How do we feel about the Doyle audiobooks?

I've always been a reader but recently started getting into audiobooks. I just listened to the sample of the Doyle version available on Audible and found myself not liking it for reasons I cant quite put my finger on.

I'm wondering how people tend to feel about his reads. Is my dislike just because it's different from how I've read it in my head over the years, does it tend to grow on people? I've heard his Saphira voice isn't great but she wasn't included in the sample. Also, are there other audiobooks people tend to prefer?

For an example of my Audiobook tastes, I prefer the Stephen Fry Harry Potter audiobooks to the Jim Dale ones, though I still find Dale good.
