Trying to find the best pickaxes in The Forge? The Roblox RPG offers a wide selection of pickaxes to choose from, but there are a few that you'll want to zero in on to add to your inventory.

Considering money can be hard to earn and is at a premium, you'll want to make sure the pickaxe you choose is the right one for you. Which gear you opt for though ultimately depends on what stage of the game you're at, and how much gold you have at your disposal.

To help ensure you don't get buyer's remorse, we've rounded up this guide on the best pickaxes you can get in The Forge, pinpointing the best budget pickaxes you can get for the early game on Stonewake's Cross and when you arrive on the Forgotten Kingdom, as well as the best pickaxes for the latter game.

Best budget pickaxe for Stonewake's Cross

The best budget pickaxe for Stonewake's Cross is the Stonewake's Pickaxe. This pickaxe costs $3,333 and you can purchase it in The Forge from inside The Cave. It offers a mining power of 33, which is enough to mine all the different rocks you'll come across in Stonewake's Cross. Not only that, but this is a better mining power than the more expensive Platinum Pickaxe, which you can purchase from Miner Fred's stall on Stonewake's Cross for $5,000.

To get the Stonewake's Pickaxe, head inside The Cave and then when you see Nord and Umut The Brave on the lower level of the entrance take a left. That path will lead you to the Inner Cave, which is an area full of zombies and rocks you can mine. Right in the centre of the region is the Stonewake's Cross stuck in a rock. You just need to walk along one of the wooden bridges to reach it.

Best budget pickaxe for the Forgotten Kingdom

The best budget pickaxe for the Forgotten Kingdom is the Cobalt Pickaxe. This pickaxe costs $10,000 and is powerful enough to mine Basalt Rock and Basalt Core, which are two rocks you'll come across often in the area's Ruined Cave, and that you'll need to mine for a number of the area's early quests. This pickaxe can be purchased from Miner Fred's stall on the Forgotten Kingdom, which is right near where you spawn.

From this store you can also purchase one of the best overall pickaxes for the Forgotten Kingdom, which is the Lightite Pickaxe. It's the most expensive pickaxe you can get at this store, costing $98,500, but it's powerful enough to mine all the rocks you'll find in the Ruined Cave. So besides Basalt Rock and Basalt Core, you'll also be able to mine Basalt Vein and Volcanic Rock, which you'll need to mine if you want to find the region's rarest Ores and complete some of the later quests.

Best overall pickaxes

The best overall pickaxes in The Forge are the Arcane Pickaxe and the Demonic Pickaxe. The Arcane Pickaxe is the best pickaxe you'll find on Stonewake's Cross. It has less damage power than the Magma Pickaxe you'll later come across on the Forgotten Kingdom, but it offers better luck, mining speed and has one more rune slot. The Demonic Pickaxe is the most powerful pickaxe in The Forge, but it has a slower mining speed than the Arcane Pickaxe.

To get either of these pickaxes, you'll need to complete a quest. The Arcane Pickaxe can be purchased after you complete the Bard's lost guitar quest. One of the rewards you'll get for completing this quest is the Unknown Key. This can be used to unlock a gate in The Cave on Stonewake's Cross, which leads to the Fallen Angel's Cave where the Arcane Pickaxe is located. It costs $125,000 and the pickaxe has a mining power of 115.

To get the Demonic Pickaxe, you'll need to complete Skal's quest in the Volcanic Depths region of the Ruined Cave. Completing this quest will give you the Demonic Key, which you can use to unlock a door that's in the eastern part of the Volcanic Depths, which leads to where you can buy the Demonic Pickaxe. It costs a whopping $500,000, but it boasts a best in class mining power of 180.
