All 358 Elden Ring bosses in order (100% boss locations map)
Use these maps to find all of the Elden Ring bosses (DLC included!)
Update: Added all Sites Of Grace to the full Elden Ring boss locations map.
FromSoftware's games are famous for their phenomenal, iconic boss fights, and Elden Ring is their magnum opus. You only need to defeat 11 bosses to complete the game, but the joy and glory of Elden Ring is in exploring every lowly nook and every hidden dungeon for the hundreds of optional bosses who await your challenge. And I do mean hundreds.
There is a gobsmacking 268 bosses in the base game of Elden Ring, ranging from NPC Invaders and Minibosses to Demigods and Legends. And the DLC, Shadow Of The Erdtree, adds an extra 90 bosses on top of that, bringing us to a total of 358 bosses in Elden Ring.
I've spent over a thousand hours in both The Lands Between and the Land Of Shadow, and in every one of my playthroughs, I've hunted down and defeated every single boss on this list. My aim is for this to be a complete and definitive guide to all Elden Ring bosses, with boss location maps of each region marking every single boss and miniboss to ensure you don't leave a single foe unslain in your quest to reach the centre of the Erdtree.
Below you'll find our recommended boss order for the main bosses, as well as a step-by-step guide to tackling all 300+ bosses in the game, region by region. You can consult our maps to find all boss locations, and use our tables and write-ups as one massive checklist, built to accompany you from your first steps in Limgrave all the way to Crumbling Farum Azula and the Ashen Capital. Arise now, ye tarnished.
In this guide:

Within the Rock Paper Shotgun treehouse, I'm the player with the most time in Elden Ring and its DLC, with over a thousand hours logged in the game. I've completed multiple playthroughs, and in each playthrough I've hunted down and beaten every single boss on the map, bar none. If you want to do the same, here's my recommended boss order for all 300+ bosses in Elden Ring and Shadow Of The Erdtree, broken down by region.

Elden Ring boss locations
1. Grafted Scion (Chapel Of Anticipation)
The very first boss you come across in Elden Ring is the Grafted Scion, which is meant to kill you after your first few steps in the Chapel of Anticipation. What you may not realise is that you can actually return to this location and challenge the Scion to a rematch by taking an Imbued Sword Key to the third-highest of the Four Belfries on the west coast of Liurnia Of The Lakes.
The Grafted Scion is one of the nastier early-game Elden Ring bosses, with its many hands allowing for long combos of far-reaching sword attacks. Either use a big shield to soak up these attacks before striking, or time your dodges through his attacks so you can strike from behind.
2. Soldier Of Godrick (Tutorial Boss)
Players starting a new game of Elden Ring will likely face the Soldier of Godrick in the Cave of Knowledge. This swordsman is barely tougher than the standard soldiers you'll encounter out and about in Limgrave, so it's hardly a boss at all. But I'm mentioning it here for completion's sake.
3. Burial Tree Watchdog (Stormfoot Catacombs)
Found at the end of the Stormfoot Catacombs, the Burial Tree Watchdog loves to float into the air and slam down on top of you. Its attack patterns are easy to grasp, however, and its health pool is quite low, so this boss should be a piece of cake compared to later encounters.
4. Beastman of Farum Azula (Groveside Cave)
The Beastman of Farum Azula can be found lurking past the wolves in Groveside Cave. He's an unpleasant-looking individual with a nasty-looking curved greatsword and a love of long combos. Fortunately, he has low poise and is easily parried, leading to an easy early boss fight.
5. Demi-Human Chiefs (Coastal Cave)
Coastal Cave is one of the easiest of Elden Ring's dungeons, located on the beach to the west from when you first set foot in Limgrave. At its end are the Demi-Human Chiefs - two relatively strong Demi-Humans who can nonetheless be very easily overwhelmed by distracting them with your Spirit Ashes, and dealing with them one at a time. It's harder if you don't use Spirit Ashes, but you can still carefully take them one at a time without too much trouble.
6. Stonedigger Troll (Limgrave Tunnels)
Stonedigger Troll may look mighty, but with the right setup (i.e. a magical setup) he's a pushover. He resides at the end of the Limgrave Tunnels dungeon, and while his attacks are painful if they land, one can easily stay out of his range and pummel him with spells.
Check out our Elden Ring Stonedigger Troll boss fight walkthrough for more details.
7. Bloody Finger Nerijus (Agheel River)
Bloody Finger Nerijus may give you a bit of trouble at first if you are caught unaware. He appears as you head up the river from Agheel Lake, past the bridge, and will attack you with a combination of melee and ranged bleed attacks using his legendary dagger, Reduvia. Fortunately, a mysterious stranger comes to aid you if you last long enough.
8. Patches (Murkwater Cave)
An inside joke for many a FromSoft veteran, Patches is a simple mercenary boss who will surrender after you deal enough damage to him. You can find him at the end of the very short dungeon, Murkwater Cave - but it's important that you do find him, because if you spare his life, he'll open up a shop where you can purchase an item that will help you in a certain important future fight...
Check out our Elden Ring Bloody Finger Nerijus boss fight walkthrough for more details.
9. Night's Cavalry (Highway Bridge)
During the day, the Highway Bridge separating East from West Limgrave is guarded by an ordinary horseback soldier. At night, this soldier is replaced with the Night's Cavalry - a much more powerful rider with a wicked halberd with surprising reach. If you're struggling against this boss, utilise hit-and-run tactics with Torrent.
10. Grave Warden Duelist (Murkwater Catacombs)
You'll have to fight through a nasty little dungeon of imps hiding behind corners to get to the Grave Warden Duelist; but he's actually not that bad once you've enlisted the aid of your Spirit Ashes. Even after he powers himself up, he doesn't hit terribly hard, and his attacks are easily blocked and weathered with a shield.
11. Recusant Henricus (Colosseum Road)
Recusant Henricus invades as you walk towards the Limgrave Colosseum, located northeast of Stormhill Shack. He uses heavy melee attacks which deal lots of damage upon impact, but you’ll find they’re also rather slow. To make light work of Henricus, equip a fast melee weapon, such as a Dagger, and whittle down his health while rolling to avoid any damage.
12. Golem (East Of Colosseum)
If you follow the cliff to the east of the Limgrave Colosseum, you'll find a damaged Golem on the ground. Bring a blunt weapon and target the feet with heavy attacks to bring it crashing down to the ground, primed for a massively damaging critical hit to the chest.
13. Guardian Golem (Highroad Cave)
The Guardian Golem of Highroad Cave is much the same as the Golem you previously encountered east of the Colosseum, just with more health. Utilise exactly the same strategy as before: heavy blunt attacks to the feet until it is stunned, then a critical strike to the chest.
14. Black Knife Assassin (Deathtouched Catacombs)
The Black Knife Assassin is a slippery customer who you can find at the end of the Deathtouched Catacombs towards the north of Limgrave. He is fond of dodging back, and waiting for the right moment to strike - but his attacks themselves aren't terribly strong, so you can block him with ease and slowly cut his health bar down to size with some patience.
15. Mad Pumpkin Head (Waypoint Ruins)
The Mad Pumpkin Head resides in the cellar beneath Waypoint Ruins, and guards the room where Sorceress Sellen lives, ready to impart sorcerous knowledge to the player. The Mad Pumpkin Head loves to headbutt you, and slash at you with its bleed-inflicting flail. Take your time, don't get greedy with your attacks, and you'll be fine.
16. Tibia Mariner (Summonwater Village)
The Tibia Mariner is a curious boss that summons undead skeletal enemies to fight alongside it will it teleports about Summonwater Village. The Mariner itself will mostly just sit there and let you slash at it, only occasionally rearing up to slam into the ground. So ignore the minions and prioritise the Mariner to end this fight quickly.
17. Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater (Smoldering Church)
Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater is another invader like Bloody Finger Nerijus; you'll meet her as you approach the Smoldering Church on the border between Limgrave and the far more dangerous Caelid Wilds to the east. Take your time fighting this opponent: it's easy to stay out of her range, but one wrong move could mean the end thanks to her deceptively powerful attacks.
18. Bloodhound Knight Darriwil (Forlorn Hound Evergaol)
Bloodhound Knight Darriwil resides inside the Forlorn Hound Evergaol to the south of Limgrave. Enter the Evergaol to face him, and you'll find him to be a quick and aggressive warrior who may provide a significant challenge to a new player. Fortunately, you can call upon a certain friend to aid you if you know how.
19. Burial Tree Watchdog (Impaler's Catacombs)
The Burial Tree Watchdog from Stormfoot Catacombs makes another appearance in the far east of the Weeping Peninsula south of Limgrave, in the hidden away Impaler's Catacombs. This fight is identical to the other Watchdog fight, with the exception that in this arena there are also several little Imp creatures to harass you while you fight. I'd recommend picking them off first.
20. Night's Cavalry (Castle Morne Rampart)
As you approach Castle Morne at night, you'll encounter another Night's Cavalry like the one guarding the Highway Bridge up in Limgrave. This Night's Cavalry variant wields a Nightrider Flail which he drops on death for you to use. Otherwise, he's functionally identical to the other Night's Cavalry.
21. Cemetary Shade (Tombsward Catacombs)
The shadowy Cemetary Shade can be found at the end of the Tombsward Catacombs. Wielding dual-blades and capable of disapparating into shadowy mist at will, it can be hard to pin down the Cemetary Shade. But once you do, you'll find that it actually has very little health, so this fight shouldn't take too long.
22. Erdtree Avatar (Minor Erdtree)
Erdtree Avatars guard most Minor Erdtrees found across The Lands Between in Elden Ring. The Erdtree Avatar in the Weeping Peninsula is the least of all of them, but it still packs a hell of a punch. Utilise fire and Spirit Ashes as a distraction; and be careful also to run sideways to avoid its multiple golden spells attack.
23. Scaly Misbegotten (Morne Tunnel)
Scaly Misbegotten is a boss who quickly becomes a normal enemy as you progress further into the game; but they're always a tough adversary whenever you meet them. These tough enemies wield a massive greataxe and delay their strikes longer than you might think, daring you to dodge-roll too early and be punished for it.
24. Miranda The Blighted Bloom (Tombsward Cave)
Miranda The Blighted Bloom is a giant poisonous magical flower, and the first of many that you'll encounter later on in Elden Ring. She and her brethren spew poisonous clouds at you, and Miranda herself can call an easily avoidable magical rain down upon an area. Fire attacks make this miniboss easy - even just a torch will do a good job of interrupting her poison attacks.
25. Ancient Hero Of Zamor (Weeping Evergaol)
The Ancient Hero of Zamor lies within the Weeping Evergaol, which is the Weeping Peninsula's only Evergaol. This tall figure utilises a hooked blade and cold attacks, so naturally you should use fire damage if you have it. Dodge around its cold breath attack and hit it from behind for lots of damage.
26. Deathbird (Castle Morne Outskirts)
Head west after passing the wall where you fought the Night's Cavalry above, and as you approach the ramparts you'll be accosted by another Deathbird, functionally identical to the one by the Warmaster's Shack in Limgrave.
27. Runebear (Earthbore Cave)
At the bottom of a hole in the Earthbore Cave, you'll find a sleeping Runebear who quickly wakes up and tries to maul you to death as you approach. This Runebear is identical to the Runebears that routinely stomp about the Mistwood. Don't underestimate them though - they're powerful adversaries, faster and harder to read than many other bosses.
28. Golem (Outside Castle Morne)
This Golem guards the entrance to Castle Morne, on the southern tip of the Weeping Peninsula. It's not a full boss, but it doesn't respawn after you kill it. This Golem wields a Greatbow, so stick to cover and use Torrent to approach quickly.
29. Leonine Misbegotten (Castle Morne)
Leonine Misbegotten is the toughest enemy in the Weeping Peninsula, and the boss of Castle Morne. You'll find him on the beach below the castle. He is a powerful and aggressive boss who loves to wear down your stamina with repeated combo attacks, so you'd best bring something to upset his rhythm.
Check out our Elden Ring Leonine Misbegotten boss fight walkthrough for more details.
30. Flying Dragon Agheel (Agheel Lake)
Flying Dragon Agheel has the most wow-factor of any of the Limgrave-based Elden Ring bosses - but it's actually not terribly hard to deal with as long as you stay on horseback throughout the fight. Agheel will fly down into the centre of the lake as you approach, belching flames and smacking at you with its tail, but its powerful attacks are clearly telegraphed and easily avoided.
31. Golem (Stormhill)
Another non-respawning Golem can be found in Stormhill, near the cliff to the west of the Stormhill Evergaol. As before, target its ankles with the heaviest attacks you can muster.
32. Deathbird (Warmaster's Shack East)
If you explore the giant-infested area to the south-east of the Warmaster's Shack at night, you'll be accosted by a horrific giant bird with a long neck and a human skull for a face. This Deathbird has a fair bit of health and will lunge towards you unexpectedly, making it a good idea for you to stay on horseback for this fight.
33. Bell Bearing Hunter (Warmaster's Shack)
The Bell Bearing Hunter is a very powerful opponent who appears in place of Knight Bernahl in Warmaster's Shack when you approach at night. The Bell Bearing Hunter is a tough warrior who can telekinetically control his sword to unleash dangerous mid-range attacks. The easiest way to defeat him is to stay out of his range and pummel him with spells or arrows until he falls.
34. Tree Sentinel (Church Of Elleh Road)
The Tree Sentinel is like an even harder version of Night's Cavalry (above). He's also likely to be the first true boss you encounter in Elden Ring, as he's in plain view as you enter Limgrave for the first time. He's a tough foe in the early-game; I'd advise using Torrent and distracting the Sentinel with a good choice of Spirit Ashes.
Check out our Elden Ring Tree Sentinel boss fight walkthrough for more details.
35. Grafted Scion x2 (Fringefolk Hero's Grave)
In the challenging Fringefolk Hero's Grave, once you reach the portion of the walkway with the narrow ramp, you can drop off the side onto a hidden platform below, which takes you to a separate area of the dungeon. At the end of this section is a bridge. If you cross this bridge, two Grafted Scions will drop from the ceiling and attack you. This is quite a difficult fight if you're on your first playthrough, so I'd recommend leaving these Scions alone until later on if you have trouble beating them.
36. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Fringefolk Hero's Grave)
The Ulcerated Tree Spirit, despite being accessible very early on in Fringefolk Hero's Grave, is one of the toughest bosses in all of Limgrave (including the main bosses of the region). Its movements are erratic, designed to obfuscate its very powerful attacks; and it can soak up quite a lot of punishment too. Prepare for it to take a bit of time to learn all the attack patterns of this chaotic creature.
37. Crucible Knight (Stormhill Evergaol)
The Crucible Knight gave me more trouble than any boss I've mentioned so far during my first playthrough. Awaiting you inside the Stormhill Evergaol, this ominous armoured warrior has unexpected timings on his attack combos, and deals lots of damage with every swing. He also begins to use angelic wings and holy attacks during his intense second phase. If you have the patience though, there are few bosses better for learning how to parry.
Check out our Elden Ring Crucible Knight boss fight walkthrough for more details.
38. Margit, The Fell Omen (Stormveil Castle)
The first "required" boss in Elden Ring is the unsightly Margit, The Fell Omen. He guards the entrance to Stormveil Castle, and you won't be allowed to progress into the castle proper until you've defeated him. Margit is a powerful boss by early-game standards, with a long reach and relentless attack combos.
Check out our Elden Ring Margit boss fight walkthrough for more details.
39. Grafted Scion (Stormveil Castle)
You should be familiar by now with the Grafted Scion's many-handed sword attacks and unusual, spider-like movements - which is good, because you'll soon encounter him again in the bowels of Stormveil Castle. He's a tough one, but if you're having trouble you can easily cheese him with ranged attacks through doorways which you can fit through but he cannot.
40. Lion Guardian (Stormveil Castle)
Taking the far more dangerous route into Stormveil Castle (via the main gate), you'll soon encounter a Lion Guardian miniboss guarding a path leading east. This is the first of several Lion Guardians you'll encounter in Elden Ring, so it's best to take the time now to learn its fast, sweeping, leaping attack patterns.
41. Crucible Knight (Stormveil Castle)
An exact copy of the Crucible Knight you encountered in the Stormhill Evergaol can be found in a very well-hidden area of Stormveil Castle. Just after the Rampart Tower Site of Grace, kill the three birds hauling explosive barrels, then jump off the jutting out portion of the ledge to the left. Follow the path and it'll lead you to another Crucible Knight.
Check out our Elden Ring Crucible Knight boss fight walkthrough for more details.
42. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Stormveil Castle)
Interestingly, you can also find another Ulcerated Tree Spirit dwelling below Stormveil Castle. To get there, head to the Secluded Cell Site of Grace, head into the pots area opposite, but then double back and climb up onto the ledge above the doorway, and jump through the window to the side. From there, follow the new path down and it'll eventually take you to a whole new part of Stormveil Castle.
Check out our Elden Ring Ulcerated Tree Spirit boss fight walkthrough for more details.
43. Godrick The Grafted (Stormveil Castle)
Godrick the Grafted is the Lord of Stormveil Castle, and the main boss of Limgrave. So as you might imagine, he's far from a pushover. Like Margit, Godrick utilises aggressive combo attacks which require lots of successive dodging; and his second phase gives him the use of a dragon's head as an arm, which acts as a flamethrower that you should be very careful about approaching.
Check out our Elden Ring Godrick the Grafted boss fight walkthrough for more details.
44. Mad Tongue Alberich (Roundtable Hold)
Mad Tongue Alberich invades your world if you jump off the balcony into the main hall of the Roundtable Hold. He's a fairly tricky early-game invader to deal with, thanks to the long reach of his bleed-inflicting scythe and his frost-based spell attacks. Take your time, and only strike when it's safe to do so.
45. Cleanrot Knight (Stillwater Cave)
The imposing, metalclad, cape-wearing Cleanrot Knight can be found in the final room of Stillwater Cave. He's a dangerous foe wielding dual spears, and it doesn't help that you must fight him in an area flooded with poisoned water. Bring whatever you can to increase your immunity stat, and watch out for his cross-blade guard counter.
46. Adan, Thief Of Fire (Malefactor's Evergaol)
Adan, Thief Of Fire is the prisoner inside the Malefactor's Evergaol a short distance down the left path behind Stormveil Castle. As such, he's a very early boss to contend against in Liurnia - and he's not too terribly difficult to face. He packs a punch with his flail, and you'll need to watch out for his quick fire attacks, but his low health and low poise make it an easier fight than many on this list.
47. Erdtree Burial Watchdog (Cliffbottom Catacombs)
Ahh, what's there to talk about? It's another Burial Watchdog. You know the drill by now!
48. Night's Cavalry (Gate Town Bridge)
Yep, Night's Cavalry are a thing in Liurnia of the Lakes as well as Limgrave. This Night's Cavalry is marginally more powerful than its preceding brethren in this list, simply because of the region-based difficulty scaling. But functionally, it is identical to the others, with much the same moveset.
49. Tibia Mariner (East Liurnia)
The Tibia Mariner is a boss fight that you'll likely encounter several times during your treks across the Lands Between. There was one to be found in Limgrave; another is here, a short distance south from the Carian Study Hall. This Tibia Mariner is of a higher calibre than the Limgrave variant, capable of summoning a giant half-buried skeleton for a short time. But it's still a cakewalk on horseback; just stay away from the real threats and whale at the Mariner until it is defeated.
50. Preceptor Miriam (Carian Study Hall)
Preceptor Miriam guards the aforementioned Carian Study Hall on Liurnia's eastern edge. If you can get up to her, you'll find that your attack will easily interrupt hers, and she doesn't have much in the way of melee capabilities. But her ranged magical attacks are very powerful if they hit, so you'll need to time your dodges well. You'll also need to fight her twice: once in the ordinary Study Hall, and once in the inverted Study Hall. Check out our guide to the Divine Tower of Liurnia for more details.
51. Golem (Outside Ainsel River Well)
Another Golem can be found guarding the entrance to the Ainsel River Well, a short distance north from the Carian Study Hall where you fought Miriam. You know the drill by now - blunt heavy attacks to the ankles.
52. Bell Bearing Hunter (Church Of Vows)
Head back to the Church Of Vows at night and you're in for another nasty fight with the Bell Bearing Hunter and his telekinetic sword. Relative to your new power level, he's still every bit as challenging to beat as he was back in Limgrave, unless of course you cheese him by constantly staying out of his range and bombarding him with spells and arrows. Hey, I won't judge.
53. Erdtree Avatar (East Minor Erdtree)
The Minor Erdtree on the east side of Liurnia is in an elevated area of land that you can easily access from the main road which leads up to the Grand Lift of Dectus. As with many other Minor Erdtrees in Elden Ring, this one is guarded by an Erdtree Avatar that rests at the tree's base. It is functionally identical to the one in the Weeping Peninsula: filled with powerful but slow attacks, and a single magical attack which can be easily avoided by sprinting sideways.
54. Cemetary Shade & Black Knife Assassin (Black Knife Catacombs)
You'll find two familiar bosses in the Black Knife Catacombs; fortunately, you don't have to fight them both at the same time. The Cemetary Shade is the more obvious boss, while the easily overlooked Black Knife Assassin fight can be reached by slashing at an illusory wall at the back of the room with the skeleton warrior and archer inside.
You'll have encountered both these bosses in Limgrave, but the Black Knife Assassin in particular is more dangerous than before, making it clear that the one you faced in the Deathtouched Catacombs is far from the strongest Black Knife Assassin in Elden Ring. Nor is this one, but, well... We'll deal with that later.
55. Festering Fingerprint Vyke (Church Of Inhibition)
Festering Fingerprint Vyke seemingly invades your world at the Church Of Inhibition only if you've reached the fourth stage of Hyetta's quest (the woman who asks for Shabriri Grapes). Vyke is a fairly straightforward invader, with an aggressive playstyle and a long-ranged spear. His attacks build up your madness meter fairly quickly, so if you're hit two or three times in a row you're likely to die there and then as a result of the madness and accompanying stun. So play it patiently, and use heavy attacks to interrupt his thrusts.
56. Night's Cavalry (Bellum Highway Forest)
A short ride up from the East Raya Lucaria Gate in Liurnia will take you to a tiny patch of forest on the road. Along this road stalks another Night's Cavalry during the night. You know the drill by now, get to it.
57. Ring Blade Crystalian (Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel)
At the end of the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel, you'll find a single Ring Blade Crystalian. If you've already tackled the Academy Crystal Cave, this should be a walk in the park by comparison. Watch out for its different ranged attacks, but otherwise, you know the drill. Whack it with a mace or other blunt weapon until it dies. Simple.
58. Deathbird (Scenic Isle)
Just like Night's Cavalry, the Deathbird is another recurring nighttime-only boss which you'll find in both Liurnia and Limgrave. If you saw either of the Deathbirds in Limgrave, you know what you're in for with this fight around the ruins north of the Scenic Isle Site of Grace.
59. Bloodhound Knight (Lakeside Crystal Cave)
At the end of the Lakeside Crystal Cave at the bottom of Liurnia's lake, you'll find a Bloodhound Knight who is more or less identical to Bloodhound Knight Darriwil from Limgrave's Forlorn Hound Evergaol. Sweeping sword strikes and quick claw attacks make this boss more fearsome than you might expect, but you can quite easily stagger him with heavy attacks.
60. Grafted Scion (Fallen Ruins Of The Lake)
Another enemy that isn't technically a boss but is still worth mentioning: a short distance south of the Fallen Ruins Of The Lake Site of Grace (which is in the middle of Liurnia's lake itself), you'll find a Giant Crayfish wandering about. Crayfish are dangerous at the best of times with its claw and spray attacks, but this particular one is special, because once you kill it, a Grafted Scion will spawn in its place.
Defeat both to claim a Larval Tear - a rare item that is the key to the ability to respec in Elden Ring.
61. Omenkiller (Village Of The Albinaurics)
Omenkiller resides in the Village Of The Albinaurics, which can be found beneath the Moonlight Altar (the southwest mountain area of Liurnia). Shortly before meeting Omenkiller, you'll likely come across Nepheli - the warrior who helped you defeat Godrick the Grafted back in Limgrave - and she will help you once again to defeat Omenkiller.
Not that Omenkiller is nearly as powerful as Godrick was. He has powerful club attacks and can breath fire at a moment's notice, but when aggro'd on Nepheli, you are free to deal tonnes of damage to him safely.
62. Erdtree Avatar (West Minor Erdtree)
Ho hum, it's another Erdtree Avatar. You should know what you're getting into by now: this Erdtree Avatar is much the same as the previous one. Go kill it. You can do it.
63. Spirit-Caller Snail (Road's End Catacombs)
The intriguing Spirit-Caller Snail can be found in the Road's End Catacombs, behind a series of illusory walls starting just under the first staircase in the dungeon. The Snail itself is a weedy little enemy, but it remains invisible most of the time, calling upon powerful spirits to fight you one at a time. After defeating a spirit, the Snail will reveal itself for a short time, allowing you to damage it. It's an interesting but ultimately fairly straightforward boss fight.
64. Edgar The Revenger (Revenger's Shack)
Remember Edgar? He's the guy in Castle Morne whose daughter wanted you to give him her letter. Well, if you defeated Leonine Misbegotten there, then gave Edgar the Grafted Blade Greatsword back, and then fast-travelled to where the daughter was to find Edgar weeping over her corpse... Well, then, next time you head to Revenger's Shack in Liurnia you should be invaded by Edgar. He wields a long halberd, so he has quite the reach; but he's easily knocked off-balance by heavy attacks, so use this to your advantage.
65. Bols, Carian Knight (Cuckoo's Evergaol)
Bols, Carian Knight, resides inside the Cuckoo's Evergaol to the west of Liurnia's lake. Bols is a variant of the simple giant enemy; this one has a sword and a cape, and is better trained for combat. It also knows the basic but effective Glintstone Phalanx sorcery, so you'll have to learn to time your dodges to avoid both Bols's strikes and the magical daggers flying towards you.
66. Crystalians (Academy Crystal Cave)
The Crystalians found at the end of the Academy Crystal Cave (accessible from the lake) are a duo of enemies made from pure crystal. As such, they're almost impervious to many different types of damage, but they're vulnerable to blunt attacks, so make sure you bring a weapon capable of inflicting strike damage for this fight.
Fighting a pair of bosses can be very difficult, but in this case it's not terrible because the Ring Blade Crystalian tends to stay at range, while the spear-wielding Crystalian likes to close the gap between you. Use this knowledge to separate them as much as possible, and take them out one at a time.
67. Royal Revenant (Kingsrealm Ruins Underground)
The Royal Revenant is not to be sniffed at. It's a version of the powerful Swamp Lord enemy that guards the Laskyar Ruins in the lake, as well as certain ruins up in the Moonlight Altar. It has low health, but it's a scary boss with long combos of fast and powerful attacks which make it very hard to avoid all damage. However, it has a huge weakness: using AoE heals in its vicinity will deal massive damage and stun it instantly.
You should also be aware that the path down to the underground section of the Kingsrealm Ruins is hidden by an illusory floor. Find the ghost sitting in a corner; head through the hole in the wall heading east; then jump over the next wall directly in front of you. You should now be standing on the illusory floor. Slash at it to dispel it.
68. Death Rite Bird (Gate Town North)
The fearsome Death Rite Bird can be found in a swampy clearing abutting the eastern side of the Academy, and only appears at nighttime. Don't underestimate this adversary: it can mess you up with its unusual AoE black flame attacks, and sweeping melee strikes that make it hard to play around it on horseback. I'd advise bringing a weapon with the sacred affinity.
69. Glintstone Dragon Smarag (Temple Quarter)
Glintstone Dragon Smarag is another notable inhabitant of the lake surrounding the Raya Lucaria Academy. It can be found at the bit of land just to the west of the Academy itself, and it is guarding the Glintstone Key that you'll need in order to get into said Academy.
Much like Flying Dragon Agheel, you should tackle Glintstone Dragon Smarag carefully and patiently, and on horseback to make things easier. Smarag is capable of bursts of Glintstone magic, but you can avoid them as easily as any dragon's breath attack. Hack and slash at its legs until it goes down.
Check out our Elden Ring Glintstone Dragon Smarag boss fight walkthrough for more details.
70. Ravenmount Assassin (Academy)
The Ravenmount Assassin is a unique enemy in that you are called upon to help another ally, rather than calling upon an ally for aid yourself. Once you reach the main entrance of the Academy, head past the north-east seal and you'll find a summon sign on the ground. Interact with it to aid Yura, Hunter of Bloody Fingers, in a fight against a being known as the Ravenmount Assassin.
The Ravenmount Assassin is like a more dangerous version of Bloody Finger Nerijus, from your first meeting with Yura. It is very quick with its bleed-inflicting blades, and can change targets as fast as thought, so don't think you're safe just because it's currently focused on Yura. Take your time, and stay at range if you can.
71. Red Wolf Of Radagon (Academy)
The Red Wolf Of Radagon is one of the two essential Elden Ring bosses in Liurnia. It's functionally identical to the Red Wolf behind Caria Manor, but you'll likely encounter this one first in all honesty. Its various magical attacks are more difficult to avoid here thanks to the obstacles and confines of the room you're in; but take your time, and time your attacks, and it will actually be over quite quickly thanks to the Wolf's low health.
Check out our Elden Ring Red Wolf Of Radagon boss fight walkthrough for more details.
72. Moongrum, Carian Knight (Academy)
The Carian Knight Moongrum guards the entrance to the Academy's Grand Library where you'll face Rennala. Moongrum is sort of like a Crucible Knight in miniature, with a large shield that can soak up plenty of attacks. He will occasionally switch out this shield for a staff in order to cast Glintstone sorceries to keep you on your toes.
73. Rennala, Queen Of The Full Moon (Academy)
Rennala, Queen Of The Full Moon, is the Great Rune holder of Liurnia, and the main boss of the entire region. Its first phase, while curious, its actually incredibly easy; its second phase, however, can be mightily annoying thanks to Rennala's stunning array of powerful spell attacks and Spirit Ashes. You can find her in the heart of the Academy, in the Raya Lucaria Grand Library.
Check out our Elden Ring Rennala boss fight walkthrough for more details.
74. Royal Knight Loretta (Caria Manor)
Now we travel to the far north of Liurnia. Royal Knight Loretta is the guardian of the dangerous Caria Manor, and she is a dangerous adversary, make no mistake. She's basically a sorceress variant of the Tree Sentinel found at the beginning of Limgrave, capable both of powerful melee attacks and endless Glintstone sorceries to bombard you from afar.
Check out our Elden Ring Royal Knight Loretta boss fight walkthrough for more details.
75. Glintstone Dragon Adula (Three Sisters)
Glintstone Dragon Adula is another named dragon which guards the Three Sisters - the area behind Caria Manor, which is home to three towers. Functionally, Adula is very similar to Glintstone Dragon Smarag. The only big difference here is that after losing a certain amount of health, Adula will fly away from Caria Manor for good. You can catch up with it again and slay it once and for all at the Moonlight Altar, much later on in Ranni's quest.
76. Red Wolf (Caria Manor Outskirts)
Another Red Wolf can be found on the edge of the cliff to the east of Caria Manor, just south of the Royal Grave Evergaol. This Red Wolf is surrounded by regular wolves, so be careful not to be overwhelmed by a barrage of bites and spells coming from every direction. It may be an idea to stay on horseback at least until the regular wolves are slain.
77. Alabaster Lord (Royal Grave Evergaol)
The Royal Grave Evergaol itself is inhabited by an Alabaster Lord. You may already have encountered a similar enemy on the shores of Limgrave, but this one is definitely more powerful. Wielding not just a wicked-looking curved sword but a variety of meteoric and gravity-based sorceries, the Alabaster Lord's goal seems to be to disrupt your rhythm as much as possible by raining projectiles down on you, drawing you in, and finishing you off at close range.
Don't underestimate this opponent. Stay at range when it casts magic, and watch out for its attack where it runs around you before slicing at your back. If you're a fan of guard counters, try to resist the urge when he uses this attack, as it will likely miss him.
78. Magma Wyrm Makar (Ruin-Strewn Precipice)
If you want to sidestep the Grand Lift of Dectus and reach the Altus Plateau, you'll need to go through the Magma Wyrm Makar in the Ruin-Strewn Precipice. This dragon-like being spews magma on the ground around itself, which can make it difficult to get close at times. This fight is a test of patience, as the Wyrm loves to charge across its arena like a toddler having a tantrum.
Check out our Elden Ring Magma Wyrm Makar boss fight walkthrough for more details.
79. Malformed Star (Uhl Palace Ruins)
After using the Ainsel River Well to reach the underground section below Liurnia, you'll quickly come across the Uhl Palace Ruins, guarded by a very nasty-looking upside-down hanging creature known as a Malformed Star. This creature will fire a barrage of meteorites at you whenever it sees you, so you'll need to use cover to approach it, then tackle it from the upper ledge behind it (or use ranged weapons).
80. Dragonkin Soldier Of Nokstella (Ainsel River Downstream)
The first major boss you'll find in Ainsel River is certainly a big one. The Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella is one of several Dragonkin Soldiers you'll come across in the underground layer of Elden Ring's map, and acts rather like a slightly smaller dragon which prefers claw and slam attacks to breathing fire. It's a powerful boss who can likely kill you with just a couple of hits, so stay under its legs or at range to keep yourself as safe as possible.
81. Ancestor Spirit (Siofra River)
From one underground region to another! Head back to the Mistwood in Limgrave and take the Siofra River Well elevator down to Siofra River. Here, the beautiful Ancestor Spirit boss can be accessed by lighting all the fires for the southernmost Hallowhorn Grounds area. The Ancestor Spirit itself acts much like a very large, very dangerous horse that can breathe floaty spirit-fire across the ground. It's a fantastic fight, I loved every second of it.
82. Dragonkin Soldier (Siofra River)
Oh look, it's another Dragonkin Soldier! This one can be found at the base of the giant waterfall next to the northern Hallowhorn Grounds. Like the others, it's big and strong and its whole gameplan revolves around swiping and clawing at you, so you should spend some time learning its tells so you know when to dodge-roll out of the way.
83. Misbegotten Warrior & Perfumer Tricia (Unsightly Catacombs)
This unlikely duo is to be found at the very end of the Unsightly Catacombs tucked away in the western corner of the Altus Plateau. It's always dangerous when you have to fight two bosses at once; fortunately, you can largely ignore Perfumer Tricia, who occupies a mainly supporting role, while you carefully battle the aggressive Misbegotten Warrior until the killing blow. After that, it should be plain sailing; as with all Perfumers, Tricia doesn't put up much of a fight in one-on-one melee combat.
84. Necromancer Garris & Black Knife Assassin (Sage's Cave)
The Sage's Cave is home to two bosses in different arenas. The path splits towards the end of the dungeon, with Necromancer Garris on the left, and the Black Knife Assassin on the right.
Necromancer Garris is a fairly straightforward enemy: just dodge his summons and his homing skull attacks, and work on pummelling away at his low poise and low health. But the Black Knife Assassin is a dangerous one, because, for the most part, he's completely invisible. You have to watch for the splashes he makes in the water to find him most of the time, and be very careful of his grab attack, which can backstab you for colossal (potential one-shot) damage.
85. Ancient Dragon Lansseax (Abandoned Coffin)
Ancient Dragon Lansseax, one of two sibling dragons with powerful lightning abilities, greets you shortly after you've battled through the Ruin-Strewn Precipice to reach the Altus Plateau for the first time. It certainly looks intimidating with its thunderous lightning attacks, but your gameplan here is much the same as with other dragons you've fought so far. Stay on horseback, slash at the legs, and play it safe.
After about a third of Lansseax's health is depleted, it will fly off. You can finish the fight by heading to the clearing south of the Rampartside Path Site of Grace to the far east of the Plateau.
86. Demi-Human Queen Gilika (Lux Ruins)
One of a trio of Demi-Human Queens nearby (the other two in Mt. Gelmir), Queen Gilika can be found underneath the Lux Ruins. She may seem strong and aggressive, but she can actually be beaten very handily as long as you dodge out of the way of her clearly telegraphed attacks.
87. Tibia Mariner (Wyndham Ruins)
Another Tibia Mariner reveals itself as you approach the southern edge of the Wyndham Ruins. As with the Liurnian Mariner, this one is more powerful than the Limgrave variant, capable of summoning colossal skeletons for a short amount of time that sweep the land with their giant skeletal hands looking for you. But as with all Mariners, it's a fairly easy fight once you know to ignore the summons and go straight for the boatman.
88. Erdtree Burial Watchdog (Wyndham Catacombs)
Another Erdtree Burial Watchdog can be found in the Wyndham Catacombs a very short distance from the Wyndham Ruins. There's not much new to say here: you should know about the Burial Watchdog's moveset by now. Dodge its slam attacks, strike at it while it recovers.
89. Godefroy The Grafted (Golden Lineage Evergaol)
Hidden within the easily missed Golden Lineage Evergaol is a familiar face: it's Godrick's near-identical descendant, Godefroy the Grafted. This is essentially another opportunity to fight Godrick with more levelled up stats and gear. This is obviously not a particularly easy fight, as Godrick/Godefroy has numerous lengthy combo attacks with unusual timings that may trip you up. But you can probably rely on your muscle memory from Stormveil Castle to make this fight quite a bit easier than the Godrick fight.
90. Night's Cavalry (Altus Highway)
Another Night's Cavalry can be found on the highway leading from the Grand Lift Of Dectus to the entrance to Leyndell along the south of the Altus Plateau. This Night's Cavalry wields a flail, and is not afraid to leap large distances in order to hit you with it, so be wary.
91. Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger (Second Church Of Marika)
The culmination of Yura's minor invader questline (as described in our Elden Ring quests guide) which began way back with the fight against Bloody Finger Nerijus. Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger is a powerful adversary with a powerful weapon that inflicts a lot of bleed damage in a short space of time. I'd recommend keeping your distance during her attacks, and hitting her either with ranged/magical attacks or carefully in melee while she recovers.
92. Stonedigger Troll (Old Altus Tunnel)
Another Stonedigger Troll can be found at the end of the Old Altus Tunnel. This giant club-wielding enemy is much the same as his counterpart early on in Limgrave - but obviously it packs more of a punch and has more health, by dint of inhabiting a higher-level region. Still, this shouldn't be a lengthy fight if you remember the timing on its attacks from before.
93. Maleigh Marais, Shaded Castle Castellan (The Shaded Castle)
Malais Marais is an invader-like miniboss who awaits you in the outskirts of the Shaded Castle. They're a Perfumer, equipped with numerous AoE spray attacks which can inflict poison - or worse, Scarlet Rot - upon you. Stay out of the way of these, and watch out for their long-range rapier thrust attack, but otherwise adopt an aggressive playstyle to quickly whittle away their meagre health.
94. Elemer Of The Briar (The Shaded Castle)
Elemer Of The Briar is the main boss of The Shaded Castle, which is the closest thing to a legacy dungeon as you'll find in the Altus Plateau. Elemer Of The Briar is the Bell Bearing Hunter from before: a powerful, dangerous, high-health boss with telekinetic sword attacks and unusual timings that make besting him quite a task. You can make the fight easier by summoning some powerful Spirit Ashes to tank his attacks and divide his attention.
95. Sanguine Noble (Writheblood Ruins)
The Sanguine Noble can be found in the cellar beneath the Writheblood Ruins. This enemy is quick with a sword, and loves to coat the ground around him in bleed-inflicting pools of blood. It's very easily staggered by attacks, though - particularly if you enlist the aid of some strong Spirit Ashes.
96. Magnus The Beast Claw (Writheblood Ruins)
Magnus The Beast Claw was newly added with patch 1.06 as part of White Mask Varre's questline. Instead of having to invade three players, you can now head to the Writheblood Ruins to invade Magnus's world and defeat him to progress Varre's quest. Magnus himself is a decent combatant, with a giant club and a series of ranged AOE attacks taken straight from Gurranq's playbook. The shockwaves, rock-hurling, and heavy club attacks wear down your stamina very quickly if you block, so focus instead on dodging his attacks and countering in close range.
97. Wormface (Minor Erdtree)
A Wormface guards the minor Erdtree in the centre of the Altus Peninsula. This horrific-looking enemy is surprisingly fast, and loves to spew death-blight clouds everywhere around itself, making it difficult to finish this fight quickly. But the creature itself is not very powerful. I'd advise staying on horseback if you want to make it easier to avoid its multiple foot-stamps and death-blighting clouds.
98. Crystalians x2 (Altus Tunnel)
Another pair of Crystalians awaits you at the end of the Altus Tunnel to the south of the Altus Plateau's Minor Erdtree. They're an annoying pair, with one staying at range and the other constantly jumping and thrusting with a spear, closing the distance between you. Bring a blunt weapon and take your time to avoid danger from both combatants.
99. Lion Guardian (South Of Windmill Village)
See that small patch of ruins south of the Windmill Village, roughly in line with the Minor Erdtree? Head there and you'll find a cowering Wandering Noble in the southwest corner of the main ruined building. Hit it once and it'll turn into a much more fearsome foe: another Lion Guardian. Defeat it for a Larval Tear.
100. Godskin Apostle (Dominula Windmill Village)
The Godskin Apostle awaits you at the very end of the Dominula Windmill Village (the strange area filled with dancing inhabitants). The Apostle is a surprisingly dangerous boss with quite a reach on its blade, particularly during its second phase where its body becomes strangely elongated. It also wields dangerous AoE black flame attacks which can easily kill you if you're not prepared.
101. Ancient Dragon Lansseax (Rampartside Path)
As mentioned earlier, Ancient Dragon Lansseax flies off when you first face it. You can find it again on the Rampartside Path, on the way to the Sainted Hero's Grave. Take your time and don't get tunnel-vision - Lansseax can turn a fight around quickly.
102. Black Knife Assassin (Sainted Hero's Grave Entrance)
There is a Black Knife Assassin guarding the entrance to the Sainted Hero's Grave, just a short walk from the Rampartside Path Site of Grace. As with all Black Knife Assassins, it can be very dangerous if you run out of stamina, as he can easily perform a critical hit on you. But maintain your aggression and slash at him to disrupt his attacks, and you'll make the fight much easier.
103. Ancient Hero Of Zamor (Sainted Hero's Grave)
Inside the Sainted Hero's Grave, you'll find another Ancient Hero Of Zamor awaiting you at the end. The Altus Plateau does seem to be the region where bosses are recycled and upscaled, giving you a chance to test yourself against a more powerful version of what you've faced before. But as long as you watch out for its quick movements and frost attacks, you should be alright here, as it doesn't have very much health.
104. Malformed Star (Perfumer's Grotto)
The Perfumer's Grotto is a well-hidden cave which connects to the nearby Altus Tunnel, and provides a clear path to the boss. Or bosses, in this case. On the way to the final boss room, you'll encounter another meteorite-spewing Malformed Star, just like the one you found in Ainsel River.
105. Omenkiller & Miranda The Blighted Bloom (Perfumer's Grotto)
Omenkiller and Miranda are an interesting pairing found at the end of the Perfumer's Grotto, but they're not terribly hard to deal with. Just as with Perfumer Tricia, you can largely ignore Miranda, simply staying away from her and dodging her magic attacks, while you fight the Omenkiller one-on-one.
106. Fallingstar Beast (South Altus Plateau Crater)
Head just a little way south of the entrance to Leyndell, the Capital, and you'll come across a crater. As you approach the crater, a Fallingstar Beast will be summoned. This is a dangerous foe at any stage of the game thanks to its hard-to-avoid charge attacks and large gravity-based AoE spells. You can fight it on foot or on horseback, but either way be careful of its charges, stay on the move, and don't get greedy. My best advice: aim for the face.
107. Tree Sentinel x2 (Leyndell Entrance)
Now, this one's pretty dangerous. There are two Tree Sentinels guarding the entrance to the Capital, Leyndell. Each of these Tree Sentinels is quite a lot stronger and more threatening than the one that you faced in Limgrave. You'll definitely want to stay on horseback for this fight, and be careful not to overextend yourself while fighting one Sentinel, lest the other come up behind you and stab you in the back. This is probably the hardest boss encounter in Altus Plateau, so don't underestimate them.
108. Magma Wyrm (Gael Tunnel)
The Magma Wyrm is likely to be one of the first bosses you'll encounter in the Caelid Wilds, located as it is in the Gael Tunnel between Limgrave and Caelid. Much like Magma Wyrm Makar on the border between Liurnia and Altus, this Magma Wyrm loves to spew magma and charge across its arena, meaning players should play this one patiently if they want a clean victory.
109. Erdtree Avatar (West Minor Erdtree)
The two Avatars of Caelid are the strongest Erdtree Avatars you'll have experienced so far in this list. The lesser of them can be found to the west, a short way in from Limgrave on the north shore. It packs more of a punch than the others so far, but otherwise it's much the same fight.
110. Ertree Burial Watchdog x2 (Minor Erdtree Catacombs)
There's a reason the Erdtree Burial Watchdog was one of the first and easiest bosses in Limgrave: it's slow, and has clearly telegraphed and easily learned attack patterns. FromSoftware's way of upping the difficulty later on is to throw two of them at you simultaneously in the Minor Erdtree Catacombs. You'll have to play this one quite carefully, and keep an eye on both to make sure you aren't punished for your attacks.
111. Mad Pumpkin Head x2 (Caelem Ruins Underground)
Much like the Burial Watchdogs above, in Caelid you'll be challenged by two of a previously straightforward enemy simultaneously. The two Pumpkin Heads found beneath the Caelem Ruins are dangerous simply thanks to their aggression, the confined space, and the risk of them coordinating their attacks. Try to keep your distance from one while you focus the other.
112. Frenzied Duelist (Gaol Cave)
The Frenzied Duelist is a not much different from the Grave Warden Duelists you've encountered previously. It just hits a bit harder. The tough part is getting to him: you have to pull the lever at the end of the cave to unlock all the jail cells, then find the large cell with the wooden plank on the right-hand side. Cut through the plank to reach the Frenzied Duelist.
113. Lion Guardian (Fort Gael)
Just past the main gate of Fort Gael, you'll find the grounds patrolled by another Lion Guardian, this time with Caelid level scaling. It hits hard, so you can't let your guard down for a moment (unless you're overlevelled, in which case, have fun).
114. Decaying Ekzykes (Caelid Highway South)
Decaying Ekzykes is a Scarlet Rot-breathing dragon found on the south of the long circular road around the Aeonia Swamp. He's more dangerous than the other dragons you've already come across, mainly because he has an extra attack where he breathes powerful Scarlet Rot gas around him, making it imperative that you keep your distance at these moments.
115. Cemetary Shade (Caelid Catacombs)
Another Cemetary Shade can be encountered at the end of the Caelid Catacombs to the south of the Caelid Wilds. Like other Cemetary Shades you'll find across the Lands Between, this one is hard to pin down and can be devastating if you allow its quick knife attack combos to land; but it has amazingly little health, and can be defeated in just a few strong hits.
116. Night's Cavalry (Caelid Highway South)
This flail-wielding Night's Cavalry can be found a short distance along the road past Decaying Ekzykes, and like other Night's Cavalry it will only spawn at night. It's much the same fight as any other Night's Cavalry. If you can focus his horse and get him on the ground, you can get a nice critical attack for a large chunk of damage.
117. Death Rite Bird (Southern Aeonia Swamp Bank)
Another powerful Death Rite Bird can be found between Aeonia Swamp and Redmane Castle, and, like the one in Liurnia, it only appears at nighttime. This one is even stronger than the Liurnia variant, so be extra careful to avoid its devastating black flame attacks.
118. Lion Guardian (South Caelid)
Yet another Lion Guardian can be found nestled amongst the rotting undergrowth in South Caelid, to the southeast of the Nomadic Merchant on the highway.
119. Commander O'Neil (Aeonia Swamp)
Commander O'Neil resides deep in the forbidding Aeonia Swamp. This boss relies heavily on some annoying archer summons to harass you while you fight him, so it's a good idea to clear these summons out as soon as they arrive. Commander O'Neil himself is certainly more dangerous than the average fighter, but one-on-one he's very beatable.
120. Millicent (Aeonia Swamp)
Before you complete Gowry's quest to cure Millicent's sickness (as described in our Elden Ring quests guide), she may invade you as you explore the Aeonia Swamp. She can be fairly dangerous if you're on the receiving end of one of her flurry attacks, but otherwise the real danger is the Swamp itself. Make sure you're equipped with something that can handle Scarlet Rot, or stay on dry land as much as possible.
121. Nox Swordstress & Nox Priest (Chair-Crypt Of Sellia)
It's always a little worrying when you have to fight two bosses at once, but the Nox Swordstress and Nox Priest really aren't too bad. Their attacks may be strong, but both enemies have very low health, and can be quickly burst down without too much trouble - especially if you have summons to aid you.
122. Fallingstar Beast (Sellia Crystal Tunnel)
Ah yes, the Sellia Crystal Tunnel. This place may be many players' first glimpse of the Caelid Wilds, after being ensnared in a transporter trap in a chest back in Limgrave that transports you here. Fight your way to the end and you'll come across another Fallingstar Beast just like the one in the crater in the Altus Plateau. As with before: aim for the face.
123. Crystalians x3 (Sellia Hideaway)
You've probably already prevailed against two Crystalians at once by now, but three? That might be pushing it a bit. Granted, I did manage to beat the three Crystalians at the end of Sellia Hideaway first time, but I had to use nearly all my healing to do so. I'd advise taking out the staff-user first, followed by the spear-user, and finally the ringblade Crystalian. Bear in mind also that all their attacks build up your Scarlet Rot meter, so bring something that can alleviate the build-up, or you're ruined.
124. Misbegotten Warrior & Crucible Knight (Redmane Castle)
If you reach Redmane Castle before certain conditions are met, then it won't be the festival to fight Starscourge Radahn that you are faced with in the main area. Instead, you'll be presented with a Misbegotten Warrior, who at half health is joined by a Crucible Knight. A potent combination. You should use everything at your disposal (including Spirit Ashes) to burst down the Misbegotten Warrior before the Crucible Knight starts to become a real issue.
125. Lion Guardians x2 (Redmane Castle)
Caelid sure does like its Lion Guardians - and it makes sense, because in the lore they are almost certainly connected in some way to General Radahn. Two more Lion Guardians can be found together inside the grounds of Redmane Castle. Tackling both at the same time is very difficult with most builds, so I'd recommend trying to isolate them and take them on one at a time. Once defeated, they won't respawn.
126. Starscourge Radahn (Redmane Castle)
Starscourge Radahn is the main boss of the Caelid Wilds, and the bearer of another Great Rune. He is probably the runebearer of the major five which gave me the most trouble, with his powerful sweeping strikes and devastating ranged attacks. Even with the full might of everyone at the festival joining you, it can be quite a task to take him down.
Check out our Elden Ring Radahn boss fight walkthrough for more details.
127. Putrid Tree Spirit (War-Dead Catacombs)
The secretive War-Dead Catacombs can only be accessed after you defeat Radahn. Head to the northern edge of his massive arena to find the catacombs; at the end, you'll face a Putrid Tree Spirit, which is much the same as an Ulcerated Tree Spirit but rather more rot-infested.
128. Knights Of The Great Jar x3 (Caelid Colosseum)
This section of Caelid can be accessed most easily via the secondary elevator in Siofra River, which takes you right up into the path leading north to the Caelid Colosseum.
Sadly, you don't get to fight the gigantic Great Jar which sits, arms crossed, before the Colosseum. Instead, you have three summon signs which allow you to call forth three Knights Of The Great Jar to fight one at a time. Defeat all of them in a row, and you get a reward. These fighters each have different equipment and a different playstyle, so you should play it careful at first to figure out the attack patterns of each one. Depending on your level, this can be a very challenging fight, which is why I tend to leave it until last in non-Dragonbarrow Caelid.
129. Crucible Knight (Nokron, via Four Belfries)
By accessing the third waygate of the Four Belfries (that is, the second-highest one), you'll be transported to an isolated section of Nokron, along a bridge where a Crucible Knight stands overlooking the underground stars. It's a marvellous setting for a fight.
130. Mimic Tear (Nokron)
Here's an interesting boss: an exact copy of yourself. The Mimic Tear appears a short way into Nokron, the Eternal City, and obviously it's hard to talk about the challenges posed by this boss, because it entirely depends on your own character's attributes and equipment. But otherwise it feels much like a standard NPC invasion encounter.
131. Red Wolf (Ancestral Woods)
Towards the west side of the Ancestral Woods outside Nokron, you'll come across another Lesser Red Wolf Of Radagon. Fortunately you're in a fairly wide open space, so there's plenty of freedom to run around and dodge the Wolf's arsenal of sorcery attacks. Just like the main Red Wolf in Liurnia, it's a glass cannon and can be burst down quickly.
132. Regal Ancestor Spirit (Ancestral Woods)
The Regal Ancestor Spirit is the stronger version of the Ancestor Spirit, and can be accessed by lighting the fires for the northern Hallowhorn Grounds area. The Regal variant is identical to the first, except in this arena there are also spirit animals moving about everywhere.
These spirits are neutral and cannot attack or be attacked; but every so often the Spirit will sap the lifeforce of the spirit animals nearby in order to replenish its own health. That means you'll have to be more patient and careful in this fight than against the previous Ancestor Spirit.
Check out our Elden Ring Regal Ancestor Spirit boss fight walkthrough for more details.
133. Crucible Knight (Siofra Aqueduct)
A short way into the Siofra Aqueduct, you'll find a series of connected stone towers. One of the bridges leading from the first such tower is patrolled by a Crucible Knight. Fun tip: once the Crucible Knight reaches its second (flying) phase, you can very easily bait it into flying off the edge and plummeting to an ignoble death.
134. Crucible Knight (Siofra Aqueduct)
Further into Siofra Aqueduct you'll encounter another Crucible Knight, this one of the Silurian style - that is, wielding a giant tree-like spear instead of a greatsword. The attack patterns are similar, but as always, you should never underestimate a Crucible Knight. Take it slow and careful.
135. Valiant Gargoyles (Siofra Aqueduct)
This fight was one of the toughest in the entire game for me. At the end of the Siofra Aqueduct you'll come across a Valiant Gargoyle, which, like all Gargoyles, is a powerful adversary by itself. But knock its health down by 50%, and another Valiant Gargoyle will enter the fight, this one with a Twinblade and Axe, and the ability to use them much more aggressively than the first.
Unless you're min-maxing or seriously overlevelled, it can be a real challenge to fight both of them at once. You'll have to be very careful here.

136. Preceptor Miriam (Inverted Carian Study Hall)
At this point, it's a good idea to return to the Carian Study Hall and use the Carian Inverted Statue you got from Ranni's quest. Inside the Inverted version of the hall, you'll need to contend with the extremely annoying Preceptor Miriam once again.
137. Godskin Noble (Divine Tower Bridge)
Once you fight your way past Preceptor Miriam in the Inverted Study Hall, you'll arrive on the Divine Tower Bridge. Halfway down this bridge, a Godskin Noble enemy will appear in front of you. While not technically a boss (as in, there is no boss health bar), I'm including it here for two reasons. One: it doesn't respawn. And two: it's a good deal stronger than a lot of bosses you've encountered so far.
The Godskin Noble is fond of throwing fire, and stabbing at you an awful lot with his rapier. He's deceptively quick, and has a lot of health to whittle away at, making him a very dangerous foe.
138. Erdtree Avatar (Deeproot Depths)
You can reach the Deeproot Depths by riding the coffin at the end of the Siofra Aqueduct (just past the Valiant Gargoyles). The first boss you'll find once you've arrived will likely be an Erdtree Avatar hanging out not far from where you spawn. It's much the same as other Erdtree Avatars you've faced, albeit rather stronger than most. This is a high-level region, after all.
139. Crucible Knight Siluria (Deeproot Depths)
Crucible Knight Siluria is the other named Crucible Knight besides Ordovis. She isn't nearly as difficult to defeat, however, because unlike the cowardly Ordovis, Siluria fights you one-on-one. It's still a tough fight, as she packs all the regular long combos of the Crucible Knight's repertoire, and has a surprisingly good reach with her polearm.
140. Fia's Champions (Deeproot Depths)
Fia's Champions await you in this secret area of the Deeproot Depths, and only become available to fight once you've progressed through Fia's questline to the point where she leaves the Roundtable Hold (as described in our Elden Ring quests guide). These champions are individually not very powerful, but together they can easily wear you down. The final phase is the hardest, as you must fight three invaders simultaneously, one of whom is the tanky and surprisingly nimble Lionel The Lionhearted.
141. Lichdragon Fortissax (Deeproot Depths)
After fighting Fia's Champions, if you choose to hug Fia then later on when you return you'll find her asleep where you left her. Interact with her to enter the Deathbed Dream, where you'll fight Lansseax's sibling, the Lichdragon Fortissax. It's a near-identical fight, but this time you can't use Torrent. It can be rather tough to avoid Fortissax's lightning attacks in melee range, but fortunately this dragon doesn't have much of an answer to the patient ranged playstyle.
142. Malformed Star (Nokstella)
Another Malformed Star is quickly encountered as you approach Nokstella via the teleporter in Renna's Rise - which you can only access after retrieving the Fingerslayer Blade for Ranni. As with previous Malformed Stars, the trick is to dodge its attacks until you're up close and personal, and then finish it off with melee or ranged attacks.
143. Baleful Shadow (Nokstella)
The Baleful Shadow can be fought as part of Ranni's questline. Essentially an evil version of Blaidd, the Baleful Shadow is one of the most powerful humanoid enemies you're likely to have come across so far, capable of dangerous combos with its massive two-handed greatsword.
144. Dragonkin Soldier (Lake Of Rot)
Another Dragonkin Soldier can be found slumbering in the Lake Of Rot. It's unclear whether the beast itself is stronger or weaker than the Nokstella variant, but the fact that this fight occurs within the Lake Of Rot makes it much harder. I'd advise luring it onto the largest piece of nearby land before engaging it properly, and after that be very careful that it doesn't knock you into the Lake.
145. Alabaster Lord (Lake Of Rot)
This non-respawning miniboss is very easy to miss. You need to get up on top of the ruins in front of the Grand Cloister in the Lake Of Rot, via a walkway in the rock on the east side of the Grand Cloister entrance. Follow the path up and an Alabaster Lord will spawn in front of you atop the ruins.
146. Putrid Tree Spirit (Grand Cloister)
Drop down to the ground from the Grand Cloister Site of Grace, and then head the opposite direction from where you find the coffin that takes you to Astel. As you approach the Rot waterfall at the end of this path, a Putrid Tree Spirit will spawn and attack you.
I'd advise taking out any Kindred Of Rot nearby before spawning the Putrid Tree Spirit, because you don't want to be fighting this boss while dodging ranged attacks from various nearby Kindred.
147. Astel, Naturalborn Of The Void (Beyond Lake Of Rot)
Astel, Naturalborn Of The Void. Now there's a name for a boss. Astel is a very powerful secret boss with its own self-contained arena, which can be accessed by riding the coffin at the end of the Lake Of Rot. Featuring multiple magical AoE attacks and the ability to disappear and reappear elsewhere (including right on top of you for a dangerous one-shot attack), it's important that you keep up the aggression against this boss, or you'll be worn down over time.
Check out our Elden Ring Astel, Naturalborn of the Void boss fight walkthrough for more details.
148. Blaidd (Ranni's Rise)
If you complete the entirety of Ranni's quest up to this point (i.e. you've got as far as defeating Astel), then when you come back to the foot of Ranni's Rise, you'll find Blaidd, Ranni's ex-servant and your ex-ally, in a seemingly confused and hostile mindset. He will attack you on sight, proving a very similar combatant to the other Bloodhound Knight you've faced, but with the extra danger of a frostbite-inflicting sword capable of occasional AoE explosions of frost.
149. Glintstone Dragon Adula (Moonlight Altar)
Beyond the arena of Astel, Naturalborn Of The Void, there's an elevator that will take you up to the Moonlight Altar in the south of Liurnia. As you approach the main landmark here - the Cathedral Of Manus Celes - a familiar draconic face will appear. Glintstone Dragon Adula is back! The good news is that this time, you can slaughter it once and for all.
150. Dragons x3 (Moonlight Altar)
If you have fought your way up to the Moonlight Altar, you'll quickly discover that the land is occupied by a number of full-fledged dragons. They may not be quite as formidable as the named dragons you've encountered so far, but you should be very careful not to gain the attention of more than one at a time. Pick them off one by one, staying patient and using Torrent to the best of its ability.
151. Red Wolf (Moonlight Altar)
While not technically labelled as a boss, there is a Red Wolf akin to the upcoming Red Wolf Of Radagon on the western edge of the Moonlight Altar, just below a group of Crystalians. The Red Wolf is a startlingly powerful adversary thanks to his fast repositioning, his bite attacks, and his Glintstone sorceries.
152. Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader (Ringleader's Evergaol)
Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader. She's a tough one. It's to be expected, given that her Ringleader's Evergaol lies in the Moonlight Altar, which is a fairly late-game area - far more so than the rest of Liurnia. But it was still a surprise to me just how tough the leader of the Black Knife Assassins really is, with her numerous fast and very damaging attacks and her ability to dodge most ranged attacks you throw at her.
If you see her readying a grab, get out of the way quick, because that grab-and-backstab attack is practically a one-shot-kill - as is her large AoE explosion attack, which you'll need to steer well clear from before punishing her during her recovery animation.
153. Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater (Corpse-Stench Shack)
Your second encounter with Anastasia takes place at the Corpse-Stench Shack on the path towards Mount Gelmir from the Altus Plateau. It's much the same as before, with her overhead attacks and slam combos, but obviously here she deals rather more damage and takes more punishment than she did back in Limgrave.
154. Grafted Scion (North Mt. Gelmir)
Guarding the journey towards Volcano Manor are a number of hostile creatures, not least of which is the Grafted Scion you'll encounter across on the edge of the cliffs in the ruined campsite. Its erratic moveset is identical to previous versions of this boss, so there shouldn't be too much to worry about here.
155. Demi-Human Queen Margot (Volcano Cave)
Demi-Human Queen Margot is a pitifully weak enemy compared with most you'll find in Mt. Gelmir. This whole cave is amazingly easy compared to its surroundings, for some reason. Margot is surrounded by Demi-Humans, which may make things awkward if they don't give you time to heal; but if you pick them off, you'll find Margot has low health and not much of an answer to repeated attacks.
156. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Minor Erdtree)
Unlike most Minor Erdtrees in Elden Ring, the one in Mt. Gelmir is guarded not by an Erdtree Avatar but by something even more dangerous: an Ulcerated Tree Spirit. It's much the same as those you'll have encountered in Limgrave, but even stronger thanks to the region-based scaling. Take it slow and dodge its sweeping tail and bite attacks.
157. Kindred Of Rot x2 (Seethewater Cave)
The Kindred Of Rot are another very easy boss fight compared to most you'll find in this region. They can be dangerous if you don't dodge their sprays of projectile attacks, but once you get up close and personal, you'll find they have the health of a regular enemy, and can be very quickly killed.
158. Red Wolf Of The Champion (Gelmir Hero's Grave)
The Red Wolf of the Champion can be found at the very end of Gelmir Hero's Grave, and - thankfully - I actually don't think this boss is nearly as challenging as the trek it takes to reach it. This Red Wolf is much the same as those you've already faced in Liurnia, albeit a little more powerful and healthy. It still should go down quickly compared to other Elden Ring bosses in the region.
159. Wormface (Road Of Iniquity)
This giant Wormface can be found disguised as a Burning Putrid Corpse on the Road Of Iniquity cutting through the north half of Mount Gelmir. Killing the Putrid Corpse will prompt it to reveal its true form and start spewing Death Blight everywhere.
If you've been to the Minor Erdtree in the Altus Plateau, you already know what to expect from this horrible-looking creature. Stay well clear of its death blight attacks, and hack away at its legs when you're able. This fight is much easier on horseback.
160. Fire Prelate (Fort Laiedd)
The only noteworthy enemy guarding the interior of Fort Laiedd on the west coast of Mt. Gelmir is a Fire Prelate. This enemy can certainly be dangerous to the unprepared, constantly spewing flames that make it difficult for melee characters to get close. Up your fire resistance and use frost damage to shorten this fight.
161. Magma Wyrm (South Of Fort Laiedd)
A Magma Wyrm can be found a short distance south of Fort Laiedd. It will emerge from the magma lake as you approach, and - as with all Magma Wyrms - start to charge about the place in short order, leaving trails of magma in its wake. It packs a real punch here, so play it patiently.
162. Demi-Human Queen Maggie (Hermit Village)
Another sweet sigh of relief as you come across another pitifully easy boss in Mt. Gelmir. Margot's and Gilika's counterpart across the mountain, Demi-Human Queen Maggie, can be found just beyond Hermit Village, which can be accessed by heading counter-clockwise all the way around the volcano from the top. Just like her sisters(?), Maggie is a pushover.
163. Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast (Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite)
The Full-Grown Falligstar Beast is likely to be the first major stumbling block for many a player exploring Mt. Gelmir for the first time. A stronger and more dangerous version of the Fallingstar Beast found in the Caelid Wilds, this creature has massive amounts of health, fast charge attacks, massive AoE gravity attacks, and a host of other reasons to really hate this fight. It can be found by using either the ladder or the spiritspring right next to the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite.
Check out our Elden Ring Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast boss fight walkthrough for more details.
164. Sorceress Sellen OR Witch-Hunter Jerren (Academy)
This boss fight is the culmination of Sorceress Sellen's questline. Once you complete every step as described in our Elden Ring quests guide for Sellen, you can return to the door of the Grand Library where Rennala resides. Outside the door are two summoning signs. One summons Sellen to aid in your fight against Witch-Hunter Jerren; the other summons Jerren to aid in your fight against Sellen.
Neither fight should be very difficult. Sellen likes to stay at range so she can use powerful sorceries against you, but she's easily stunned by melee attacks. Jerren is more of a typical invader, rushing at you with his sword and staff combo. Cut down whichever boss you face to complete the questline.
165. Cleanrot Knight x2 (Abandoned Cave)
A brief jaunt down the sickeningly boggy Abandoned Cave in Dragonbarrow will bring you face to face with a Cleanrot Knight in the final chamber. It's not a very powerful foe - at least, until you knock off health its health, and it's joined by another Cleanrot Knight, this one specialising in ranged glaive attacks. Keep an eye on the ranged Knight while you pummel the melee Knight into submission. Just be careful of its cross-bladed defensive stance. After that, finishing off the ranged Knight should be easy.
166. Battlemage Hugues (Sellia Evergaol)
Battlemage Hugues is a potent spellcaster who fights you inside the Sellia Evergaol in the centre of the Caelid Wilds. Of particular note are his magical hammer attacks, which produce an AoE shockwave which is hard to avoid in melee range; and his magical comet attacks, which are difficult to avoid for the same reason. So stay on the move against this sorcerer, and use strong melee attacks to interrupt his spells.
167. Elder Dragon Greyoll (Outside Fort Faroth)
One of the largest enemies in the entirety of Elden Ring, the Elder Dragon Greyoll is actually incredibly easy to defeat. It mostly just sits there, letting you whale at it. Its main defence is the multitude of dragons surrounding him, and each time you defeat one of these dragons, Greyoll will take damage; but you can also just whale away at Greyoll itself. It has a ridiculous amount of health, but the other dragons can mostly be avoided the whole time by hiding under Greyoll's wing and slashing at it. I'd advise bringing a weapon with bleed, unless you want to be slashing away at it for hours.
168. Godskin Apostle (Divine Tower of Caelid)
A powerful Godskin Apostle can be found at the base of the Divine Tower of Caelid's interior. It is identical to the one you fight at the Dominula Windmill Village in the Altus Plateau - which is to say, it's frighteningly powerful. However, it is susceptible to bleed attacks, which makes the fight easier that it could have been.
169. Bell Bearing Hunter (Isolated Merchant's Shack)
Just as the Bell Bearing Hunter appears at night instead of Bernahl back in Limgrave's Warmaster's Shack, so too does he appear at night instead of the merchant at Caelid's Isolated Merchant's Shack. He's as tough here as he ever was, so take extra care against him. Either get up close and personal (and be good at dodging) or stay at long range. Don't stay at mid-range, or his telekinetic sword attacks will eviscerate you.
170. Putrid Avatar (East Minor Erdtree)
The Putrid Avatar by the East Minor Erdtree of Caelid is near-identical to the rest, with the main difference being its occasional Scarlet Rot-spewing attack which forces you to keep your distance for a time.
171. Beastman Of Farum Azula x2 (Dragonbarrow Cave)
I've heard lots of people have a hard time against the two Beastmen of Farum Azula at the end of Dragonbarrow Cave. It's true that if you let them do their thing, they can be very deadly: one stays at range and bombards you with throwing knives, while the other closes the distance with their powerful melee attacks.
To make this fight easier, you should summon some powerful Spirit Ashes to distract the melee Beastman while you quickly fight and kill the ranged Beastman. Alone, these guys are pushovers.
172. Night's Cavalry (Lenne's Rise Bridge)
The Night's Cavalry located on the bridge by Lenne's Rise at night is probably the strongest Night's Cavalry I've come across. Its long polearm gives it a surprising range, and its high damage and high health make this a battle of patience and consistent, careful timing.
173. Flying Dragon Greyll (Farum Greatbridge)
The main issue with fighting Flying Dragon Greyll is that he is located on a bridge, which restricts your movement somewhat. That can make things difficult when Greyll starts flying around and breathing fire. But you can carefully bring him onto land in order to make the fight more like a regular dragon fight - to which you should be accustomed by now.
174. Black Blade Kindred (Bestial Sanctum)
The Black Blade Kindred guards the main entrance to the Bestial Sanctum on the northeast tip of the Caelid Wilds. This powerful gargoyle switches between two weapons and sets of attacks at will, and so you'll need to spend a fair bit of time learning all its attack patterns before you can cleanly take him out.
175. Gurranq (Bestial Sanctum)
After feeding Gurranq four Deathroots, he will become hostile towards you the next time you visit him. He is an incredibly powerful and aggressive enemy, filled with long attacks that are hard to block or dodge. Fortunately, you need only take a tiny chunk off his health bar before he is pacified once more, so this isn't a true boss fight (though I thought it worth mentioning regardless).
176. Golem (Divine Bridge, via Weeping Peninsula)
This particular Golem of Leyndell can only be reached via the Tower Of Return, on the south coast of the Weeping Peninsula way back in Limgrave. But it's certainly best to tackle it now, because it has Leyndell scaling and will one-shot you if you tackle it early. At this point in the game though, it should be fairly straightforward (as with most Golems).
177. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Leyndell West)
I'm sure you're used to the lovely Ulcerated Tree Spirit's roiling mass lunging itself at you by now. One such Spirit appears as you approach the encampment to the south of the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace just past the southern entrance to Leyndell.
178. Onyx Lord (Sealed Tunnel)
An Onyx Lord can be found at the end of Leyndell's Sealed Tunnel, guarding the entrance to the Divine Tower of West Altus. The Onyx Lord is very, very similar to the Albaster Lord from earlier - it's just a little tankier and harder-hitting. All the same gravity-based attacks and easily avoidable meteor strike spells from before.
179. Valiant Gargoyle (Leyndell Entrance Steps)
As you head up the steps from the Outer Wall Phantom Tree, you'll be accosted by a giant Twinblade Gargoyle, who loves to twirl said twinblade in your face and force you to dodge multiple times in a row. Some strong Spirit Ashes make this fight a lot easier, but with a bit of patience you can easily learn this enemy's moveset regardless.
180. Margit, The Fell Omen (Leyndell West)
Well, well, well! Margit is back, and is aching for a rematch after you bested him at the entrance to Stormveil Castle oh so many hours ago. He has exactly the same moves and patterns as before, but he obviously hits a lot harder and has more health than before, making this a much more challenging phase two of an already dangerous fight.
181. Bell Bearing Hunter (Hermit Merchant's Shack)
Another nasty nighttime encounter with the Bell Bearing Hunter awaits you at the Hermit Merchant's Shack on the outskirts of Leyndell. This is probably the hardest Bell Bearing Hunter fight in the game, simply because the difficulty scaling of Lenydell dials the damage and health of this boss up to 11. Otherwise, it's the same as all the other Bell Bearing Hunter fights.
182. Deathbird (Leyndell North)
Anyone else getting a little tired of Deathbirds? No? Well then, get yourself over to the far north of Leyndell's outskirts, just east of the Hermit Merchant's Shack. If you go there at night, a familiar fight with a Deathbird will be waiting for you.
183. The Loathsome Dung Eater (Leyndell North)
Progress along the questline of the Loathsome Dung Eater, and you'll eventually free him from his jail beneath Leyndell, where he'll promptly challenge you to a fight. This is where you must go to fight him. The main worry here isn't the Dung Eater himself; it's the fact that a giant crab also stalks these waters, so you'd best either distance yourself from it or finish it off quickly before facing the Dung Eater - who isn't much different from any other invader you've faced so far.
If you want more information on this whole questline, be sure to check out our Elden Ring Dung Eater quest walkthrough.
184. Grave Warden Duelist (Auriza Side Tomb)
It's a bit odd, finding a boss as underwhelming as the Grave Warden Duelist in the Capital, of all places. It shouldn't take you long to reach the final section of the Auriza Side Tomb, and when you do you'll find this familiar fight waiting for you. As with before, the key is either weathering or dodging his attacks, and not attacking him yourself until he's properly in recovery mode.
185. Crucible Knight Ordovis & Crucible Knight (Auriza Hero's Grave)
This fight is going to upset some people. Crucible Knights are among the most challenging humanoid bosses you'll encounter at every stage of Elden Ring, and here you're forced to fight two at once.
Ordovis is pretty much a regular sword-and-shield Crucible Knight, but with a spinning holy attack that you should keep your distance from. The other Crucible Knight is a spear-user, so watch out for its long-ranged holy attacks. Use the most powerful Spirit Ashes at your disposal to distract one while you engage the other; then, when your Spirit Ashes are dead, take your time and only strike at one when both are recovering from attacks. It's a tough fight, but you can do it with a bit of patience.
186. Draconic Tree Sentinel (Inner Leyndell Entrance)
In order to breach the inner walls of Leyndell and enter the Capital City itself, you'll need to head to the north of the wall, and face the Draconic Tree Sentinel guarding the entrance at the far side of the region. If you faced the Tree Sentinel in Limgrave, it's very similar, but obviously hits much, much harder than the Limgrave variant ever did. The only other major difference is that the horse can belch flames at a moment's notice, so watch out for whenever the horse rears up for this attack.
Check out our Elden Ring Draconic Tree Sentinel boss fight walkthrough for more details.
187. Crucible Knight (Leyndell Main Road)
Once you're on the main road through Inner Leyndell, head in the opposite direction of the Erdtree Avatar, and you'll find a little courtyard area to the left. Inside the small building adjacent to this courtyard, you'll find a Crucible Knight with its back to you - perfectly primed for a backstab before the fight properly begins.
188. Erdtree Avatar (Leyndell Main Road)
As you walk down the largest road in Leyndell, an Erdtree Avatar will spawn partway along the road. There's not much to say here that hasn't been said earlier. It's a very normal Erdtree Avatar, so just dodge its big attacks and spells, and hack away at it until it is no more.
189. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Lower Capital Church)
An Ulcerated Tree Spirit spawns as you explore the clearing just below the Avenue Balcony. While it doesn't have a boss bar, an Ulcerated Tree Spirit is always worth mentioning. But by this point in the game, it shouldn't be as tough an enemy as it once was.
190. Valiant Gargoyle (West Capital Rampart)
Another Gargoyle can be found and fought on the West Capital Rampart, very near the Site of Grace of the same name. The area here is slightly constricting, so you should be careful of your surroundings as you dodge to avoid its attacks.
191. Lion Guardian (West Capital Rampart)
Another Lion Guardian can be found slumbering next to a large fountain up the various steps from the Avenue Balcony Site Of Grace. This Lion Guardian is accompanied by a Perfumer who will buff and protect it whenever it gets the chance, so the best play is to either lure the Lion away before dealing with it alone, or just rush the Perfumer and kill it quickly.
192. Godfrey, First Elden Lord (Erdtree Sanctuary)
The path to the runebearer Morgott is guarded by the spirit of Godfrey, First Elden Lord. This powerful foe acts a bit like a massive Crucible Knight, with long strings of powerful axe attacks and a foot-stomp attack which can catch you at mid-range unless you're careful. I really must stress here that the key is to remain patient, and only attack once or twice during the scant openings he gives you.
193. Crucible Knight (Below Erdtree Sanctuary)
Here's a very easily missed Crucible Knight miniboss, accessible only via the elevator in the Erdtree Sanctuary. Follow the path down the stairs and you'll find him patrolling an outdoor staircase.
194. Black Knife Assassin (Queen's Bedchamber)
Make your way to the Queen's Bedchamber just past Godfrey, and you'll encounter a little interlude before the big fight: a fairly ordinary Black Knife Assassin. Obviously, you should still be careful here. Black Knife Assassins are always dangerous if you let them expend your stamina and backstab you.
195. Morgott, The Omen King (The Elden Throne)
Morgott, The Omen King is essentially a more powerful version of Margit, The Fell Omen. He's stronger and faster, and mixes up familiar attack patterns with more challenging and unusual timing attacks to try and catch you off-guard. Once you stun him at roughly half-health, back off quickly to avoid his raging flame attack. I found that bringing the Glintblade Phalanx Ashes Of War or anything else that deals high posture damage is a great way to make the fight easier.
Check out our Elden Ring Morgott boss fight walkthrough for more details.
196. Fell Twins x2 (Divine Tower Of East Altus Bridge)
As you make your way along the bridge to the Divine Tower of East Altus, your screen will go dark, and you'll be faced with an unusual arena-less boss fight against two Fell Twins. One Twin is much more aggressive, but that's a good thing, because it distances him from the other, allowing you to defeat them one at a time. But if you need further help separating them, Spirit Ashes should help buy you some time. On their own, the Twins hit hard but can be easily dealt with thanks to clearly telegraphed attacks.
197. Night's Cavalry (Forbidden Lands)
A very short way into the Forbidden Lands at night will take you into the path of yet another Night's Cavalry. Like the one in the Caelid Wilds, this one is a particularly troublesome variant, with a long halberd that boasts a surprising reach.
198. Black Blade Kindred (Grand Lift Of Rold)
A Black Blade Kindred guards the entrance to the Grand Lift Of Rold. This giant gargoyle is identical to the Kindred that you may have encountered outside Gurranq's Bestial Sanctum in Caelid, and its attacks are much the same as any Gargoyle, so you should know what you're getting into here. It hits hard, but an understanding of when to dodge to avoid its attacks makes it fairly straightforward.
199. Ancient Hero Of Zamor (Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave)
An Ancient Hero Of Zamor can be found stalking the final room of the Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave. With the difficulty scaling of this late-game region in play, this Ancient Hero hits very hard, and shouldn't be underestimated.
200. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs)
Everyone's favourite recurring boss, the Ulcerated Tree Spirit, can be found at the end of the Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs. Like the one early on in the Fringefolk Hero's Grave in Limgrave, one of the main difficulties here is understanding the Spirit's movements and attacks in a confined space. But take your time and dodge frequently, and the fight shouldn't take too long.
201. Golem (Mountaintops Walkway)
A Golem Archer can be found at the other end of the narrow walkway near the start of the Mountaintops which leads to the East Minor Erdtree. Kill it, and it won't respawn again.
202. Erdtree Avatar (East Minor Erdtree)
Another Minor Erdtree, another Erdtree Avatar. You should by now be very well-versed in tackling these hefty creatures, so let's just move right onto the next boss.
203. Spirit-Caller Snail (Spiritcaller's Cave)
The Spiritcaller's Cave on the edge of the frozen lake is filled with Spirit-Caller Snails who summon more powerful enemies to hide behind. For the most part dispatching them is easy: just run past everything it summons and hit it a couple times to kill everything nearby.
The exception is the final boss fight of the cave, which tasks you with defeating first a Godskin Apostle and then a Godskin Noble before the perpetrator, the Spirit-Caller Snail, finally reveals itself for an easy victory. Of course, you shouldn't underestimate the challenge of facing the Godskins back-to-back like this, as they're both very challenging foes.
204. Vyke, Knight Of The Roundtable (Lord Contender's Evergaol)
Don't let Vyke's small stature fool you: he's one of the more powerful Evergaol inhabitants in the game. He didn't give me quite as much trouble as Alecto did, but he's a nasty enemy with a long spear that can call down very powerful lightning attacks at short notice. Watch out for his leap attack: he hangs in the air just a touch longer than you'd expect, encouraging you to mistime your dodge.
205. Chief Guardian Arghanthy (Guardians' Garrison)
At the top of the Guardians' Garrison (which you can access by using the various platforms around the back of the fort), you'll find a seemingly ordinary human soldier named Chief Guardian Arghanthy. Arghanthy wields a colossal shield which can absorb a massive amount of damage; and he likes to use quickfire flame attacks from behind the shield, each of which deals a lot of damage. Don't underestimate him.
206. Borealis The Freezing Fog (Frozen Lake)
Borealis The Freezing Fog is one of the more powerful dragons in Elden Ring - as you'd expect from one which hides in the far corner of the world map. At the beginning of the fight there's so much fog that you can barely see the dragon; fortunately this fog soon dissipates, and you can get on with fighting Borealis like you would any other dragon, staying under its legs as much as possible and taking care to avoid its sweep attacks.
207. Death Rite Bird (North Mountaintops)
Another Death Rite Bird can be found just past the bridge connecting the Stargazer Ruins area of land to the Castle Sol area of land. Like the one you encountered in the Caelid Wilds, this Death Rite Bird is most dangerous when it tries to catch you in its large AoE black flame attacks. I'd advise tackling it from atop Torrent.
208. Tibia Mariner (North Mountaintops)
If you passed the aforementioned bridge, you probably noticed several gigantic skeletons emerging from the ground to swipe at you. The source of this necromancy is a squirrelled-away Tibia Mariner who can be found on a little ledge just off the edge of the graveyard. Like all Tibia Mariners, it's very weak once you actually manage to reach it, relying instead on the power of its summons. The good news here is that those giant skeletons can't even reach you when you're on the Tibia Mariner's ledge, so you can kill it with ease once you've found it.
209. Lion Guardian 1 (Castle Sol)
Just beyond the entrance to Castle Sol in the northeast corner of the Mountaintops, you'll come face to face with another Lion Guardian - this time, imbued with powerful frost attacks. Combined with the high level scaling of the region, this Lion Guardian is the most powerful you've faced so far.
210. Lion Guardian 2 (Castle Sol)
Another Lion Guardian can be found inside Castle Sol, a short distance to the right of the previous one. It's quite likely, in fact, that during your fight with the first one, you'll attract the attention of the second. Fighting both at once isn't encouraged, but you can cheese them by standing outside the entrance where they can't quite reach, and battering them with your favourite sorceries or ranged attacks.
211. Commander Niall (Castle Sol)
Commander Niall is the boss that I had the most difficulty beating in the entire game - including the final boss fights. Located at the end of Castle Sol, Commander Niall's first step is always to summon two powerful Banished Knights to chase you down and kill you.
Once you've sorted these two punishing adversaries out (use heavy attacks to interrupt them!), Niall himself starts properly fighting with an array of very powerful whirlwind and lightning attacks which force you to really take your time with him.
Check out our Elden Ring Commander Niall boss fight walkthrough for more details.
212. Bloody Finger Okina (Church Of Repose)
The legendary samurai Bloody Finger Okina invades your world as you approach the Church of Repose. He hits hard with his katana, and inflicts bleed very readily, so you need to keep a close eye on your health bar at all times to make sure you're not in the blood loss instant-death danger zone. His most dangerous attack is the flurry of ranged bloody strikes; getting hit by multiple of these is almost guaranteed to inflict blood loss.
213. Fire Giant (Forge Of The Giants)
The gigantic Fire Giant is the largest boss in the game, and comes equipped with a number of huge AoE attacks, mostly relating in some way to the shield which he loves to slam down into the ground. You should fight the Fire Giant as though it were a dragon, staying under its legs and looking to close distance and keep up the pressure as much as possible.
Once you reach the Fire Giant's second phase, it will begin to conjure fiery orbs which you should try to steer well clear of, lest they explode and incinerate you. No matter how much health you have, any of the Fire Giant's attacks will likely kill you in two hits, so this is definitely a fight to play patiently.
Check out our Elden Ring Fire Giant boss fight walkthrough for more details.
214. Ensha Of The Royal Remains (Roundtable Hold)
After obtaining the first half of the Haligtree Medallion, upon your next visit to the Roundtable Hold you'll immediately be set upon by Ensha (the guy who usually rests against the wall outside Gideon's study). He's a fast and aggressive fighter who also likeAs to use his staff to send out balls of energy towards you, which you should roll through to avoid.
215. Abductor Virgin x2 (Volcano Manor - via Raya Lucaria)
Now, this is an interesting one. The only way you can reach this secret area of Volcano Manor is by heading to the Academy in Liurnia, and intentionally being killed by an Abductor Virgin's grab attack. You can find one such Abductor Virgin by heading to the Schoolhouse Classroom Site of Grace in the Academy, and letting the giant wheel lift nearby take you all the way to the bottom. Make sure you're killed by the abduct attack, rather than any old swipe attack. Do this, and when you wake up you'll find you've been transported to this new area of Volcano Manor.
To escape this area, you'll need to follow the path to its conclusion and face two Abductor Virgins at once: one with wheels, and another with scythes. Use Spirit Ashes to distract the Scythe Virgin while you attack the more aggressive Wheel Virgin. They're particuarly vulnerable when their central cage is open, but you probably only have time for a single attack before you have to roll out the way of its grab attack. And if you do get captured by one, mashing the Light Attack and Block buttons will get you out quicker.
216. Inquisitor Ghiza (Volcano Manor Upper Floor)
Inquisitor Ghiza invades your world as you enter the large dining area on the upper floor of Volcano Manor. Take the stairs next to Lady Tanith to reach it. Ghiza himself wields a unique wheel weapon known as Ghiza's Wheel, which you can obtain after defeating him. He hits hard and inflicts bleed, so be careful when you decide to attack; but like most invaders, he can be very easily interrupted.
217. Magma Wyrm (Subterranean Inquisition Chamber)
For those wondering how to find the Legacy Dungeon part of Volcano Manor, head down the hall from Lady Tanith, take the first door on your right, and slash at the back wall. Explore the dungeon enough and you'll come across a lift that takes you down to another Magma Wyrm fight.
This Wyrm fight is a little harder because your confines are more cramped and magma'd up to begin with, giving you less space to get out of the way of its charge attacks. But otherwise, it's much the same fight as before.
218. Godskin Noble (Temple Of Eiglay)
Oh, good. Another Godskin fight. This ones are always tough. This Godskin Noble can be found in the Temple of Eiglay, and it's near-identical to the Noble you encountered on the bridge to the Divine Tower of Liurnia. It's deceptively quick, with some extremely powerful combo attacks with its rapier that can lead to a quick death. Use bleed attacks and Spirit Ashes.
219. Old Knight Istvan (Volcano Manor Contract)
Old Knight Istvan is the first of the enemies whose worlds you are contracted to invade as part of the Volcano Manor questline at Mount Gelmir. He's a fairly straightforward swordfighter; his only real quirk, besides his love of dodge-rolling, is a gravitational AoE attack which pulls you towards him if you're too slow at getting out of range. Not a terribly difficult fight.
220. Great Horned Tragoth (Ruin-Strewn Precipice)
Great Horned Tragoth is another Volcano Manor contract, so you'll only encounter him quite a bit later on in the game - and only then if you chose to spare Patches back in Murkwater Cave, and then progressed his questline to the point where he gives you a contract in Volcano Manor.
Tragoth makes for a fun opponent, with his crossbow in one hand and a massive hammer in the other, allowing him to switch up his playstyle at a moment's notice.
221. Rileigh The Idle (Bridge Of Iniquity)
After slaying Old Knight Istvan for the Volcano Manor, you'll be charged with hunting down Rileigh The Idle in the Altus Plateau. His summon sign can be found just a short distance south of the Bridge of Iniquity, in the ravine. Rileigh is a crossbowman who also wields a dagger for quick combo attacks. He has low health, but don't underestimate his agility.
222. Vargram & Wilhelm (Fortified Manor)
If you speak enough to Knight Bernahl at the Volcano Manor while you're off completing contracts for Lady Tanith, then he'll give you a contract of his own: to aid him in invading the world of Vargram the Raging Wolf, and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm. This 2v2 fight is an interesting one, although it's not terribly difficult. You can safely leavae Bernahl to fight Vargram for a while as you take on Wilhelm, who doesn't stand much of a chance against you at close range.
223. Juno Hoslow (Shack Of The Lofty)
Juno Hoslow, Knight of Blood is the final of the three Volcano Manor contract killings that are assigned to you before you are invited to face Lord Rykard. Juno can be found just outside the Shack Of The Lofty, and he uses dual whips that can activate very quickly and make it quite hard for you to stay within his melee range.
However, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, all humanoid, human-sized NPCs in Elden Ring can be interrupted quite easily with heavy attacks, so use this to your advantage to get up close and personal, and deal a load of damage before retreating out of range.
224. Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy (Volcano Manor)
The major boss fight of Mt. Gelmir, there are two ways of reaching Lord Rykard beneath Volcano Manor. Hayden explains both very well in his Elden Ring walkthrough.
The first stage of this fight is against the God-Devouring Serpent, which, although terrifying, is not as bad as the crazy second phase against Rykard himself. Expect to dodge an awful lot of attacks against him in this fight of attrition. Fortunately you have the perfect weapon to defeat this boss handed to you on your way. Make sure you use its skill to take large chunks of health off the boss with every opening it gives you.
Check out our Elden Ring Rykard boss fight walkthrough for more details.
225. Tanith's Knight (Volcano Manor)
A final extra miniboss can be fought after you've defeated Lord Rykard. Speak to Lady Tanith one last time in the Manor, and she'll tell you this is goodbye. However, if you reload the area and head back to where you fought Rykard, you'll see her slowly and horribly trying to eat his massive corpse in order to rebirth him. Slay Tanith after speaking to her, and shortly afterwards you'll be invaded by Tanith's Knight.
Tanith's Knight is effectively an infernal Crucible Knight. As you should know by now, these warriors are extremely tough, so you should exercise care against him, and not get greedy with your attacks.
226. Stray Mimic Tear (Hidden Path to The Haligtree)
This Stray Mimic Tear optional boss encounter is fairly well-hidden as Elden Ring bosses go. In the Hidden Path To The Haligtree, head up the initial stairs and then jump off the left-hand side where the guard rails are broken. You'll land on an invisible platform which you can follow west. There you'll find a lever guarded by a Land Octopus, which opens a heavy door opposite that leads you to the Stray Mimic Tear boss.
227. Putrid Grave Warden Duelist (Consecrated Snowfield Catacombs)
Funny how putting the word "Putrid" ahead of a name instantly makes its owner that much more terrifying. The Putrid Grave Warden Duelist which you'll find at the end of the Consecrated Snowfield Catacombs inflicts Scarlet Rot with its attacks, so you should look to increase your immunity stat as much as possible if you're having trouble with this fight, and use a spell which clears Rot buildup whenever necessary. Otherwise, it's much the same as the other Grave Warden Duelists you've already fought.
228. Red Wolf
The most powerful Red Wolf in Elden Ring isn't the Red Wolf Of Radagon in the Raya Lucaria Academy - thanks to the Consecrated Snowfield's late-game enemy scaling, it's this unassuming Red Wolf found atop the cliff on the far east side of the Snowfield, just south of the river. It's surrounded by regular wolves, so take them out first.
229. Night's Cavalry x2 (Snowfields Wagon)
Not one but two Night's Cavalry guard the wagon patrolling the lower section of the Consecrated Snowfields at night. Much like the Tree Sentinel duo guarding the entrance to Leyndell, you'll have to be very careful to keep an eye on both riders simultaneously to make sure one doesn't sneak up on you while you're fighting the other. Try to use the terrain to separate them as much as possible, and pick them off one by one.
230. Astel, Stars Of Darkness (Yelough Anix Tunnel)
Astel, Stars Of Darkness is an even more powerful version of the already dangerous Astel, Naturalborn of the Void that you can find at the end of the Lake Of Rot beneath Liurnia. Like the first, this Astel loves to use very powerful and multi-phase AoE attacks, but you have to try to stick close to it regardless. An i-frame skill such as Bloodhound's Step is invaluable for avoiding damage here.
Watch out for Astel's one-shot move, where it disappears, then reappears as several Astels above you, all reaching out to grab you. If you're caught, you're dead, plain and simple. I didn't take any chances here, firing off Bloodhound's Step whenever I saw this attack approaching. I suggest you do the same or something similar.
231. Sanguine Noble (Consecrated Snowfield)
Remember the Sanguine Noble from the Writheblood Ruins in the Altus Plateau? Well, here he is again, but this time he's an invader who attack you as you pass just beyond the Runebear and into the ruins on the far west side of the Mountaintops region. As before, the main issue here is the Noble's proclivity for bleed attacks, and creating pools of blood on the ground which you'll need to sidestep before getting close to him.
232. Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater (Consecrated Snowfield)
Your final meeting with the lovely Anastasia takes place on the edge of the river running through the Consecrated Snowfield. She is of course the most powerful she's ever been here, but otherwise she is identical to her previous encounters, with all the same simple but powerful attack patterns.
233. Great Wyrm Theodorix (Consecrated Snowfield)
The greatest of all the Magma Wyrms, Great Wyrm Theodorix can be found right outside the Cave Of The Forlorn on the Consecrated Snowfield river. Like all Magma Wyrms, it hits very hard, and makes closing distance rather difficult thanks to its lava attacks and charges. But otherwise, it's really not as awe-inspiring as its name suggests. It's basically just another Wyrm.
234. Misbegotten Crusader (Cave Of The Forlorn)
The Misbegotten Crusader is Leonine Misbegotten from all the way back in Castle Morne, but ramped up to 11. This guy hits very hard, and his relentless attacks mean it's pretty hard to avoid being bodied by this boss pretty quickly. Fortunately, he has some weaknesses. Bleed attacks work great at whittling his health down faster, and if you spend some time upgrading your chosen Spirit Ashes, you can effectively stun-lock the Crusader for quite some time, making this fight far easier.
235. Putrid Avatar (West Minor Erdtree)
Putrid Avatars are the worst of the Avatars, and unfortunately there is still one left to defeat. You can find it at the foot of the Minor Erdtree in the Consecrated Snowfield. It's obviously a powerful creature, and avoiding its Scarlet Rot and magic attacks is made more difficult by the slightly cramped arena. Expect to do lots of running against this boss.
236. Death Rite Bird (Consecrated Snowfield)
Another Death Rite Bird can be found at night at the point where the frozen river meets the very top edge of the mountains. It spawns as you approach the clearing at the bottom. Again, prepare for a tough fight here. Bring a holy weapon; stay on horseback; and keep Torrent the hell away from those black flames, because they'll destroy him and you in no time at all.
237. Black Knife Assassin (Ordina)
Now here's an interesting one: an entirely invisible Black Knife Assassin stalks the streets of Ordina in the Ordina Evergaol puzzle. The idea isn't really to defeat this boss. He's there simply as a sort of environmental obstacle which forces you to jump across rooftops to light the different fires across the town.
But with a Sentry's Torch in hand, the Assassin becomes visible, and defeatable. You can get a Sentry's Torch by purchasing it from the merchant at the Hermit Merchant's Shack within Leyndell's outskirts.
238. Esgar, Priest Of Blood (Leyndell Catacombs)
Esgar, Priest Of Blood can be found at the end of the rather confusingly cyclical Leyndell Catacombs. Accompanied by two Rot-infused dogs, Esgar is a fast and aggressive combatant equipped with Reduvia, the same powerful bleed-inflicting blade used by Nerijus back in Limgrave. He can also send out Rot-inflicting swarms which chase you across the small arena, forcing you to stay on the move in order to avoid damage.
239. Mohg, The Omen (Cathedral Of The Forsaken)
Mohg, The Omen is a powerful boss who you'll find at the very end of the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, the vast underground network that rests beneath Leyndell. Mohg himself is a lesser version of the secret Runebearer Mohg, Lord Of Blood, who you'll find at Mohgwyn Palace.
Mohg, The Omen wields a giant trident and calls down sprays of bleed-inflicting fire which makes this a hard fight for melee Spirit Ashes to help you out with. Mohg hits hard and fast, and has a startling range. Be sure to pick up Mohg's Shackle from earlier in the dungeon, and use it to lock him down twice during his first phase.
240. Nameless White Mask #1 (Mohgwyn Palace)
At three parts of the lake below Mohgwyn Palace, you'll be invaded by so-called Nameless White Masks. These nimble invaders are fairly strong as invaders go in Elden Ring, and are capable of quickly delivering bleed attacks before dodging away. The main difficulty with these fights tends to be that they lead you to areas where massive bird enemies will attack you simultaneously, so be careful of your surroundings when fighting the Nameless White Masks.
The first of these Nameless White Masks that you'll come across is near the western edge of the lake, as the pathway gets narrow heading from north to south.
241. Nameless White Mask #2 (Mohgwyn Palace)
The second Nameless White Mask is located a very short distance from the first, atop a ledge amid various other unsavoury blood-affinity enemies (dogs and crows).
242. Nameless White Mask #3 (Mohgwyn Palace)
The third and final Nameless White Mask is found at the far southern edge of the lake outside Mohgwyn Palace.
243. White-Faced Varre (Mohgwyn Palace)
White-Faced Varre is the first NPC character you encounter in Elden Ring, standing next to the First Step Site of Grace in Limgrave. Progress his surprisingly insidious questline to its culmination, and you'll be brought to Mohgwyn Palace, where you can summon and fight Varre himself next to the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint Site of Grace.
Varre is not a terribly challenging opponent. He wields a strange blunt-damage-inflicting bouquet of flowers, with a short range that you can easily back away from. Watch out for his quickfire flame attacks and you should find this fight surprisingly straightforward considering your late-game surroundings.
244. Mohg, Lord Of Blood (Mohgwyn Palace)
Mohg, Lord Of Blood is one of the most dangerous enemies you'll encounter in the base game of Elden Ring. This secret runebearer resides within Mohgwyn Palace, and is a stronger version of Mohg The Omen, who you can fight in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds beneath Leyndell.
The Lord Of Blood's most dangerous attack is his blood curse chant, but fortunately you can use your Flask Of Wondrous Physick and the Purifying Crystal Tear (earned by defeating Eleonora) to defend yourself against it. It's also worth noting that you can find Mohg's Shackle in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds, and this item works exactly like Margit's Shackle does, locking down Mohg for a few seconds a maximum of two times during his first phase.
245. Loretta, Knight Of The Haligtree (Haligtree)
Completing the Ordina puzzle allows you access to the Haligtree, one of the most difficult and dangerous regions in Elden Ring. But to enter Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree, you first have to get past Loretta, Knight Of The Haligtree. Fortunately, this Loretta is near-enough identical to the Loretta you faced in Caria Manor back in Liurnia. Obviously this one is much stronger and hits much harder, but the moves are entirely identical.
246. Putrid Avatar (Elphael)
A Putrid Avatar can be found wandering the far edge of the circle which makes up Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. You can reach it by walking a short distance from the Prayer Room Site of Grace, and jumping over to one of the large pillars between the inner and outer platforms.
The challenge of this particular fight is that the platform restricts movement to the sides, which makes it hard to avoid the Avatar's attack which sends lots of holy light attacks towards you. But apart from this one attack, this fight is fairly straightforward.
247. Putrid Avatar (Elphael)
Another Putrid Avatar can be found right outside the Elphael Inner Wall Site of Grace, flanked by lots of soldiers and ballistae. To give yourself an easier time against this boss, I'd suggest running straight past them all, resting at the Site of Grace, and then doubling back and luring the Putrid Avatar into a one-on-one fight.
248. Putrid Tree Spirit (Elphael)
There's an extra area of the Haligtree that you can reach by climbing one of the large roots near the Elphael Inner Wall Site of Grace. Follow this path to its end and you'll find a lake of Scarlet Rot, inside which a Putrid Tree Spirit resides.
249. Millicent OR Millicent's Sisters (Haligtree)
In exactly the same spot as the previously mentioned Putrid Tree Spirit, you can accompany Millicent in her fight against her three sisters if you have progressed to near the end of Millicent's questline. Millicent's Sisters are all fairly powerful invaders, and the main danger is that if Millicent dies, you lose the fight. It can be quite hard to protect Millicent unless you take the attention of at least two sisters at once.
250. Malenia, Blade Of Miquella (Haligtree)
Many people say that Malenia, Blade Of Miquella is the toughest boss that From Software have ever created. I think she makes for one of the most enjoyable and awe-inspiring fights, with her powerful lifesteal attacks and, later on, her massive AoE blasts of Scarlet Rot. Unfortunately, I beat her first-time with the help of a fully-upgraded Mimic Tear Spirit Ash, which means I didn't get to experience very much of this fight at all.
So if you're looking for an easy win, I'd suggest using the Mimic Tear like I did, to help tank blows and stun-lock Malenia for easy damage. But if you want the more rewarding route, there's really nothing I can say beyond: learn her attack patterns well, and prepare for an extended but excellent fight.
Check out our Elden Ring Malenia boss fight walkthrough for more details.
251. Ancient Dragon 1 (Farum Azula)
Welcome to the first of several Ancient Dragon fights you'll encounter during your circular journey around Crumbling Farum Azula. It's a lightning dragon, much like Lansseax and Fortissax from the Altus Plateau and Deeproot Depths respectively, so stay under its legs as much as possible to avoid its dangerous lightning attacks.
252. Wormface (Farum Azula)
Another Colossal Wormface can be found in the lake below the Crumbling Beast Grave Depths. It's a tricky customer, as you cannot use Torrent in this area, and it is flanked by two of its smaller brethren. It's very easy to get Death-Blighted by this trio, so keep your distance and stay patient.
253. Ancient Dragon 2 (Farum Azula)
Ancient Dragon #2 can be found by taking the lift down from the Crumbling Beast Grave Depths, and going the opposite way from the Wormface, jumping across the gaps between floating rocks until you reach a platform that looks suspiciously like an arena. Prepare for another fight with a lightning dragon before you head to the arena's centre.
254. Ancient Dragon 3 (Farum Azula)
Ancient Dragon #3 harrasses you as you head north towards the Dragon Temple, but it can only actually be reached later on, once you reach the Dragon Temple itself.
255. Alexander, Warrior Jar (Farum Azula)
Your good companion Alexander has a questline which you can follow through multiple areas of the game. At its end, he will appear in the same spot as Ancient Dragon #3. He will challenge you to a duel here. He's much stronger than other pots you've encountered, and you should be particularly careful of his large and impressive AoE attacks. But it shouldn't take much to bring him down, after which you can speak to him one last time for a good-natured chat before he falls apart.
256. Ancient Dragon 4 (Farum Azula)
Ancient Dragon #4 can be found asleep just next to the Dragon Temple. It's on your left as you make your way towards the previous dragon on this list. The fact that it's asleep means you can get a nice series of attacks on it to initiate the fight, making this fight easier than most.
257. Godskin Duo (Dragon Temple Altar)
The Godskin Duo are a very nasty pair. One the one hand you have the Godskin Noble, the chunky one who loves to stab with its rapier. On the other you have the Goskin Apostle, the tall, serpentine sickle-wielder. Both have a penchant for black flame attacks, and both are susceptible to bleed attacks, which is pretty much their only weakness. Prepare for a tough fight here.
Check out our Elden Ring Godskin Duo boss fight walkthrough for more details.
258. Crucible Knight 1 (Dragon Temple)
At the bottom of the Dragon Temple, you'll find a large petrified Ancient Dragon corpse on the edge of Farum Azula. Next to it is a Crucible Knight - probably the toughest in Elden Ring, given Crumbling Farum Azula's level scaling.
259. Recusant Bernahl (Dragon Temple Rooftop)
After the tough fight against the Godskin Duo, the invasion from Recusant Bernahl at the Dragon Temple Rooftop is a breath of fresh air. He'll only invade you if you completed all four Volcano Manor contracts (including Bernahl's own), and then killed Rykard, before reaching Crumbling Farum Azula.
Bernahl wields a massive mace, and predictably it hurts a lot if you're hit by it. But Bernahl himself is, like all invaders, susceptible to heaavy attacks, which interrupt him easily.
260. Ancient Dragon 5 (Dragon Temple)
The last (regular) Ancient Dragon you'll encounter in Crumbling Farum Azula likes to throw lightning at you from miles away, so you'll need to time your run up towards it. Thankfully, this dragon is more of an environmental hazard than a true enemy, because once you navigate this path and reach it, you'll find that its health bar is nearly empty already, so a couple of hits should finish it off.
261. Crucible Knight 2 (Dragon Temple)
Another Crucible Knight can be found by jumping off the east side of the cliff where you fought the last Ancient Dragon. Below you'll see a series of rocky platforms you can jump down until you reach the building at the bottom. Follow the path past the regular enemies and up the elevator, and you'll find the Crucible Knight engaged in combat with (read: slaughtering) a bunch of Beastmen.
262. Dragonlord Placidusax (Dragon Temple)
The two-headed Dragonlord Placidusax is the mightest of all the dragons in Elden Ring. This hidden boss can be reached by heading down the lift connected to the Great Bridge. Head outside the front door of this building, and then look over the edge to find a lower platform to drop down onto. Follow the path to the bottom, and you'll find several open sarcophagi-esque burial areas with bones inside. Lie down in the central one which doesn't have any bones inside, and you'll be transported to the arena where you'll face Dragonlord Placidusax.
Placidusax tries to combat the usual anti-dragon tactic of staying under its legs, by having one of its dragon heads regularly breathe very damaging fire under itself. I'd suggest increasing your protection against fire as much as possible, and preparing for a fairly tough fight against this legendary boss.
Check out our Elden Ring Dragonlord Placidusax boss fight walkthrough for more details.
263. Draconic Tree Sentinel (Dragon Temple)
Behold, the greatest Tree Sentinel of them all. This dangerous Draconic Tree Sentinel guards the entrance to the major boss area of the Dragon Temple. There's no Torrent to help you steer clear of the Tree Sentinel's far-reaching attacks, so you'll need to get very good at reading its attack patterns and dodging at the correct moments - particularly when it starts calling lightning down from the sky upon you.
264. Beast Clergyman / Maliketh, The Black Blade (Dragon Temple)
Just beyond the Draconic Tree Sentinel you must properly fight Gurranq, the Beast Clergyman. He's a tough old fella, with lots of quick and powerful dagger combos which activate even as he steps backwards, making it difficult to get up close and personal with him. At half-health, he reveals his true identity: Maliketh, The Black Blade.
Maliketh is even nastier than the Beast Clergyman, with plenty of far-reaching magical attacks that leech your health away even if you block them. Fortunately, neither Gurranq nor Maliketh actually have that much health considering they're an endgame boss.
Check out our Elden Ring Maliketh boss fight walkthrough for more details.
265. Putrid Tree Spirit x3 (Capital Of Ash)
Once Leyndell has become the Ashen Capital, if you approach the city starting from the Forbidden Lands Site of Grace to the east, and follow that path to its end, you'll find a sandy area which was once filled with water. Here, a Putrid Tree Spirit stalks the area, guarding the powerful Erdtree's Favour +2 talisman. But hidden in the sand are two more Putrid Tree Spirits, making this fight far more challenging that it might first appear.
These Tree Spirits hit very hard, and it can be difficult to keep multiple in sight at once. Fortunately, the silver lining is that they can damage each other as well, and it's fairly easy to make them do so, given their erratic movements which often lead them into each other's paths.
266. Sir Gideon Ofnir, The All-Knowing (Erdtree Sanctuary)
After defeating Maliketh, you're transported to Leyndell, now the Capital of Ash. Upon reaching the Erdtree Sanctuary (where you previously fought the spirit of Godfrey), you'll come face to face with Sir Gideon once more - this time as an enemy intent on stopping you from becoming Elden Lord.
Thankfully, Gideon is an absolute pushover compared to the other endgame Elden Ring bosses. What sets him apart from other Tarnished enemies is his range of powerful sorceries, which you'll have to time your dodges well to avoid. He can be easily interrupted, and you can pile on the pressure with ease against him once you're in melee range.
267. Godfrey, First Elden Lord / Hoarah Loux, Warrior (Elden Throne)
One of my favourite fights in Elden Ring is also against one of the very strongest adversaries you'll ever face: Godfrey, First Elden Lord. He's like an evolved Godrick from Stormveil Castle, with foot-slam attacks and a massive axe that he uses in savage combos with strange timings designed to catch you off-guard. Once he starts doing shockwave attacks, you should either dodge through or jump over them.
At 40% health, Godfrey will reveal his true identity: Hoarah Loux, Chieftain of the Badlands. Ditching his axe, he instead opts for hand-to-hand combat, unleashing some absolutely devastating grab attacks which make it very scary for a melee player to stay up close to him. You'll have to get very good at dodging to prevail against this incredibly powerful foe.
Check out our Elden Ring Godfrey boss fight walkthrough for more details.
268. Radagon Of The Golden Order / Elden Beast (Fractured Marika)
Past the unbreachable thorns of the Erdtree you'll face the final boss of Elden Ring: the incredibly powerful Radagon, of the Golden Order. This lengthy fight will involve an awful lot of dodging, as Radagon loves to use very large AoE holy attacks which keep you from getting close. This means increasing your holy damage negation is a very good idea for this fight. Particularly useful is the Haligtree +2 Talisman you can find in one of the graveyards outside Mohgwyn Palace.
Deal enough damage to Radagon and he will collapse, prompting the appearance of the colossal and frightening Elden Beast. Personally, compared to Radagon, I found the Elden Beast much easier once you understand what it's doing. Dodge its large sword-swings, and get out of the way of the large magical circles which appear around you when it floats into the air. Beyond that, this section of the fight is surprisingly simple: the hard part is defeating the mighty Radagon in order to reach it.
Check out our Radagon boss fight walkthrough and our Elden Beast boss fight walkthrough for more details.
Shadow Of The Erdtree (DLC) boss locations
1. Logur The Beast Claw (South Woods)
Logur The Beast Claw is a good first boss to beat in Shadow Of The Erdtree. He can be found skulking about the forest in the south of the Gravesite Plain (just let him come to you once you're in there). He's not too tricky, as long as you're not overwhelmed by the new Beast Claw weapon's strange leaping combo attacks. He wears no armour, so takes a truckload of damage.
2. Blackgaol Knight (Western Nameless Mausoleum)
The Blackgaol Knight is actually quite a tough enemy by the standards of the Gravesite Plain, so you may wish to return once you've picked up a few Scadutree Fragments. Found inside the Western Nameless Mausoleum, this Knight switches from a massive Greatsword to a Repeating Crossbow to try and give you no time to heal. Fortunately, the Crossbow has a bit of a windup, and all his massive Greatsword swings are well telegraphed. Just don't expect to stagger him easily, as he has pretty high poise.
3. Furnace Golem (South Of Three-Path Cross)
Furnace Golems are a test of patience, in most cases. They're practically invulnerable to damage; ranged users need to shoot their face plate, while melee players need to make it stagger three times in a row for it to fall over, after which you can strike the face plate for massive damage. Read more in our guide on how to beat Furnace Golems. But the upshot is: I would probably leave this Furnace Golem until slightly later on, when you're a bit more powerful.
4. Ghostflame Dragon (Lake Outside Belurat)
The Ghostflame Dragon lies asleep in the lake next to Belurat, guarding the Great Katana on the ground beside it. It will awaken when you draw near, but don't fret; it's pretty much the same as the many other dragons you've no doubt beaten to reach the Land Of Shadow in the first place. Stay on horseback and slash patiently at its legs until it dies.
5. Demi-Human Swordmaster Onze (Belurat Gaol)
Demi-Human Swordmaster Onze can be found at the end of the Belurat Gaol dungeon. He's a bit of a glass cannon; like all Demi-Humans, he has low poise and can be interrupted very easily, so stay aggressive and he should go down easy. If you give him space, though, he'll control the tempo with his teleporting combo attacks.
6. Ancient Dragon-Man (Pillar Path)
As you approach the Dragon's Pit in the Gravesite Plain, depending on the path you choose you'll be invaded by an Ancient Dragon-Man wielding a big ol' Great Katana. He hits decently hard if you let him, but otherwise this is a straightforward fight, not much to say except keep attacking and don't let him hit you.
7. Magma Wyrm (Dragon's Pit)
It may not be the actual boss of the Dragon's Pit, but the Magma Wyrm tucked away in a corner of this dungeon is still worth fighting and beating for the Dragon Heart and Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone it drops. It's the same as any other Magma Wyrm in Elden Ring - which is to say, very annoyingly capable of turning any environment into a pool of lava - but you shouldn't have too much trouble with it.
8. Ancient Dragon-Man (Pillar Path)
The true Ancient Dragon-Man is found at the end of the Dragon's Pit dungeon, and is a required boss for reaching certain areas of the Land Of Shadow, such as the Jagged Peak and Charo's Hidden Grave. The Ancient Dragon-Man's unique Great Katana has a powerful ranged attack similar to Moonveil, so make sure you're ready to dodge when it appears. The other thing to watch out for is his Dragon Communion ability, which summons a dragon's head to, well, eat you. Again, not too hard to avoid.
9. Death Knight (Fog Rift Catacombs)
The Death Knights were once the most powerful of Godwyn The Golden's lot, and they defend him even in his new undead form as the Prince Of Death. You can find this Death Knight at the end of the Fog Rift Catacombs, unleashing all sorts of lightning attacks and basically acting like a tougher, faster Crucible Knight. Thankfully, it doesn't take much to break his poise, so keep up the pressure and he'll crack.
10. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Ellac River)
Another Ulcerated Tree Spirit can be found down in Ellac River which separates the top and bottom halves of the Gravesite Plain. It's no different to any other Tree Spirit fight, although there's a chance you'll be attacked by a few rats while you fight it, depending on where the Tree Spirit draws you.
11. Chief Bloodfiend (Rivermouth Cave)
The Rivermouth Cave in Ellac River is home to a Chief Bloodfiend, which is quite a bit bigger and tougher than your average garden variety Bloodfiend (which is already quite big and tough). Watch out for its sudden leap attacks, which seek to close distance when you least expect it. Otherwise, I'd treat this as a Runebear fight. Prepare for constant aggression and hard-hitting attacks, circle around when you can and strike the Chief from behind to whittle down its health.
12. Furnace Golem (Ellac River Downstream)
This second Furnace Golem can be found in Ellac River, in the large clearing just before the Cerulean Coast Site Of Grace. It's a carbon copy of the first, so just whale away at its feet until it falls over and hit the face plate for colossal damage.
13. Moore (Any Forager Brood Location)
Moore can potentially be fought at any of the locations of the Forager Brood (the non-violent Kindred Of Rot who give you Forager Brood Cookbooks upon interacting with them). If you kill two members of the Forager Brood, then Moore will invade you where you stand, and attempt to kill you using his giant Verdigris Greatshield and his Hefty Rot Pots.
14. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Poison Lake)
Remember the Ulcerated Tree Spirit from base Elden Ring? Everyone's favourite camera-destroyer? Well, it's back. You can find it (among other places) in the swamp area of the Belurat legacy dungeon, and it's exactly as you remember it, only this time you need to kill it while standing in a poison swamp. Sounds hideous, but really it's not that big a deal. At this point, killing Tree Spirits should be second-nature.
15. Fire Knight Queelign (East Garden)
The irritating Fire Knight Queelign is an enemy you'll see a couple of times in this list, because he invades you in two separate locations. This one is located in the garden of Belurat, just beyond the Small Private Altar Site Of Grace. His Heavy Thrusting Sword is surprisingly quick, which may take you off-guard once or twice; but otherwise he's a real pushover, as with most NPC invader enemies.
16. Divine Beast Dancing Lion (Theatre Of The Divine Beast)
Ah, your first DLC Remembrance boss. The Divine Beast Dancing Lion is a fantastic boss fight, but a pretty challenging one thanks to its unusual movements and ghastly number of different attacks. This boss is constantly moving, which doesn't necessarily mean it's constantly attacking. Learn when it's safe to attack and heal, and the fight goes much easier.
The Divine Beast's second stage really tests your dodging skills, as it unleashes cascades of elemental attacks, switching between fire, lightning, cold, and smoke to catch you off-guard. Try not to get flustered; they're basically the same attacks and the same timings, just in different clothing.
17. Demi-Human Queen Marigga (Cerulean Coast West)
Demi-Human Queen Marigga likes to sit around in the northwest corner of the Cerulean Coast, surrounded by adoring Demi-Humans. It's a very easy fight, as long as you stay up close and personal with Marigga and keep abusing her low poise. If you're struggling not to be overwhelmed by numbers during this fight, just stay on Torrent while you fight, and you should be past this boss in no time.
18. Ghostflame Dragon (Cerulean Coast Central Lake)
This conniving Ghostflame Dragon will fly down towards you as you approach the edge of the lake in eastern Cerulean Coast, in a manner very reminiscent of Agheel way back in Limgrave. This Ghostflame Dragon I'd say is a tad harder than the others, because it conjures skeletons to pester you while you fight it. Thankfully, it has a habit of killing its own allies with its area-of-effect ghostflame attacks.
19. Dancer Of Ranah (Southern Nameless Mausoleum)
The exquisitely-dressed Dancer Of Ranah inside the Southern Nameless Mausoleum can be reached using the cave on the shore right next to the island where the Mausoleum can be found. The Dancer herself has an interesting set of attacks which consist of very long chains of fluid strikes. Fortunately, she can be broken out of her flow with an easy jump-attack, which makes what could have been a tricky fight much easier.
20. Troll Knight (Ensis Entrance)
The first foe you'll encounter in Castle Ensis is a Carian Troll Knight, and while technically not a boss, it is a non-respawnable enemy which is more than capable of schooling unprepared Elden Ringers. Watch out for its area-of-effect attack when it plunges its sword into the ground. It's tougher to avoid than it looks.
21. Moonrithyll, Carian Knight (Castle Midpoint)
Moonrithyll, Carian Knight is waiting partway through Castle Ensis with his Glintblade Phalanxes and his big ol' Greatsword. Aside from his Phalanx Sorceries, he's a very straightforward and easy to defeat NPC miniboss; you should breeze right past him. I would advise making sure the teleporting nobles just before him are already dealt with, however.
22. Rellana, Twin Moon Knight (Ensis Moongazing Grounds)
Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, is the main boss of Castle Ensis, and a Remembrance holder - the equivalent of a Shardbearer in base Elden Ring. She provides quite the challenge with her hard-to-read attack animations, long reach, and powerful combos. Not to mention, in her second phase she ignites her swords - one magic, one fire - and starts casting hefty ranged attacks while also closing the distance and attacking in melee range.
My advice would be to roll into and around her rather than away in most cases, and to prepare to jump three times in quick succession when Rellana does her unique double moon attack. Otherwise, it's pretty much game over immediately.
23. Troll Knight Apparition (Behind Castle Ensis)
Once you reach Scadu Altus you can circle round behind Castle Ensis and find a Troll Knight Apparition in a small lake, guarding an Imbued Sword Key portal. It's functionally identical to the Troll Knight you find at the beginning of Castle Ensis, so you should know what to do here.
24. Black Knight Garrew (Fog Rift Fort)
The rather disturbing Black Knight Garrew heads up the Fog Rift Fort just south of the Scadu Altus West Grace. I say "disturbing", because while Garrew is identical to any old hammer-wielding Black Knight in every other way, he also has a bizarre attack where he conjures a big toad-like maw to send a long tongue at you to try and reel you in. It's... it's very weird.
25. Fire Knight Queelign (Church Of The Crusade)
Queelign's second invasion occurs in the Church Of The Crusade on the western edge of Scadu Altus, just beyond Castle Ensis. He's pretty much exactly the same here as he was in Belurat. The only reason this fight might be difficult is if you don't respect the speed and range of that Heavy Thrusting Sword category.
Kill Queelign in both locations (it doesn't matter which one first), and he'll also drop the Prayer Room Key, which you can use to finish his minor questline later on in Shadow Keep - and potentially get his Heavy Thrusting Sword for yourself!
26. Furnace Golem (Highroad Encampment)
Oh look, it's another Furnace Golem. Yes, they're used quite a lot in Shadow Of The Erdtree. Really you should be thankful! At least they're not too tricky to beat once you know how, and they give you a new Tear for your Flask Of Wondrous Physick each time! This one is found in the middle of a Messmer Soldier camp, but I wouldn't worry. Just bait the Furnace Golem into unleashing a few area-of-effect attacks and the Soldiers will die very quickly.
27. Black Knight (Hill Overlooking Church Of The Crusade)
Turn left when you're just past the main encampment on the Scadu Altus highroad, and you'll see another section of camp, with a Twinblade-wielding Black Knight at the top. I find the Twinblade Black Knights a bit harder than the Hammer-wielding ones, because although they don't hit as hard, they're faster and harder to dodge. What's nice though is that if you kill this one, you get its Black Steel Twinblade for yourself.
28. Ralva The Great Red Bear (Lake East Of Highroad)
If you hated the Runebears from base Elden Ring, I've got some bad news for you. They're back, in a hot red variety. Ralva The Great Red Bear can be found in the middle of a foresty lake in Scadu Altus, and he's just as aggressive as any Runebear you may have fought before. He doesn't really have any neat tricks up his sleeve, just biting and slashing and roaring as per usual. Not easy, but not exceptionally tough by DLC standards, either.
29. Dryleaf Dane (Moorth Ruins)
If you want to make use of the new Hand-To-Hand combat style in Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree, Dryleaf Dane in the Moorth Ruins is the man to talk to. Or rather, bow to. Perform the "May The Best Win" Gesture in front of him and he'll fight you one-on-one. He's very aggressive, and his Dryleaf Arts hit decently hard, but honestly, as with most NPC fights in Elden Ring, there's not much you need fear here.
30. Ghostflame Dragon (Moorth Highway South)
Now this is quite a spectacle. Head down the road from the Moorth Ruins and you'll soon see a Ghostflame Dragon fighting an entire camp of Messmer Soldiers and Messmer Knights. Those Knights are no joke, particularly in numbers, so I would wait on the periphery for a while and enjoy the show before going in for the dragon kill once things have calmed down a bit.
31. Black Knight Edredd (Fort Of Reprimand)
The Twinblade-wielding Black Knight Edredd can be found near the top of the Fort Of Reprimand, on the southern border of Scadu Altus. He's exactly the same as any other Twinblade Black Knight you may have encountered; high poise, hits hard, not the easiest to dodge, but doesn't have anything particularly dangerous to offer either. I made use of the Wing Stance Skill on Milady to close the distance quickly, to great effect.
32. Greater Potentate (Bonny Village)
Bonny Village is home to a great many Shadow Undead, and a couple of nearly-nude Greater Potentates armed with massive iron cleavers. They may look intimidating, but - much like Logur The Beast Claw back in the Gravesite Plain - their lack of armour makes them go down very easily. They attempt to tip the scales in their favour by casting an Incantation which gives them health upon landing attacks, but it's not enough to counter an aggressive playstyle.
33. Greater Potentate (Bonny Village)
Across the first bridge in Bonny Village, you'll find another Greater Potentate, a carbon copy of the first. Again, just keep slashing away and avoiding its big, telegraphed attacks, and you'll have no trouble here. Bonny Village just doesn't have much to offer in the way of a challenge for a Tarnished as mighty as you.
34. Curseblade Labirith (Bonny Gaol)
Curseblade Labirith is found at the end of Bonny Gaol - or is he? Curseblades are always dangerous, but this one spends a good portion of the fight invisible, much like the Black Knife Assassins of base Elden Ring. Use the Sentry's Torch to reveal its whereabouts, and then carefully roll around its attacks and slash at it from behind to finish it off.
35. Furnace Golem (Church District Highroad)
As you make your way north after crossing through Bonny Village, you'll encounter another Furnace Golem, carefully located next to an elevated position from which you can throw Hefty Fire/Furnace Pots into its basket. Have fun!
36. Swordhand Of Night Anna (Finger Ruins Of Miyr)
If you progress Ymir's quest a short way, then there'll come a time when you find he isn't on his throne at the Cathedral Of Manus Metyr, and you can interact with the throne to reveal a passage into the hidden Finger Ruins Of Miyr. There you'll be assailed by Swordhand Of Night Anna and her Claws Of Night. Sounds dangerous, but it really isn't. She's an ordinary NPC enemy, go kill her.
37. Jagged Peak Drake (Foot Of The Dragon Peak)
The first dragon you'll find in the Jagged Peak region is a Drake surrounded by its fallen brethren just beyond the exit of the Dragon's Pit dungeon. These Drakes act as a bit of a cross between regular dragons and Ancient Dragons from the base game. They're mostly the same as regular dragons, but they'll occasionally unleash red lightning attacks to try and put Torrent through his paces.
38. Jagged Peak Drake & Lesser Dragon (Foot Of The Dragon Peak)
Climb a short distance up the mountain from the Foot Of The Jagged Peak, and you'll come across two Drakes locked in battle. The damage they do to each other makes this fight much easier than it might have; feel free to safely add your own damage when possible, and finish off the victor afterwards.
39. Tibia Mariner (Charo's Hidden Grave Entrance)
Tibia Mariners are usually extremely easy, I've found. This one's certainly easy to find, once you've figured out how to get to Charo's Hidden Grave. What makes this one a bit more worthy of your time is the fact that it summons a Revenant - one of the most aggressive and least fun bosses in Elden Ring - to hound you when you get near.
The Mariner itself is dead easy, so really the true boss is the Revenant. Fortunately, it has a huge weakness. Cast a healing spell near it, and it'll take huge damage and be stunned ready for a critical hit.
40. Death Rite Bird (Gravebird Lake)
This absolute bastard bird, as well all its kin in the base game, only appears during the night. Even the measliest Death Rite Bird is worthy of respect; this one is extra tough, because it is surrounded by Gravebirds that hound you and keep you distracted. My advice is to fight on foot, take things slow, and make maximum use of Holy damage to chunk down the Death Rite Bird's health whenever you see an opening.
41. Hippopotamus (Lake Beyond River)
There are a few Hippopotamus enemies scattered about the Land Of Shadow, and in my opinion they act kind of like smaller, more compact Ulcerated Tree Spirits. Lots of charging around, big swinging attacks, and so on. They look intimidating, but they're not actually that difficult, and they can be staggered fairly easily. Look out for this one in the middle of the lake near the centre of Charo's Hidden Grave.
42. Furnace Golem (Charo's Hidden Grave West)
The Furnace Golem found at the far west side of Charo's Hidden Grave has armoured feet, so the usual method of attacking the feet until it falls over will not work. Fortunately, it hangs out right next to a ledge where you can get up and look down into its flaming basket. Throw a few Hefty Fire Pots in the basket and it'll go down in no time. Just make sure you time your throws right!
43. Lamenter (Lamenter's Gaol)
The Lamenter is a very curious foe. The namesake of the Lamenter's Gaol in the north of Charo's Hidden Grave, this creature does a lot of sobbing, and a lot of disappearing, and a hell of a lot of cloning itself. There's not much danger here, but it does take time tracking down and dealing damage to the right Lamenter, so this fight is a bit of a test of one's patience.
44. Ancient Dragon Senessax (Jagged Peak Mountainside)
There's exactly one Ancient Dragon fight in Shadow Of The Erdtree (unless you count the next boss in this list), and it's Senessax, a predictably mighty foe who can be found very near the top of the Jagged Peak. Senessax doesn't do much different from Lansseax from the Altus Plateau in base Elden Ring; Senessax is just tougher, and deals more damage. Give those lightning attacks a wide berth!
45. Bayle The Dread (Rest Of The Dread Dragon)
I'm listing Bayle here because he also resides in the Jagged Peak, but I wouldn't actually recommend you face him yet. I would call Bayle the second-hardest boss in Shadow Of The Erdtree, beaten only by the DLC's final boss. Hulkingly massive and with a number of extremely powerful and hard-to-avoid area-of-effect attacks, Bayle is by no means meant to be defeated the moment you first come across him at the top of the Jagged Peak. I'd advise coming back later on when you've upped your Scadutree Blessing Level to 15-20.
You can summon Igon into the arena to fight Bayle, which definitely helps as long as Bayle decides to focus him before you. Generally I've found sticking to the meatiest part of Bayle's tail and hitting him there does a good job whittling down his health. Just prepare to spend a large part of his second phase dodging attacks while he flies around the arena.
46. Red Bear (Northern Nameless Mausoleum)
The so-called Red Bear is anything but. Found within the Northern Nameless Mausoleum (which is accessible via a Spiritspring near the Temple Town Ruins), he's an ordinary guy wearing Beast Claws - essentially an upgraded version of Logur, the first boss in this list. The Red Bear admittedly can do massive damage with those Claws if you let him land a combo on you, but if you stay on the move and close the distance only when you know you can land your attack first, then it shouldn't be too tricky a fight.
47. Rugalea The Great Red Bear (Northwest Forest)
Rugalea The Great Red Bear can be located by following the Scorpion River that cuts through Rauh Base. Rugalea is pretty much identical to Ralva from Scadu Altus, albeit slightly tougher due to region scaling. It's extremely aggressive and doesn't give you much time to heal, so be prepared to keep dodging.
48. Death Knight (Scorpion River Catacombs)
The second Death Knight you're likely to encounter in the Land Of Shadow can be found at the end of the Scorpion River Catacombs in Rauh Base. Like the first, he's a pretty tough foe, this time with greater reach thanks to his massive Longhaft Axe. The biggest danger is his grab attack, telegraphed by a big Ghostflame explosion, because it will essentially kill you in one hit if it lands. Stay on the move, as you would while fighting a Crucible Knight.
49. Misbegotten Crusader (Fissure Depths)
Just before you reach the end of the Stone Coffin Fissure, you'll encounter a glowing Misbegotten Crusader - a near carbon copy of the boss you may have encountered back in the Cave Of The Forlorn in the base game. He's a rough sort, with long swings and combos that can easily kill you or knock you off the cliff edge if you're not careful. But kill him, and you'll be rewarded with the Multilayered Ring Of Light Incantation.
50. Putrescent Knight (Garden Of Deep Purple)
Prepare yourself well, because this is one of the tougher bosses in the Elden Ring DLC. From the Fissure Depths Grace, drop down off the head of the giant statue in front and you'll soar down into one of the most beautiful boss arenas in the game. Sadly, the Putrescent Knight won't let you appreciate it for long.
Key to remember is this: the Putrescent Knight always looks like it's attacking, but often you actually have time to down a heal or two. Don't try and get any attacks in while the Knight is off his horse - just focus on dodging repeatedly. Try to roll past its attacks and damage the horse's hind quarters from the side, and you'll have a slightly easier time taking down this Remembrance boss.
51. Thiollier (Garden Of Deep Purple)
If you're looking to complete Thiollier's questline, eventually you're going to have to fight him. The reason this comes about is that if you imbibe enough of St. Trina's Nectar in the Garden Of Deep Purple after defeating the Putrescent Knight, then she'll start to speak to you. And Thiollier doesn't like that she's speaking to you instead of him. So he invades, and attempts to use his Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle to subdue you.
Fortunately, you can more or less just ignore his attacks and cut him down with a few swings. As he's remarked to you previously, Thiollier isn't all that strong.
52. Golden Hippopotamus (Main Gate Plaza)
Before you take two steps through the Shadow Keep main entrance, you'll be assaulted by another Hippopotamus, this time of the Gold variety. The first phase is the same as any Hippo you've previously fought; but once it gets down to half-health, it'll grow an arrangement of golden spines which it uses to rain annoyance down upon you. Again, expect a very Ulcerated-Tree-Spirit-esque fight.
53. Leda OR Hornsent (Near Storehouse Entrance)
This optional fight is potentially part of a quest crossover between Needle Knight Leda and the Hornsent. If you progress Leda's quest to the point where after Miquella's charm lifts she starts hunting down the unworthy among her group, you then have the choice to interfere in their fight against one another via summon signs in the Shadow Keep. Neither foe is particularly challenging, especially with an ally to back you up. Choose who you prefer (or don't!), and enjoy. And if you want more information, check out our guide on whether you should assist Leda or the Hornsent.
54. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Church District)
There are a couple of Ulcerated Tree Spirits swimming about in the drowning Church District beside the Shadow Keep. To fight them, you need to do some rooftop parkouring until you reach a big wheel you can turn to drain the district, allowing you to reach the ground at last. This Ulcerated Tree Spirit attacks you as you approach the tree in the circular garden area beside the Sunken Chapel Grace.
55. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Church District)
You know how I said there are two Ulcerated Tree Spirits in the Church District? This is the other one, located slightly northeast of the first. In terms of the boss fight itself, the two are exactly identical. The only reason this particular Ulcerated Tree Spirit is special is because it drops an Iris Of Occultation on death.
56. Wego, Fire Knight Elder (Church District)
At the base of the actual Church building within the Church District, you'll find an elite Fire Knight miniboss, with the power to raise burning corpses to fight for him. This is Wego, the first of three elite Fire Knights you'll encounter in the Shadow Keep.
57. Leda OR Ansbach (Specimen Storehouse)
If you continue with Leda's bloodthirsty mission of weeding out the unfaithful, then she will eventually turn on Ansbach within the Specimen Storehouse in the Shadow Keep - and just as with Leda vs the Hornsent, you have the option to join their duel on either side via summoning signs. Ansbach gives you the greatest challenge for sure - he's actually very annoying at times with his fast-firing and very dangerous bow attacks. But if you get him in a corner, he's toast. And Leda really isn't too difficult either - she's basically the same as any other NPC invader.
58. Kood, Fire Knight Captain (Outside Dark Chamber)
Make your way up to the very top of the Shadow Keep, and at the doors of the Dark Chamber (behind which Messmer awaits you...), you'll find Kood, Fire Knight Captain. He doesn't actually behave much different from any regular Fire Knight, but his stats are increased beyond the norm, and he is the keeper of the Flame Spear Ash Of War, which drops when he dies.
59. Messmer The Impaler (Dark Chamber)
Ah, here he is. Poster-child Messmer The Impaler can be found at the top of the Shadow Keep, and he's one of just a very small shortlist of actually required bosses in the DLC. To no one's surprise, he's very tough. He supplements his elegant slashes and thrusts with flame attacks that give him some quite astonishing range, and his second phase is... well, it's a lot.
Weirdly though, I found it easier to get to grips with that second phase than with his first. It's scary as hell, and there's a lot going on on-screen, but the dodge timing actually isn't that difficult once you understand what you're seeing. Stick with it; it might end up taking less time than you think to defeat Messmer. He ain't no Malenia.
60. Salza, Fire Knight Sage (Viaduct Minor Tower)
As you make your way down the bridge from the Shadow Keep's West Rampart Site Of Grace, you'll soon find yourself under fire from some sort of Messmerfire rain Sorcery. Turns out, Salza, Fire Knight Sage is standing at the entrance to the Viaduct Minor Tower at the end of the bridge, and is being a nuisance. He's not too hard to deal with though; once you get close, he's like every other Fire Knight you've dealt with in the Shadow Keep. Hard by ordinary enemy standards, but not by boss standards.
61. Scadutree Avatar (Scadutree Base)
The Scadutree Avatar is a thrilling boss to fight. Located at the base of the Scadutree itself (accessible via the Church District of the Shadow Keep), its uniqueness lies in the fact that you need to "kill" it three times before it dies properly. Before that, each time you take it out, it'll disappear and then tear its way back out of the ground with a new, more advanced moveset.
Pay particular attention for when it rears back, because that means it's about to do an arena-spanning charge attack (or multiple, one after the other). The other really dangerous move is when it throws bleed-inducing roots at you. Dodge to the side as if your life depends on it, because it probably does.
62. Commander Gaius (Scaduview Entrance)
Commander Gaius is a very tough foe, almost to the same extent as Messmer himself, albeit in a very different way. Gaius is found in front of the Shadow Keep, Back Gate Grace, and his boss fight is like a Tree Sentinel fight cranked up to 11, where the horse (or in this case, boar) does as much damage as the rider.
As if that weren't enough, Gaius is also a master of Gravity magic (much like Radahn in base Elden Ring), and in his second phase he'll launch himself and his mount into the air to deliver spectacular crashing blows down upon you. But keep up the pressure, and you'll find it's not too difficult to stagger and crit him.
63. Tree Sentinel Duo (Hinterland Bridge)
A short way into the Hinterland (If you're not sure how to get there, I suggest you read our guide on how to get to the Hinterland), you'll come across a pair of Tree Sentinels. If you're in the Hinterland, something like a Tree Sentinel won't give you much trouble, but drawing aggro on both at once can make it quite a pain, so it's best to take them one at a time.
64. Fallingstar Beast (Hinterland Crater)
The most dangerous foe in the Hinterland is the Fallingstar Beast, which spawns when you enter its crater to the north. It's identical to the Fallingstar Beasts from the base game, so you should know what you're getting into, but that doesn't make it any less challenging. Aim for the head or the base of the tail, and fight on foot rather than on horseback for an easier time dodging its gravitational and tail attacks.
65. Metyr, Mother Of Fingers (Finger Birthing Grounds)
Progress to the end of Count Ymir's questline and you'll come face to face with Metyr, Mother Of Fingers - fascinatingly, the "mother" of all Two Fingers and Fingercreepers in Elden Ring. This Remembrance boss has plenty of powerful attacks, and is particularly difficult to face from the side. Fortunately, she has a giant weak spot in the form of her chest, which is very susceptible to slashing and bleed attacks in my experience.
In Metyr's second phase, she'll conjure a singularity and use it to fire off all sorts of horrendous area-of-effect attacks, so give her some space and respect in this second phase, and pick the right moment to get up close to finish her off.
66. Jolán and Count Ymir (Cathedral Of Manus Metyr)
Once you return to the Cathedral Of Manus Metyr after defeating Metyr, Mother Of Fingers, you'll be invaded first by Swordhand Of Night Jolán and then Count Ymir himself, for two rather different NPC fighting styles back-to-back. Honestly though, after Metyr, neither enemy can trouble you much as long as you are able to dodge their most dangerous attacks.
67. Crucible Knight Devonia (Rauh Ancient Ruins, East)
While technically unnamed, it's clear from the loot she drops that this is Crucible Knight Devonia. You can find her guarding the Cross in the Ancient Ruins Of Rauh, which you can access from the long bridge west out of the Shadow Keep. Devonia is generally just another Crucible Knight. Slow, powerful attacks, doesn't give you much time to heal. All the usual. She also turns into a centaur, or something. Regardless, she's annoying but not a real sticking point.
68. Hippopotamus (Rauh Ancient Ruins, East)
Found lounging in a lake near the Ancient Ruins Of Rauh Cross, another Hippopotamus lies waiting to give you its Scadutree Fragment. There's not much more to say about Hippos at this point - if you've fought the ones in the other regions, you know what to do here. Send it to Hippo Hell.
69. Furnace Golem (Rauh Ancient Ruins, West)
The annoying thing about the Furnace Golem in the Ancient Ruins Of Rauh is that it sees you from a mile off and fires its huge fiery tunnel attack at you while you're crossing the bridge to reach it. Bait it into attacking you on one side of the bridge before diving over to the other, then get up close and punish it for its sneaky manoeuvres.
70. Divine Beast Dancing Lion (Grand Stairway Temple)
Once you make your way up to the highest area of the Ancient Ruins Of Rauh to the southwest, you'll find a temple guarded by - oh joy - another Divine Beast Dancing Lion. Only this one is much more dangerous than the one you faced in Belurat. Not only is it much tougher thanks to the Rauh region scaling, but this one substitutes the original's smoke attacks with Death Blight attacks which instantly kill you if your status meter fills up.
Make no mistake, this is a tough fight even when you're maxed out on Scadutree Blessings. Stay patient, because if you attack recklessly then you'll be punished by the Divine Beast's endless number of area-of-effect elemental attacks. With the exception of Bayle The Dread, this is the hardest non-Remembrance boss in the DLC in my opinion.
71. Romina, Saint Of The Bud (Church Of The Bud)
Romina, Saint Of The Bud is a gorgeously designed boss, but (a little sadly) she's probably the easiest of all the Remembrance bosses in Shadow Of The Erdtree in my opinion. The main boss of the Ancient Ruins Of Rauh, she can be found inside the Church Of The Bud, and her modus operandi involves long-range swipes and judicial application of Scarlet Rot.
Romina is, however, fairly squishy and susceptible to bleed, and her moveset appears a bit limited once you get up close and personal with her. Steer clear of her butterflies and you'll be fine.
72. Furnace Golem (Castle Watering Hole)
You know where those two summon signs were for Leda vs the Hornsent? Well there's a ladder right there. Go through the waterfall, then hit the wall next to the painting for a secret passage to the Castle Watering Hole - a veritable cemetery of broken-down Furnace Golems. Except this one isn't broken down. You know what to do.
73. Furnace Golem (Ruins Of Unte)
If you've read our guide on how to get inside the Ruins Of Unte, you know that there's something special about this Furnace Golem. It's another broken down Golem, but this one is blocking the entrance to the Ruins, so you need to wake it up by throwing a Hefty Furnace Pot into its basket. After that, of course, you need to defeat it. Fortunately this is likely the eighth such Furnace Golem you've encountered, so killing these guys should be second nature by now.
74. Rakshasa (Eastern Nameless Mausoleum)
Rakshasa is holed up inside the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum, which is the most hidden of the four Mausoleums in the DLC. You'll need to follow the path that branches off near the Recluses' River Downstream Grace to reach it; inside, you'll find that Rakshasa is a fairly ordinary Great Katana-wielding NPC enemy, albeit one who hits like a truck (and once you see the effect of his Armor Set, that'll make sense).
75. Hippopotamus (Recluses' River Downstream Lake)
Another day, another giant angry Hippo to kill, isn't that how the saying goes? Make your way down the cliffside ledges from the Recluses' River Downstream Grace, and you'll reach a lake with two more of these bad boys, each of which offers you a Scadutree Fragment on death.
76. Hippopotamus (Recluses' River Downstream Lake)
Yet another Hippopotamus awaits you slightly further into the lake from the first (above). The only real danger they pose is if you wander too far near the territory of the other while you're fighting the first, and they band together against you. Otherwise, they're fairly straightforward fights at this point of the DLC.
77. Jori, Elder Inquisitor (Darklight Catacombs)
Jori, Elder Inquisitor is probably the toughest of all the dungeon bosses in Shadow Of The Erdtree. And that makes sense, because he's also arguably the most important, seeing as he gatekeeps an entire region of the Land Of Shadow: the Abyssal Woods.
Found at the end of the Darklight Catacombs, Jori is a very annoying foe for melee players because he loves to teleport away from you, fire ranged holy attacks that are difficult to avoid, and - worst of all - summons lots of helpers to fire even more holy attacks at you. Defeating Jori is more of a test of patience than any other dungeon boss.
78. Madding Hand (Woodland Trail)
The Madding Hand is an unassuming NPC that attacks you down a specific path of the Abyssal Woods. He wields his namesake Fist weapon, the Madding Hand, which basically means he inflicts madness buildup with each hit. Otherwise, he's another very straightforward NPC miniboss. Slash at him until he bleeds and dies, and beware his Flame Of Frenzy AOE attack.
79-83. Aging Untouchables (Abyssal Woods)
Aging Untouchables - also known by their legacy name from Bloodborne, "Winter Lanterns" - are among the scariest foes in all of Elden Ring. These creatures are completely invulnerable to damage until you parry them once, after which they become killable. All the while, they'll relentlessly chase you down if they see you, inflicting Madness as they get close.
For more information on these dangerous minibosses, consult our guide on how to kill Winter Lanterns in Elden Ring.
84. Midra, Lord Of Frenzied Flame (Midra's Manse)
Now here's an awesome boss. Midra is the proprietor of Midra's Manse, the main landmark inside the Abyssal Woods. He's also a failed Lord Of The Frenzied Flame, and one of the toughest bosses in Shadow Of The Erdtree. Long reach, colossal area-of-effect attacks, one-shot potential, and probably a more intimidating presence than any other boss in the game. This guy is worth the trek through the Abyssal Woods.
Unexpectedly, this boss probably is the one that feels most like Malenia while fighting him. I wouldn't quite put him on her difficulty level, but he's not far off at all.
85. Divine Beast Warrior Of Lightning (Outside Spiral Rise)
On the path from the beginning to the end of Enir-Ilim, you'll encounter three Divine Beast Warriors, each of whom has a special elemental affinity. The first one you'll find is just up the stairs beyond the garden near the beginning of Enir-Ilim. It's a powerful foe with Lightning-imbued attacks that can fill the area with damage-dealing lightning bolts.
It is also one of the only enemies listed in this guide which can respawn, but it's worth highlighting regardless, as it's a very tough boss-like foe found shortly before the end of the DLC.
86. Divine Beast Warrior Of Frost (Spiral Rise Rooftops)
My personal pick for the most challenging of the three Divine Beast Warriors, the Frost warrior can be found on the rooftops above the Spiral Rise, and it's an exceptionally nasty piece of work, with its relentless attacks dealing large area-of-effect Frostbite over and over until you prevail or die. This unhappy Horned Warrior also respawns, which incidentally would make it a great option for farming the Horned Warrior armor set - if it weren't also so challenging to defeat.
87. Divine Beast Warrior Of Wind (Outside Cleansing Chamber Anteroom)
Another Divine Beast Warrior can be found on the staircase leading up to the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom, and it is the only one of the Warriors that doesn't respawn after death. It also drops the Horned Warrior's Greatsword on its death as a nice little prize just before the end of the DLC.
This Warrior's elemental affinity is Wind, and it's very nearly as challenging in my book as the Frost-based Warrior you defeated just beforehand. The only saving grace is that you have quite a lot more room here to manoeuvre around the Warrior's attacks, so keep moving and strike at the right moments to bring it down safely.
88. Divine Beast Warrior Of Wind (Belurat Via Enir-Ilim)
The final Divine Beast Warrior is a well-hidden Warrior of Wind which is actually found in Belurat, but in an area that can only be accessed via an obscure parkour pathway within Enir-Ilim. Go partway down the steps leading up to the Spiral Rise Grace, and jump off the edge and onto the broken staircase below with the corpse on it. Follow the path from here and you'll eventually find your way to the area of Belurat where the Divine Beast Warrior is waiting (and guarding the powerful legendary weapon, Euporia).
89. Leda, Dryleaf Dane, And Allies (Cleansing Chamber Anteroom)
What an absolute bastard of a fight this can be. The culmination of nearly every side quest in Shadow Of The Erdtree, this penultimate fight sees you face Needle Knight Leda and Dryleaf Dane, and potentially several other characters at the same time. Thankfully, depending on your actions in said quests, you may find that not only might some characters not appear to fight you, but they may actually be available as allies to fight with you against Leda.
90. Promised Consort Radahn (Gate Of Divinity)
Here we are, at the final boss battle of Shadow Of The Erdtree - and in my opinion, the most difficult boss in all of Elden Ring. Promised Consort Radahn is an overwhelmingly mighty warrior even in his first phase, with a compendium of hard-hitting and hard-to-avoid combos from his dual Greatswords. And when the second phase begins and Radahn truly becomes the Consort Of Miquella, the screen becomes very busy indeed.
My advice? Max out your Scadutree Blessing and your Holy Damage Negation, and I might also suggest using Bloodhound Step to help you avoid some of the most dangerous attacks. Even then, this final boss is going to give you a very hard time. Congratulations if and when you manage to defeat him!
Just... whatever you do, don't allow yourself to be grabbed a second time without first using Miquella's Great Rune.
That wraps up this guide on all Elden Ring bosses and their locations. If you're looking to prepare yourself for the daunting task of felling all these adversaries, be sure to check out our guides on where to find the best weapons and armour in Elden Ring early on.
