The Audible Standard does usually include a 30-day free trial, but Amazon is currently offer four months of the service for 99 cents right now as a better alternative to that. The Standard plan comes with one free Audible audiobook per month, which essentially gets you three credits to use on Audiobooks of your choice throughout the discounted trial period (though they aren't technically credits).
What's Included in Audible Standard
The Audible Standard plan is $8.99 per month and gives subscriber one credit per pay cycle to use on the Audiobook of their choice. Audible has the largest catalog of Audiobooks available, including some of the best book-to-audio adaptations available. You will also get unlimited access to a curated selection of Audible Originals and podcasts.
What's Not Included?
Audible Standard is $6 cheaper than the monthly Premium Plus subscription, which means it comes with less services. Most notably, Standard does not include access to the Plus Catalog. It's also worth noting that Premium Plus subscribers get to keep any of the audiobooks they use their credits on while Standard plan users will lose them as soon as they cancel.
