rn theyre stored as json files and is world readable. i think it would be nice for the CLI to put them in the keyring

yeah definitely on the todo list!
main blocker is that I want to figure it out at the same time I lay the groundwork for proper tunables in a config file and with environment variables (appview option, app password, possibly some dev verbosity settings which would make this thing way easier to bug-check, handling for pre-existing remotes, etc).
(and I need to do more research into how to do that for macos)
rn a lot of this is handwritten by me with minimal AI (mainly for refactors) so there are a lot of unexpected bugs and not a great test surface either, if I have time this should change within the week
