Crimson Desert

I am loving this game! I was skeptical at first because of the reviews, but I went with my gut and bought it anyway. As someone who usually prefers story-based games and whose only experience comes from Fallout and Elden Ring, this take on strategy games is amazing; the variety of things to do is mind-blowing. It’s interesting to have a game that feels open without being driven by a complex story. While some things need work—like taming legendary horses—and I’ve encountered a few bugs, nothing stops you from enjoying the experience. I don’t understand why critics are so focused on things like story and mechanics; the point of a game is supposed to be that it's fun!

Game is wonderfully immersive. Basically the game I've been waiting my whole life for. FYI, IGN might take your review down if it's positive. This is the third time I've posted a 10/10 review and it keeps disappearing. And I'm a PAID IGN SUB. There's my first mistake. IGN clearly hates this game.

I am continually blown away that we put faith in the reviews on IGN... rather than a group of players rather than critics. Metacritic players average rated it 8.5 (4,040 reviews) and even the Critics rated it at a 7.9 (91 critics). Some of my favorite and IMO, the most respected critics rated it at or above 9. I say all of that to recommend getting a larger sample, considering I almost NEVER agree with the reviews on IGN. Personally, i have played for roughly 60 hours and I have really enjoyed it. In some ways it reminds me of the Witcher 3 (in a good way). There are a few things I would really like to change.. one being the button mapping or the lack thereof, but that is the only complaint i have.

Elder Scrolls 6 is dead. Nobody will care about it now that Crimson Desert is here. Bethesda could not make a game like this even if they tried. Best Game Ever!!!

The game feels too boring, controls are weird too. People are just shy to give their opinions

Honestly, when it comes to these games, I look for a mixture of story and gameplay, but sometimes rules can be broken and have a positive outcome. Although Crimson Desert is fresh of the oven its still needs a tiny bit of polishing when it comes to the base ps5 console, But overall I feel like this is great, not just because of the vast open world, but also for the multiple interactions and side quests. Now when it comes to the controls and combat, it can get confusing at first, but honestley is not too bad. There are a few things that could be done better, but honestley Iam happy with the result. To conclude this review, I feel like players should give this game a change for its release it honestley great and I feel like further updates will come with this game which will make it better, But if you are searching for a game to explore and have a time to yourself then this is a great game.

if you like open world games this is for you it is fantastic.

For the life of me I’ll never understand why gamers glaze this. It’s awful. On top of that, anyone defending the console performance has lost their damn minds. The amount of heavy l, heavy pixelation makes the game look like it was developed for the 64. It’s just busy work simulator with shoehorned exploration. Stay away from this. But knowing most gamers today, you won’t.

If you ran more than 50 mods on your Skyrim build, this is the mothership calling you home 6/10 rating is criminal

Amazing game! Massive and im 150 hours in and still only touched the first 5 chapters of the main quest and still have huge amount of side quests and exploration to go. I can spend hours just wandering around exploring and talking to the villagers.

story and characters are really bad, controls for combat ****

This game's a winner. If you like open world, exploration, and games that require thought and a learning curve, this game is great. It does not constantly blast you with quick dopamine hits but as you learn the systems and make discoveries, the payoffs are great. One of the best looking game worlds I've ever seen, and the soundtrack is great, too.
