, the Managing Editor will be responsible for managing the magazine’s operations and staff, including writing, soliciting, and editing content, coordinating the work of contributors, and promoting the site and its content.

Building Maintenance Assistant
The Building Maintenance Assistant, Facility and Event Operations will work in CFR’s Facility Operations department, and report directly to Deputy Director, Building Operations.
Deputy Director, Education Marketing
The Council on Foreign Relations is creating innovative educational resources, which seek to equip students and the interested public with the skills, knowledge, and perspective—the global literacy—required to understand the forces, ideas, and institutions that shape our world. These resources include World101, a growing library of multimedia primers explaining the fundamentals of international relations and U.S. foreign policy; Model Diplomacy, a multimedia simulation program that invites participants to role-play in the context of National Security Council and UN Security Council meetings; and Convene the Council, an educational video game developed in collaboration with iCivics for ages 12 and up. These products come with an array of teaching resources and activities aimed at high school and college instructors and their students.
The Deputy Director, Education Marketing will support the Vice President for Education to develop and execute the marketing strategy for CFR Education. This position is based in the New York office on a hybrid basis. CFR defines “hybrid” as two to three days a week onsite, of which one of those days would be Tuesday.
Senior Building Engineer, Facility and Event Operations
The Senior Building Engineer, Facility and Event Operations will work in CFR’s Facility Operations department, and report directly to Deputy Director, Building Operations. This is a full-time position, and the hours of this position are Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Monday through Thursday 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. However, this position is considered essential personnel, and will be expected to work flexible hours upon request.
Help Desk Technician
The Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing technical support and guidance to CFR staff in computer systems, software applications, mobile devices, and telephone systems. He or she is also responsible for providing technical support for institutional meetings and functions, physically relocating and connecting workstations and networking equipment, and configuring and repairing computer and networking equipment.

Research Associate, Global Health, Economics, and Development
As part of the Studies Program, the research associate will support the work of the director of the CFR Global Health Program and Think Global Health (TGH), CFR’s online magazine devoted to examining how changes in health shape economies, societies, and everyday lives.
Event Coordinator
The Council on Foreign Relations’ DC office is located just one block from the White House. It is home to a state-of-the-art conference center and is used for several hundred meetings a year. The space is also rented for numerous rental events each year.
The Event Coordinator will provide support to the Event Operations team based out of the Washington, DC office. This is an on-site role.
Research Associate, Geoeconomics
CFR’s David Rockefeller Studies Program is one of the country’s largest foreign policy think tanks with a widely respected and influential research staff. The Studies Program aims to advance the discussion of American foreign policy and international affairs through its writing, publications, public outreach, and discussions. The research associate will work in the Maurice R. Greenberg Center for Geoeconomic Studies (CGS), the part of the Studies department that focuses on the intersection of international economics and international relations. The research associate will support the work of the Whitney Shepardson Senior Fellow.
