Lymbic Chest - Temple of the Fallen is a Mystery you can find in Hell Is Us. A Mystery is a side quest tied to an Exploration Item that you have the opportunity to see while investigating the side paths of the world. When you pick up these items, they detail what Mystery they’re connected to, but you have to figure out where to go and how to earn the rewards for completing them. On this page, we’ll be discussing how you can find the Lymbic Chest - Temple of the Fallen Mystery and what you have to do to complete it in Hell Is Us.
How to Complete Lymbic Chest - Temple of the Fallen
You can find this shortly after you begin your descent into the Temple of the Fallen, while visiting the Plains of Mist during Act 2 for the Keystone of Ecstasy. The rod you discover for this chest is a short distance from the entrance, on one of the side paths, and there are two you need to track down.
When you enter the proper Temple of the Fallen, there’s a side path you have to explore on the left side.
It’s a straight shot as you follow this path forward into a large chasm, and you’ll stand on a bridge overlooking a chasm.
Continue through to the next area, and when you reach the save point, take the path to the right.
This brings you to an open space with wooden platforms, covered in mushrooms. You want to follow down to the bottom of this area, carefully choosing your path so you don’t take too much fall damage.
From here, there’s only one way forward, and you’ll reach the chasm you were standing over on the bridge. On the other side of where you start is a glowing interactable, which is the first rod that you need to find.
After you collect it, continue on your only path forward, and you’ll return to the entrance of this path.
For the next rod, return to the save point you took a right at, after the bridge. Instead of taking a right, you want to proceed through the left pathway.
Immediately after you take that left, take the first left on that path.
Continue forward on this path, eliminating the Hollow along the way. You’ll loop up to a top area, and when you reach the end, you’ll find another glowing intractable on the ground at a dead end. This will be the last rod you need for this Lymbic Chest.
From this location, fall from the cliffs, and then take a left into a large temple entrance.
Head up the stairs, and you’ll enter a massive room with multiple statues.
You want to follow the path that takes you between north and northeast through that area.
You’ll eventually reach an entrance with a blocked door, unless you’ve already unlocked it. However, if you haven’t, the correct switches are Teaar, Dead, and Abandonment for the first Plains of Mist pressure plate puzzle.
After you step on those, the doors open, and you can proceed forward.
From the temple entrance, it’s a straight path forward to where you want to go next. When you reach the wooden platforms with the pair of ladders, head to the top and then drop down to the next series of platforms to your left.
When you reach the bottom, continue forward, and this path will lead you to the end of the temple, where you can find the Lymbic Chest. However, you might have to solve a puzzle before this point if you haven't already gone through this path. If you do, similar to the earlier puzzle, you need to stand on specific icons. You need to stand on one from each row. Starting from the entrance, it's the Open Hands symbol, then the Dagger symbol, then the Person symbol, and the last one is the Twin Snakes symbol for the second pressure plate puzzle.
After this puzzle, when you get to the end of the next hallway, you'll find the Lymbic Chest. The first rod that needs to go in is the Lymbic Rod - Ecstasy, V.
The second rod you need to use is Lymbic Rod - Ecstasy, W.
This opens the Lymbic Chest, and you’ll receive a Tuning Stone as a reward. This completes the Lymbic Chest - Temple of the Fallen in Hell Is Us.
