The Elemental Trail Treasure is another Treasure Map series in Red Dead Redemption 2. This treasure hunt involves three maps, or clues. The "maps" are not really maps. Instead, they are sketches that offer clues to a location.
The Elemental Trail Treasure Map 1
To begin the hunt for The Elemental Trail Treasure, you must find the first map by exploring the wilderness. The map is located at the western tip of New Austin, near the Sea of Coronado. New Austin is only accessible after Chapter 6.
There is a body hanging by a rope from one of the canyon walls. When you get near, an "x" will appear on the map and mini-map showing the location of the body.
Shoot the rope to release the body, and loot the stranger's corpse to acquire the map.
The map has a sketch of a fireplace and chimney near a large body of water. This clue points to Greenhollow, a crumbled homestead near the shore of the San Luis River in southwestern Hennigan's Stead.
Search the fireplace to find the second treasure map.
The Elemental Trail Treasure Map 2
The map shows a sketch of what appears to be a tower and a sloping elevated walkway or bridge.
At Benedict Point in the Rio Bravo region of New Austin, you will find a series of water towers connected by an elevated trough.
To access the trough, ride around to the top of the hill and jump onto the trough at the top. Then walk about halfway down the trough to find the third map.
The Elemental Trail Treasure Map 3
The map contains a sketch of a steeple with an arrow pointing to the left, and a cross with an arrow pointing down.
Southeast of the town of Armadillo is Coot's Chapel.
To the left of the chapel is the cemetery. In the cemetery, underneath a tree, is a wooden cross marking a grave. Approach the grave and examine the large rock on it. Underneath the rock you will find one gold bar, the Crow's Beak trinket, and some horse medicine.
This completes the hunt for The Elemental Trail Treasure.
