Control Resonant mysterious dog locations

Below you'll find all of the mysterious dog locations for the 'Every Dog Has Her Day' side story in Control Resonant. I've also included quick links to every toy location too.

West Incursion Zone dog location

The West Incursion Zone dog is located just north of the car park you'll visit during 'The Incursion Fault' mission.

The quickest way to find it is to start at the House of Mirrors, head left and Shift up the wall. Once there, run past the car park and you should see the dog sitting atop a Shifted roof directly in front of you. When the time comes, jump across and shift onto it so you can talk to the dog.

Central dog location

The quickest way to find the dog in Central is to begin searching at the 'Central Frontline' fast travel spot since the dog is south-east of that location.

You can either take the south-east route through the basketball court area or head across the roofs to the right of the fast travel spot before heading down across the roads. No matter what you need, you want to end up on the road going directly north of the East Park Station.

Once there, climb up the scaffolding running along the road and use it to reach the roof. You'll find the dog on the section of the roof closest to the East Park Station and the nearby petrol station.

Evacuation Zone dog location

The Evacuation Zone dog is located on the road north of the 'Main Street' fast travel spot. I recommend looking for the Chowrap billboard since this is very close to the dog, making your furry friend easier to find. (The billboard has been patterned so it's even easier to spot.)

Once you spot the billboard, climb up onto the roof. To actually reach the dog, you'll need to Shift onto the roof above. Thankfully, this is very easy to accomplish since the roofs are quite close together. First, however, I recommend you grab the toy.

Downtown dog location

The quickest way to find the dog in Downtown is to start outside the Oldest House. (And I mean literally, not at the fast travel point.) You'll then want to head down the main road away from Central, using Shift if needed, until you physically can't go any further due to the road ending in the void.

Once there, climb up the buildings to your right until you reach one with a small garden area. It's here where you'll find the dog.

The Park dog location

The dog location in The Park can be found just north of the Mold Factory fast travel spot. If you've unlocked this fast travel option, then you simply need to head north across the roofs until you've reached the door.

If you haven't, because it is a little bit hidden, then go through the car park. From there, you'll want to head left and then take the first road on your right. About half way up this road, you'll see a section of yellow mold on your right.

How you proceed now depends on where exactly you are in the game. If you've unlocked the Reach ability, you'll be able to zoom up to the roof where you'll now be able to make your way to the dog. (Just head east until you're on the roofs bordering the next road.)

If you haven't unlocked this ability yet, then you'll need to carefully traverse the yellow mold. Don't worry, there will be spots for you to land. Once you're on the other side, climb up the building until you're on the roof and then head over to the dog.

Underpass dog location

You'll most likely naturally encounter the dog in the Underpass while progressing through the 'Recursions and Iterations' mission as it's close to the first Research Site you'll visit. (Or it will at least appear on your map even if you don't visit it.)

If you're returning to the dog after completing this mission, then the quickest way to reach it is to first travel to the 'Research Stations' fast travel spot. From there, you'll want to jump over to the block which is opposite the research site directly in front of you when you exit the fast travel spot and slightly to the right of the patterning platform.

From there, follow the path around until you reach a series of blocks you can climb up. This will give you the height you need to travel over to the location of the dog, which is directly in front of you. If you're having trouble finding where to go, look for the square hole in the ceiling since the dog is beneath it.

Unknown dog location

To find the dog in the Unknown, you need to visit the island to the left of the one containing the Field Office. The fast travel spot for this location is called 'Tower Island'.

If you haven't visited this location yet, then you can reach it by using the patterning platforms near a large cluster of Mold on the main island in the Unknown. The Mold should be easy to spot because it's high on a roof and connected to both gravitational plains. There may also be a Mold-related World Feat in this location.

For the sake of simplicity, I'm going to start my direction to the dog from the 'Tower Island' fast travel point. Here you need to go past the water tower and drop down onto the roof below. Next, drop down onto the following roof before jumping across to the next building.

It's here where you'll find the dog sitting near a small garden area. There's some nearby string lights which you'll be able to spot at a distance just to the right of the dog.

The Gap dog location

After you've found the dog in all of the locations listed above, it's time to visit The Gap. Once here, you'll discover that the dog has somehow made its way inside. (Very strange. I thought the Gap was partially inside Dylan's head…) It will be sitting in-between where you perform upgrades and check on your Combat Abilities.

Control Resonant toy locations

Below you'll find all of the toy locations for the mysterious dog in Control Resonant. To make finding these toys easier, I've started my directions at the location of the mysterious dog itself. Take a look at the section above if you need a reminder of where the mysterious dog can be found!

West Incursion Zone toy location

To find the toy in the West Incursion Zone, pan around until you see the Chowrap billboard. Once you've found it, jump across to the roof it's placed above.

From there, you now need to Shift onto the roof directly to your left. It's here where you'll find the dragon toy sitting atop an air vent. Pick it up and take it back to the dog by retracing your steps. Just make sure you don't go too far from the dog or else the toy will vanish and you'll have to pick it up all over again.

Central toy location

To find the dragon toy in Central, you once again need to find the Chowrap billboard. Thankfully, it's very close to the dog - being on the wall opposite to its location in Central. If you don't spot it right away, then just look down. You'll see it poking out between the lasers.

Before grabbing the toy, however, I recommend taking care of all of the Hiss - both on the roof and at ground level - to make returning it to the dog far easier. Once that's all sorted, you'll find the toy directly beneath the billboard. Now all you need to do is jump back to the rooftops and take it to the dog.

Evacuation Zone toy location

You'll actually find the dragon toy in the Evacuation Zone before you find the dog! When you travel up to the roof beneath the Chowrap billboard (i.e. where the dog is), you'll find the toy sitting in front of the access door for the building. This is actually directly beneath the dog itself!

Pick it up, find the right place to Shift onto the roof above you - you may have to walk a little way, but it's really not that far - and then head over to the dog. Pop it in the basket and your work here is done.

Downtown toy location

The easiest way to find the dragon toy in Central is to drop down from where the dog is to the road below. (You know, the one ending in the void.) From there, you'll see the Chowrap billboard to your left.

All you have to do is climb atop the roof of the building showcasing this billboard and you'll find the toy atop some cardboard. Pick it up and return it to the dog!

The Park toy location

The dragon toy is, once again, not far from the dog but this time there's a bit of work you need to do. Firstly, I highly recommend unlocking the Reach ability before attempting to grab this toy as it will make the following far easier to do. With that out of the way, let's get on with things.

Step one is to stand in front of the dog and look to your upper right. There you'll see the Chowrap billboard and a lift. Annoyingly, you can't reach this lift by jumping and it's currently without power. Keep this location in mind though, because you'll be revisiting it soon.

Next, I recommend heading over to the roofs directly opposite the dog but before the Mold Factory fast travel spot. There you'll find some mold clusters blocking a door. Destroy these and you'll open a room containing two power cores. I recommend doing this because these power cores can act as a fail safe in case anything goes wrong during the next steps.

From the roof containing this room, you'll be able to see a Power Core Station. (You would have also run past this if you hadn't unlocked the Mold Factory fast travel spot.)

Now head over to this station, grab some electricity and pop it into one of the power cores in the room you've unlocked. The quickest way to do this is to use the Reach ability to return to the roof. If you don't have this ability, but fancy trying to grab the toy anyway then you'll have to navigate back across the yellow mold. Look out for any mold monsters while doing so!

Back to my recommended route though - with the electricity safely stored in this power core. It's now a good idea to drop down onto the road running between the dog and its toy. Once there, take care of the mold monsters awaiting you. Dealing with now will make grabbing the toy far easier.

After all the mold monsters are dead, return to the room with a powered up power core and take the electricity. Next, return to the road running between the dog and its toy. There you'll see a power core at the bottom of the lift. Slam the electricity into this power core and turn the lift on.

When the lift is finally finished going down, climb on top and press the button to go up. Once you're on the roof, you'll find the toy right next to you. Now all you have to do is pick it up and float back over to the dog.

Underpass toy location

Starting from the Underpass, you'll no longer have the Chowrap billboards to guide you to the toy's location. Thankfully, the Underpass toy is located directly above the dog so you don't have to go very far.

To reach it from the dog location, follow the left-hand path (the one with the red carpet) until you reach a spot where you can Shift onto a section of said carpet on the ceiling. You will need to do some small sections of platforming to reach this area, but, as long as Dylan is walking on the red carpet, you'll reach this location.

After Shifting, follow this new red carpet path - jumping between blocks when needed - until you're at the area with the desk above where the dog sits. Here you'll find the toy floating near the one desk which isn't lined up with the others.

Finally, to return the toy to the dog you need to jump through the hole in the middle of this area. This will drop you down into an area with a blocked-off office. Jump over to this office and gravity will change, allowing you to jump into a second square hole nearby. You'll now find yourself right next to the dog, so drop the toy into the basket.

Unknown toy location

The toy in the Unknown is, in my opinion, the hardest to find. Not only is there no Chowrap billboard to help you out, but the only place I found where it can be easily spotted without being directly in front of it is atop the building directly next to where the dog sits. (Seriously, it took me a good 40 minutes to find it.)

The exact location of the toy is on a balcony on the large skyscraper to your left when you're standing next to the dog. It's the one with the billboard and the toy can be found on the upper balcony above said board. Even if you are able to spot the toy, then reaching it is a different matter. Don't worry though, I'll walk you through how to find it.

Starting at the dog's location, you need to drop down to the road below and continue forward until you reach the park area where you can Shift. Don't Shift yet though! (You should also kill any enemies in this area.) Instead, look for the Shifted building almost directly above the non-Shifted trees. Once you've found it, use Reach to jump over to this roof.

There you need to travel across the roofs of the buildings in a way which is going upwards with the building above you. Eventually you'll reach a point where you can see a balcony area. Just make sure it's not the one with the billboard.

When you find this spot, jump over to the balcony and you should be automatically Shifted into its gravitational field. Take care of any foes awaiting you before heading to the far end of the balcony where you'll find the toy on a table.

Thankfully, getting it back to the dog simply involves jumping across to the building where it sits.

Control Resonant Every Dog Has Her Day reward

For completing the 'Every Dog Has Her Day' side story, you'll get the recipe for the Trusted Spanner artifact. This increases your Raw Damage output by 15% and requires four Undefined Readings, 400 Source and three Violent Echos to make. Dylan also now has a dog living in his head I guess. (I really do think the Gap is inside Dylan somehow.)
