Tomb Raider King Episodes 1 & 2 Review: An Entertaining Start That Needs More Than Its Premise
7
Good
Tomb Raider King has a fun relic-hunting idea and excellent art and animation, but its familiar time-rewind formula keeps the story from feeling especially fresh.
Summary
Tomb Raider King opens with a familiar time-rewind progression story, but its relic-based dungeon design and excellent production give the adaptation enough personality to make these first two episodes enjoyable. The writing spends a lot of time establishing its rules, so the series has more groundwork than payoff at this stage, but there is enough here to justify seeing where Joo-Heon’s second life takes him.
