Downgrading a sponsorship

When you downgrade a sponsorship, the change will become effective on your next billing date. There are no refunds for payments for GitHub Sponsors.

1. In the upper-right corner of any page, click your profile photo, then click Settings.
   
2. In your user settings sidebar, click Billing.
   
3. Click Subscriptions.
   
4. Under "GitHub Sponsors", to the right of the sponsored open source contributor, click next to your sponsored amount, then click Change tier.
   
5. On the right side of the page, next to your selected tier, click Edit.
   
6. On the right side of the page, under "Select a tier", review the sponsorship tiers available. Then, to the right of the tier you want, click Select.
   
7. Click Update sponsorship.
   

Canceling a sponsorship

When you cancel a sponsorship, the change will become effective on your next billing date. There are no refunds for payments for GitHub Sponsors.

1. In the upper-right corner of any page, click your profile photo, then click Settings.
   
2. In your user settings sidebar, click Billing.
   
3. Click Subscriptions.
   
4. Under "GitHub Sponsors", to the right of the sponsored open source contributor, click next to your sponsored amount, then click Cancel sponsorship.
   
5. Review the information about canceling your sponsorship, then click OK.
