Hi, I’m sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I’m very inexperienced with these things, so please feel free to send me elsewhere 😁

Sub-menus were working on all mobile devices last time I checked, but they’re now not working on some Samsungs. I’ve tried changing the URL to #, as suggested in the only fix I understand from web searches, but that doesn’t seem to have made any difference. I’ve tried two different browsers.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it’s for a charity I volunteer for.
    Thank you 🙏🏻

Update: I’ve asked three other people, who can all access this site with both iOS and Android.
My three Android devices (using Android 14 and 15) just won’t access the sub-menus, and I’ve tried Chrome, Firefox, and Samsung browser. Am waiting for (hopefully) help from the Android community forum. Thank you.

I’ve had an Android product expert looking into this and he can’t find the issue on my three Android testing devices, after trying around two dozen fixes.

The only thing I can think is that I’ve noticed the word MENU is off-centre. It wasn’t like that last time I checked, and I haven’t done anything to the website when maintaining it to make the MENU title shift over slightly to the right.

Hi again, I hope someone can help with this as I’ve found out that this issue is affecting other visitors to our charity’s website.

After further troubleshooting with the Android product expert, his final verdict is “It is 100% a bug in the website’s CSS code that specifically breaks on Samsung aspect ratios. You would actually be doing them a favour by letting them know that the mobile menu is broken on Samsung Android 14/15 devices—the sub-menu arrows/chevrons are missing!”

Please help if you can. Many thanks.

    Hi @teracharity,

The theme you’re running is Radcliffe 2, which is the WordPress.com version of the Radcliffe theme. Although based on the same design as Radcliffe, Radcliffe 2 is built from scratch by the WordPress.com themes team, so the code is completely different from the original Radcliffe theme, which this support forum is for.

I’d recommend you to reach out to either WordPress.com support directly or post in the WordPress.com support forums.

    Hi again,

I posted on the https://wordpress.com/forums/ as per your suggestion. A member on that site has said I’m in the wrong place, and referred me back here. I’m really confused as to where I should be to obtain the correct information about getting this issue fixed.

Maybe I’m missing something obvious but I can’t understand why you’re saying I should be on the other site and someone there is saying I should be here. Apologies for asking you again, I’m just unable to understand this.

    Thank you so much.

    Hi @teracharity,

That’s a misunderstanding on the part of the user who replied to you on the WordPress.com forums. Like I wrote in the earlier reply, this support forum is for Radcliffe, which is completely different from Radcliffe 2, which is the theme you have installed and was built by WordPress.com. It’s an understandable mistake on part of the WordPress.com forum user though.
