Hi, and thanks for your feedback.

Indeed, I’m the guy who developed this plugin almost 10 years ago, and I’m also proud to be the one who built Elementor 🙂

With new accessibility laws like the European Accessibility Act, we decided to upgrade and rebrand the plugin to better support today’s needs. The plugin is fully GDPR-compliant. It only loads the minimal scripts required for its accessibility features, and no personal data is collected or stored without explicit consent.

Prefer the old version? Just go to Plugins > Revert to Legacy under the plugin name, and it will work exactly as before.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. We’re committed to keeping this plugin simple, lightweight, and accessible.

    Cheers!

Does this also prevent access to the external CDN if the plugin is used within the EU? This violates the GDPR and therefore cannot be used without active consent. This excludes more than 400 million EU citizens from using the plugin, and nobody here seems to care. I can’t find any precise information about this, and here in the forum, we always get the same half-baked and incorrect answer, at least when it comes to the EU.

    Cheers!
