As a relative newcomer to Silent Hill (having only played f before this), I found Townfall to be bloody brilliant - the puzzles were perfect, and tension was nail-biting. As a brit, the attention to detail is incredible, too; the only real let down were the monster designs and gormless protagonist, but your mileage may vary.
