One of the best perks of being a LEGO Insider is ability to earn a free gift with purchase when you spend the requisite amount of money. This is a great way to get more bang for your buck and potentially pick up any builds you may have missed out on previously. You can buy any set directly from LEGO to qualify, with the only caveat being you must meet the monetary threshold. So for example, some gifts require a minimum of $40 be spent to earn it. This can be even be done by purchasing multiple sets to meet the requirements or just one. The gifts will often be smaller sets that were previously available to purchase on their own, and will sometimes follow a theme depending on the time of year.
Sometimes gifts with purchase will have to be earned by purchasing a specific build from a certain theme, like spending $50 or more on Botanicals or Art sets, and the available free gifts change week to week. If you don't plan to become a LEGO Insider, there are some gifts with purchase that are available to everyone, but those aren't as frequent. But if you are a member, you'll receive both Insider Points to put towards future purchases and free bonus build.
