Silent Hill Townfall Part 1 Simon walkthrough

Below, you'll find all main objectives during the Part 1 of Silent Hill Townfall, as well as exactly how to complete them.

  1. Enter 2A West Shore Lane.
  2. Solve the Power Card Credit puzzle.
  3. Solve the Organ Transport Box puzzle.
  4. Go to the Shorefront Family Clinic.
  5. Unlock Reception.
  6. Enter the Pharmacy.
  7. Open the Pharmacy locker.
  8. Go to Jessica's house on Farrow Street.
  9. Solve the weighing scales puzzle in the Clinic.

1. Enter 2A West Shore Lane.

After the cutscene at the end of Townfall's prologue, check your CRTV. There'll be a Signal you can tune into showing you where to head next; a house on West Shore Lane.

Go down the alleyway that's left of the Fergusons store and look right; the house from the signal is here. Head inside.

In the hallway, there's a phone you can use to save your game. Upon exploring the house, there's a few things of note.

  • The living room contains a Hand Delivered Letter, and a PC with no power.
  • The kitchen contains a Human Organ Transport Box that needs two numerical codes consisting of three digits to be unlocked. You can't solve this just yet.
  • The kitchen drawer contains a Flashlight (without batteries).
  • Upstairs, you'll find Gauze in the bathroom cabinet, AA Batteries in the spare room, and the Organ Transplant Card document in the en-suite. This document says the Secure Lock Codes for the Organ Transport Box are provided by email.
  • Combine the Flashlight with the AA Batteries in your inventory to get a working Flashlight, then enter the small door in the downstairs hallway. This leads to a Power Card machine and the Power Card Credit Guide document. This machine requires a Power Card with credit to work, and will ultimately provide power to the house. You can't do this just yet.

We now have a working Flashlight which is great, but we've also two puzzles to solve here that we can't complete just yet. After fully exploring the house, which belongs to Zoe, exit and head back down the alleyway towards Main Street.

In New Game Plus, if you wish to get the game's sci-fi ending, you must interact with the book underneath Zoe's bedsibe table here.

2. Solve the Power Card Credit puzzle.

After the cutscene, open your map. The Newsagents will now be circled, but the front door is locked. Head around the back of the building via The Mariner, taking caution of the enemy that lurks there, and go through the back door.

By the front desk, collect the Plank and the Newsagents Note. Then, open the till and collect the Prepaid Power Card.

Before returning to Zoe's, head back outside – using the front door this time – and go left. At the end of the road, you can enter Video Star, where you'll find Strange Postcard 1 on the front desk.

In New Game Plus, the back room of the Video Star store will also contain the Bronze Coin needed for the game's dog ending. You need to input this coin into the Guide Dog Bank near the Pharmacy on Main Street.

That's all of note here, so go ahead and return to Zoe's house. It's time to solve the Power Card Credit puzzle and turn the power on!

Interact with the Power Card machine beneath the stairs in Zoe's house, and use the Power Card Credit Guide to top up her electric meter. If you need some additional help, you'll find step-by-step instructions on how to do this below:

How to solve the Power Card Credit puzzle.

After collecting the Prepaid Power Card from the Newsagents, return to the Power Card machine in Zoe's house and do the following:

  1. Insert Electricard in the card slot.
  2. Use Button A to cycle to the Credit Card option.
  3. Press Button B to apply credit.
  4. Push the Master Power Switch for the power to be turned back on.
The Power Credit Card Guide is shown in Silent Hill Townfall.

3. Solve the Organ Transport Box puzzle.

With the power back on, it's time to crack the Organ Transport Box codes next. Go to the PC in the lounge and read Zoe's emails. The email titled 'For Attending Surgeon' reveals that the Organ Transplant Box's codes are 'set using the first and last three digits of the corresponding ET code'.

Next, look at the Organ Transplant Card in your inventory. There's two ET codes on this document, but the one we want to use is the second one that reads '956234692133'.

The Organ Transplant Card is shown in Silent Hill Townfall.

The first three digits of this ET code are 956, while the last three digits are 133. Input these into the two numerical locks on the Organ Transport Box in the kitchen. Inside, you'll find Zoe's Lanyard for her job at the Shorefront Family Clinic.

If you use your CRTV now and tune into the next Signal, it'll show the Shorefront Family Clinic and Zoe's office. Guess where we're headed next…

4. Go to the Shorefront Family Clinic.

Next, head to the Shorefront Family Clinic on your map and use Zoe's Lanyard to enter. Bear in mind that there will be an enemy lurking outside, so be prepared to sneak by them.

Inside the Clinic, you'll find the following before reaching Zoe's office:

  • Dr Stevenson's office contains Gauze, and the Note on Patient Records document.
  • Dr Harford's office contains Gauze and an Empty IV Bag.
  • B Mcmillan's office contains IV Fluid (combine this with the Empty IV Bag to receive a revive).

Inside Zoe's office, you'll be met with the weighing scales puzzle, which we can't solve just yet. You'll also find her Resignation Letter, a Scalpel in her drawer, and the Clinic Post-It Note document which reveals the Reception code: 2896.

You can also interact with the PC to read Zoe's emails:

  • An email from Zoe's friend Jessica reveals her address is 21 Farrow Street, just north of the park.
  • An email from reception says Zoe has a voice message waiting for her in reception.

5. Unlock Reception.

Go to Reception next and input the code on the Clinic Post It Note – 2896 – into the keypad here. Inside, you'll find a save phone, and now is a good time to save your game.

Listen to the answer machine message beside the phone; it's revealed that there's a prescription written by Zoe in the Pharmacy that doesn't look quite right and they wanted her to check it out. You'll also find the Nurse's Rounds Form in here, but that's all.

Exit the Clinic and go to the Pharmacy on your map next.

6. Enter the Pharmacy.

The Pharmacy door is locked, but fortunately, you have a Scalpel now which can be used to unlock it.

Once inside, you'll find a phone to save at, a radio behind the main desk, and a locker in need of a four digit code to unlock. Tune the CRTV to the radio and the Signal will show various posters around the pharmacy, all of which act as clues for the locker code. The storage cupboard here also contains a First Aid Kit.

7. Open the Pharmacy locker.

To work out the Pharmacy locker code, the CRTV Signal and the posters shown during it are your main clue. The posters shown are all posters in the Pharmacy, and all of them allude to a number of some sort.

Here are all the posters and what numbers they allude to:

  • Shows the hand-washing poster in the bathroom. Count the visible fingers here; there are 6.
  • Shows the 'prescription drugs and you' poster. The poster says 5 on it.
  • Shows the consultation service poster with a scale on it. The scale on the poster points to the number 3.
  • Shows the poster with pills that says 'puts you and your family at risk'. The blister pack of pills on the poster contains 9 pills.

Put the numbers from the aforementioned poster together in the order that they're shown off during the Signal, and you'll ultimately have a code of 6539.

The locker contains the Prescription Dosage Error Note, which says the dosage for Mr. Stewart was way above his previous dosage and is likely incorrect. This might seem useless now, but it'll come in handy shortly.

You can now exit the Pharmacy and begin going to Jessica's house on Farrow Street next, but I recommend saving before heading off.

8. Go to Jessica's house on Farrow Street.

To get to Farrow Street, you'll need to go via the St. Amelia Park. To open the door into the Park, you'll need to use the Scalpel again.

Once in the Park, first go left and south through the gap in the wall to reach Strange Postcard 2, which is sat next to a large black rubbish bin.

Once you've grabbed that, exit and go northwest in the park to reach Farrow Street.

Then go right along the street and towards Jessica's house. Along this back alley, the final gate is locked. Instead, go into the final garden on the right-hand side and squeeze through the gap by the shed.

There'll be a phone box on your left to save at, and if you go left to the very end of the road here, you'll reach a very tall, foreboding wall. You'll also find Strange Postcard 3 stuck on it.

After grabbing the postcard, turn around and head to Jessica's house, which you'll find is locked. That said, the house labeled No. 16 is open, so head in there for now.

Ignore Flat 0/1 for now and go upstairs to Flat 1/2, where you'll find:

  • The Feeling Sick Note is in a bedroom.
  • Strange Postcard 4 is on one of the bedroom floors, at the foot of the bed.
  • The 21 Farrow St. Back Door Key is on a dresser in the lounge.
  • There's some Gauze in the bathroom cabinet.

If you then go down to Flat 0/1, you'll find a First Aid Kit in the bathroom cabinet and a locked blue lockbox. We'll come back for this later.

With No. 16 fully explored, return to Jessica's house and use the 21 Farrow St. Back Door Key on the back door. In the back gardens along the way, you can collect a Plank from a wheelbarrow.

Once inside Jessica's houses, you'll find the following items:

  • The hallway contains a save phone and an answer machine message from Zoe to Jess.
  • The kitchen contains a Lockbox Key and the Task Assignment document.
  • The lounge contains Jess' Legal Advice document.
  • The bedroom has a Broken Stethoscope on the bed to collect.
  • The bathroom contains Gauze.

That's all there is to do here. Next, return to the blue lockbox in No. 16 Flat 0/1 to and unlock it using the Lockbox Key to receive an Empty IV Bag and IV Fluid.

With that done, it's now finally time to return to the Shorefront Family Clinic and solve the weighing scales puzzle.

9. Solve the weighing scales puzzle in the Clinic.

Go back to the Shorefront Family Clinic and enter Zoe's office again.

You now need to solve the weighing scales puzzle, which is done by putting three of Zoe's belongings (her Lanyard, her Stethoscope, and the Prescription Dosage Error) in the scales in the correct order. This order is revealed by her self-criticisms in her Resignation Letter, shown below.

Each self-criticism corresponds with an item, and they should be placed on the scales from left-to-right in the order that Zoe mentions them in her letter. The solution is as follows:

  • 'I didn't listen closely enough.' - place the Broken Stethoscope on the first scale.
  • 'I made mistakes and couldn't focus on the tasks at hand.' - Place the Prescription Dosage Error on the middle scale.
  • 'I'm not fit to work in this role any longer.' - Place Zoe's Lanyard on the third scale.

Upon solving the puzzle correctly, a cutscene will follow in which Simon looks at his CRTV, and soon enough, you'll find yourself in the shoes of a completely different character…
