Zorua's Hide and Sneak Contest in Pokémon Pokopia lets you either team up with other players worlds or on dream islands or participate solo if you’d prefer. Zorua's Hide and Sneak Contest event dates

Zorua's Hide and Sneak Contest starts on Sunday 19th July at 5am (local time) and ends on Monday 27th July at 4:59am (local time).

Time travel no longer works for Pokopia, meaning you will need to wait for the start date to arrive naturally before you can begin this contest.

How to start Zorua's Hide and Sneak Contest

To start Zorua's Hide and Sneak Contest in Pokopia you need to speak to Zorua outside any rebuilt Pokémon Center. First, however, you need to have completed Zorua's request in Bleak Beach to ensure you've unlocked the hide and sneak mini-game. Even if you've got Zorua already and have made their habitat, you’ll need to speak to them outside a Pokémon Center for this specific contest.

1. Find Zorua outside any rebuilt Pokémon Center. This means you need to have at least one complete if you want to participate in this contest.
2. Speak to them and select 'Is a hide-and-sneak contest going on right now?'
3. Select 'Yeah, I'll try!' to start the contest.

How to win Zorua's Hide and Sneak Contest

To win the Hide and Sneak Contest you need to reach the PC outside a Pokémon Center without being spotted. Here are a few tips we found useful for winning the contest and trying to beat your best time:

• You've got three minutes to reach the PC. Since this is a contest, there's a time limit. You'll earn a reward as long as you reach the Pokémon Center PC within this time limit. The good news is if you reach it quickly, you'll get all of the rewards in the previous reward tiers!
• Multiple Pokémon will be searching for you. Zorua won't be hunting you alone, which seems a little unfair to me, and will have at least two Pokémon hunting you down. Thankfully, it's quite easy to figure out which Pokémon are helping Zorua because they will have speech bubbles above their heads.
• Avoid being spotted. The key to winning Zorua's Hide and Sneak Contest is to avoid being spotted by either Zorua or the other Pokémon helping it find you. These Pokémon will mostly stay around the Pokémon Center's PC, giving you a good amount of free space to get up close. When you are within their range, I recommend moving slowly and making sure they're looking in the opposite direction to you.
• Have the rumble settings switched on. I recommend using the rumble setting for this contest as the console will rumble if a Pokémon does spot you. This is useful if you're camera isn't looking at all of the Pokémon hunting you down. If you're using Camouflage, the Pokémon who spotted you will walk towards you for a short period until they decide to walk around. Wait until the question mark above their head vanishes and they're looking in another direction before moving again.
• Use Camouflage as quickly as possible. Camouflage transforms you into something nearby you. This can be anything from a block to a piece of furniture. Using this move will make it easier to win Zorua's contest, because you're, well, disguised. You can also touch the PC while disguised, so it's a good idea to use Camouflage throughout the contest to increase your chances of winning.
• Pick a location where you've got a good amount of cover near the Pokémon Center. If you're having trouble winning Zorua's contest, then try playing it at a location where you've got a good amount of cover - be it furniture, buildings or blocks - around the Pokémon Center. This will make it easier to hide from the Pokémon hunting you down. I found it easier to win the contest in the Withered Wastelands compared to Rocky Ridges, for example, because I've kept the hills around the Pokémon Center.
• The contest round ends when the time limit is up. Don't worry if you are spotted, you'll still have a chance to win this round of the contest! As long as there's time on the clock that is. If you are spotted, you'll be transported to another spot in the region for a second chance on sneaking up on the PC. Use this chance to try another route for reaching the PC.
