After exploring CEG Headquarters as Richard in Part 5 of Silent Hill Townfall, Part 6 Simon sees you playing as – you guessed it – Simon again, who now needs to explore a transformed, Otherworld version of the CEG HQ. This is the final chapter of the game too, so it's time to wrap things up and set things right.

To make sure you don't miss out on anything important, here's my Silent Hill Townfall Part 6 Simon walkthrough.

Need more help navigating St. Amelia? Here's our Silent Hill Townfall tips, tricks, and guides.

Silent Hill Townfall Part 6 Simon walkthrough

Part 6 Simon is the last chapter of Silent Hill Townfall. Finally, you'll be getting some answers (which will no doubt raise more questions) and seeing the conclusion of Simon, Zoe, and Richard's stories. As the ultimate chapter of the game, there's also some terrifying encounters and very challenging puzzles up ahead to look forward to. Enjoy!

Below, you'll find all main objectives during the Part 6 of Silent Hill Townfall, as well as exactly how to complete them.

  1. Collect the Ordell file.
  2. Ride the elevator.
  3. Stop the alarm and rotate the valves.
  4. Escape the tunnel maze.
  5. Unlock the SWDP Different Map.
  6. Enter the JOE room.
  7. Enter the CCTV room and start the command console puzzle.
  8. Enter the AUX room and solve the valve puzzle.
  9. Return to the CCTV room and continue the command console puzzle.
  10. Manually open Valve F.
  11. Solve the clamp controls puzzle.
  12. Turn the red valve and go down the hallway.
  13. Exit CEG HQ.
  14. Defeat The Weight.
  15. Go to the pier.

1. Collect the Ordell file.

Part 6 begins with a cutscene showing Richard pleading with Simon to hold up his end of the bargain. Richard also appears to shoot Zoe, who we could hear from behind the door in the room that has a dial on it. It's all harrowing stuff, and ultimately reveals that Simon isn't perhaps as innocent as we might've once first thought. Similarly, Richard appears to be a real piece of work…

A dial with dates on it is shown on a door in Silent Hill Townfall.

After the cutscene, you'll be playing as Simon in the Otherworld version of the CEG HQ. You'll also have Richard's shotgun in your inventory now and again, I recommend saving any Shotgun Rounds or Flare Gun rounds you find for later. You're going to need them.

First things first, collect the green Ordell file from the desk in this room. Give it a read, and you'll soon learn that Simon was actually a whistleblower sent over from the USA.

The Ordell File is shown in Silent Hill Townfall.

2. Ride the elevator.

Exit the room next, and check the emails on the PC just outside if you'd like. To continue, head to the elevator again and ride it to the ground floor.

A broken elevator control panel is shown in Silent Hill Townfall.

Another cutscene will ensue that shows Simon, in the elevator, being plunged to the very bottom of the facility. At the bottom, there'll also be a CRTV Signal to tune into that shows an engineer talking about equipment issues and alarms, asking if he should phone Ordell. Someone else tells him to keep the issues to himself. That can't be good…

Go down the hall now until you come to a large room.

3. Stop the alarm and rotate the valves.

In this room, you'll find the following:

  • On the wall on the left-hand side is a save phone.
  • In a cabinet in the back right-hand corner of the room is Alcohol and Gauze.
  • On the right-hand side of the room on the table is an Empty IV Bag, IV Fluid, the Reference Sheet Note, and Radio to tune to.

The Reference Sheet Note details clamp release and alarms, without much context. The codes 'E3-E3' and 772-89 = 'A5-D7' are highlighted. These will come in use shortly!

Beside the phone in this room is an elevator. Hop onto it, press power, and go upwards. On the next floor, go left and open the box by the next valve (which won't turn just yet) to receive the Controller Key. Then, ride the elevator back to the ground floor.

Facing the elevator control panel still, go left and up the stairs to arrive at the valve labeled '1' and interact with the Alarm Status panel there. To turn off the alarm and get the valves in this area working, you need to use both the Controller Key and the Reference Sheet from earlier to do the following:

  1. Input the Controller Key into the panel.
  2. Look at the Alarm Code on the panel – 77289 – and find this on the Reference Sheet. You should see 'A5D7' beside the Alarm Code on this sheet.
  3. Input 'A5D7' into the panel and press 'OK' to turn the alarms off.
Simon interacts with the alarm control panel in Silent Hill Townfall.

Now that the alarms in the area have stopped blaring, it's time to get the valves working. Interact with the command console that's to the right of the valve here next.

Using the Reference Sheet again, you want to input the clamp release code – E3E3 – into the panel then press 'OK'. After this, you'll be able to rotate the valves on all four floors of the area.

When it comes to rotating the valves, you need to rotate each one so that the red pipes running along each stack align with one another. You may need to run around the stack itself on each floor to double check everything is connected, and I recommend working from Valve 1 and upwards.

Simon is shown turning a valve in Silent Hill Townfall.

Once Valves 1 through 4 are connected to one another, return to the command console on the ground floor again. Then, press the following buttons:

  • Press 'gas flow'.
  • Press 'flow test'.
  • Press 'ignite'.

You'll receive a CRTV Signal now, and a route just opposite the command console – through a yellow, glowing door shown below – is where you need to head next. Along this path, you'll need to crouch and head left, then go down the ladder in front of you.

4. Escape the tunnel maze.

In the following area, you'll come to a large pipe that you can crouch to enter. (There'll also conveniently be a Pipe next to this for you to collect.)

In the following tunnel, keep straight ahead to arrive at an area with a ladder; don't go down this just yet. Instead, go left to find a Radio Signal you can tune into, then go down the ladder.

There'll be another long hallway to go do next, with another ladder at the end. Go down this, then enter the vent beside the door ahead to arrive in another tunnel.

Simon is shown going along a hallway in Silent Hill Townfall.

Now, the next tunnel is a bit of a maze. There's a lot of dead ends and enemies skulking around corners waiting to lunge at you, so bear that in mind. I've detailed the exact route out of this maze (which includes grabbing Strange Postcard 15 along the way), just in case you get lost:

  1. At your first crossroads, where you can go right or straight ahead, go right.
  2. At the second crossroads where an enemy usually ambushes you, go straight ahead.
  3. [Optional] At the second crossroads, if you go left, you'll find Strange Postcard 15.
  4. At the third crossroads, where you can go right or straight ahead again, go right.
  5. At the fourth crossroads where another enemy usually ambushes you, go straight ahead.
  6. At the fifth and final crossroads where you can go left or right, go left.

5. Unlock the SWDP Different Map.

After exiting the tunnel, go along yet another long hallway and up the ladder at the end.

Atop this ladder, you'll unlock the SWDP Different Map, and can see that the area has two floors.

Now, in this room there's a big red valve in the centre that won't turn. If you continue exploring, you'll also find the following:

  • In the south of the room, there's an elevator in need of power. The cabinet beside this contains Gauze.
  • In the north of the room, there's a locker room. The cabinet here contains Alcohol.
  • If you go up the staircase that's directly outside of the locker room, you'll find a Card Reader in need of power.
  • North of the elevator on your map is a second staircase leading upstairs. The door to the left of this is locked, but the room on the right contains a Lockbox Key, Gauze, and an IV Bag.
  • In the top right-hand corner of the room is a staircase leading downstairs.

To progress, go to the aforementioned staircase – in the top right-hand corner of your map – that leads to the downstairs of this area.

6. Enter the JOE room.

On this floor, go to the square room that's in the bottom left-hand corner of your map to find the Backup Generator, as well as a cabinet containing a First Aid Kit.

In here, flip the switch on the Backup Generator to restore power to the facility then immediately hide. You're not alone down here anymore!

Next, you need to go back upstairs and to the elevator there, which now has power. You'll need to be careful when doing this though, as there'll be monsters – including the big monster from earlier in the game who can instantly kill you – present throughout the area now.

In the elevator, head to the first floor. Your map will now have a new section added to it.

The SWDP Different Map is shown in Silent Hill Townfall.

Our goal here is to enter the room labeled JOE. To do this however, you'll first need the JOE Key. Go to the northeasternmost room in this area to collect the JOE Key from the desk. You'll also be able to check the emails on the PC here.

Once you have the JOE Key, go to the room labeled JOE on your map. The room itself contains some Gauze and Alcohol to grab, and in the corner, there'll be a gap to squeeze through allowing you to enter another room.

In the following room, you'll find a Pipe, an Access Card, the RCU Refit Note, a Photo of Joe McKenzie, and a Radio Signal that you can tune the CRTV to.

7. Enter the CCTV room and start the command console puzzle.

Next, return to the ground floor via the elevator and look at your map. The Card Reader from earlier – which should be labeled on your map now – will have power, and you'll also now have the Access Card needed to use it.

Go to the Card Reader and use the Access Card on it to enter the CCTV Room. In here, there'll be a cutscene where a voice on the intercom asks Simon to walk him through the events of 'that night' step by step, as they happened.

In this room, you'll find the following:

  • There's a Remote Systems Control Note that has 'Aux Line B - 246' highlighted. This also notes 'Command - Equipment - ID' as the order to input things in on the nearby command console.
  • There's a Lockbox, which we can open using the Lockbox Key from earlier to get a Flare Round, Shotgun Round, and some Antibiotics.
  • There's a med kit containing IV Fluid and Gauze,
  • There's a save phone on the wall, and both doors in this room can be locked so you're safe inside.
  • There's a Remote Control Panel that's locked for now.
  • There's a CCTV system with a command console beside it. You can flip both power switches on the machine to turn it on.

Now that we have the lay of the land and have taken everything in this room in, it's time to kick off the command console puzzle, which is one of the toughest puzzles in the game unless you happen to have a background in engineering.

First, I recommend messing around with the CCTV system to your hearts content for now. On the system, you'll be able to switch between multiple numbered cameras to look at different mechanisms in the area, such as nearby valves, the backup generator, and so forth.

On the command console to the right of the CCTV system, there's a fax-like machine that features written messages from an unknown source as well as a keyboard of buttons that are various engineering/physics symbols.

Simon is shown interacting with a command console in Silent Hill Townfall.

Ultimately, our job here is to complete the actions described by the messages on the command console, which feature a mixture of puzzling tasks that involve identifying and using symbols on the console, as well as physical tasks around the area.

The first message on the command console reads as follows:

'8:02PM - Almost immediately, it became clear that the DS0 had failed to recognise an error on the Reciprocal Compressor Unit on Valve B. The operator then used the console to OPEN VALVE B.'

Now, you need to use the Remote Systems Control Note, the CCTV system, and the message here to press the correct numbers and symbols on the command console to open Valve B. If you get it wrong, a message will be shown saying that 'the NSO failed' before the puzzle resets, so don't worry about messing things up here.

To deal with this first message, use the CCTV system to look at Cam ID 5 which shows Valves A to C. Zoom in on Valve B and note down the number written on it: 254.

Simon looks at Valve B on the CCTV in Silent Hill Townfall.

On the command console, then input the following:

  1. Press the 'open' button in the top left corner
  2. Press the 'valve' button (which is the button with a wheel symbol on it).
  3. Input '254' which is the specific code for Valve B.
  4. Press 'Enter'.

Valve B will have now been opened, and a second message will appear on the command console that reads:

'8:04PM - Noticing a build up in particulates in the auxiliary lines, the NSO proceeded to START FILTER - A - in an attempt to reduce build-up.'

To deal with this message, you need to first use the CCTV system to look at Cam ID 0 which shows the Filter Unit, then note down the number painted on the unit: this is 103.

On the command console, then input the following:

  1. Press the 'start' button. It's the first button on the second row.
  2. Press the 'filter' button. This is the rightmost button on the third row.
  3. Input '103' which is the specific code for the Filter Unit.
  4. Press 'Enter'.

The next message on the command console will read as follows:

'8:07PM - The filter failed to clear particulates flooding due to the RCU. The NSO used a locker code provided by management [0825], using the key found there to proceed upstairs and MANUALLY OPEN the AUXILIARY LINES. On returning, the operator attempted to FLUSH AUX LINE B.'

Open the locker in this room now using the code provided by the message – 0825 – and collect the AUX Key (plus three Shotgun Rounds).

Simon is shown inputting a locker code in Silent Hill Townfall.

8. Enter the AUX room and solve the valve puzzle.

You now need to visit the AUX Room to manually open the auxiliary lines (turn a bunch of valves) as the last message on the command console describes.

Go upstairs again via the elevator, then enter the AUX Room using the AUX Key, which is conveniently labeled on your map. Inside the AUX Room, you'll find the AUX Disk, a PC, a locker containing some Alcohol and Gauze, and a dozen valves lining the walls.

Interact with the PC first and put the AUX Disk into the Disk Reader, then read the Auxiliary Lines file pictured below.

The Auxiliary Lines file is shown in Silent Hill Townfall.

This file might seem like a bunch of useless lines, but it's actually telling you exactly which valves in the room need to be opened. 'I' means open valve, and '_' means closed valve.

You'll also quickly notice that the valves aren't in tidy, straight rows, and that there are directional arrows painted on the walls at the beginning and end of each row of valves. You need to start from the wall near the storage cabinet, start from the bottom (first) row of valves, and follow the directional arrows back and forth around the room while opening the valves that need opening. You'll also need to deal with the bottom row (row 1) first, then the middle row (row 2), then the top row (row 3).

Simon looks at multiple valves along a wall in Silent Hill Townfall.

On top of this, you can use the white lines painted on the pipes that the valves are attached to to help with identifying exactly which valve belongs to which row. When the lights on the wall turn from red to green, you've solved the valve puzzle correctly.

For reference, here's exactly what valves need opening on all three rows (so you don't have to keep going back to the PC):

  1. I _ I I _ I _ I I
  2. I _ _ _ I _ _ I I
  3. _ I I I _ I _ I

Once the valve puzzle has successfully been solved and the auxiliary lines have manually been opened, you can give yourself a pat on the back for solving this puzzle (which troubled me for way longer than I'd like to admit), and return to the CCTV room.

9. Return to the CCTV room and continue the command console puzzle.

Back in the CCTV room, you now need to use the command console to 'flush Aux Line B'. Now, thanks to the Remote Systems Control Note from earlier, we already know the ID for Aux Line B to be 246.

With that in mind, do the following on the command console:

  1. Press the 'flush' button. This is on the second row, and is second from the left.
  2. Press the 'aux' button. This is the rightmost button on the fourth row.
  3. Input '246' into the console, which is the ID for Aux Line B.
  4. Press 'Enter'.

After this, another message will appear on the command console that reads as follows:

'8:15 PM - While the Auxiliary Line alleviated pressure, the result of this action caused the system regulator to overheat. The NSO proceeded to STOP the REGULATOR.'

Look at the CCTV system next and navigate to Cam ID 2 which shows the Regulator Systems. The ID for the Regulator, which is painted on it, is 781.

Simon looks at the regulator system on the CCTV in Silent Hill Townfall.

On the command console, then input the following:

  1. Press the 'stop' button. This is the leftmost button on the fourth row.
  2. Press the 'regulator' button. This is third from the left on the fourth row.
  3. Input '781' into the command console, which is the ID for the Regulator.
  4. Press 'Enter'.

The next message on the command console reads as follows:

'8:16PM - With the continued failure of the RCU causing extensive damage throughout the system, and remote control impossible, the NSO was forced to UNLOCK the DOOR leading to VALVE F.'

Once again, look at the CCTV system. This time, pan to Cam ID 4 which shows Valves D to F, and look at the ID for the room (not the ID for Valve F). This is located above the door and is 592.

On the command console now, input the following:

  1. Press the 'unlock' button. This is second from the left on the third row.
  2. Press the 'door' button. This is second from the right on the top row.
  3. Input '592' into the command console, which is the ID for the door leading to Valves D to F.
  4. Press 'Enter'.

There'll be yet another message on the command console now. This one reads as follows:

'8:16PM The NSO once again left their station, travelling to Valve D-F Room to MANUALLY OPEN VALVE F.'

You know what that means. It's time to exit the safety of the CCTV room and manually open Valve F.

If you're playing New Game Plus, there are two more things you can do here before leaving. To achieve the game's dog ending, you want to open the door labeled '793' using the command console, then go into that room to claim the Gold Coin. Similary, if you wish to get the sci-fi ending, you'll want to use the command console to open the door labeled '621' and enter that room to interact with Strange Book 3.

10. Manually open Valve F.

Go downstairs, and downstairs again, and return to the area that had the Backup Generator in it earlier.

One of the locked doors down here (in the bottom left corner of the area, and shown on the map below) will now be accessible, leading to the Valve D to F Room.

Simon looks at Valve F on the map in Silent Hill Townfall.

In the room, interact with Valve F (pictured below) to manually turn it. Then, once the coast is clear in the surrounding corridors, make your way back to the CCTV room upstairs.

Simon approaches Valve F in Silent Hill Townfall.

11. Solve the clamp controls puzzle.

Back in the CCTV room, check the message on the command console. It will now read as follows:

'January 18th, 1996, 8:19PM - Manually opening Valve F caused a chain reaction, leading to the RCU failing, and the beginning of an explosive chain reaction. With the facility immediately engulfed in flames, using the CLAMP RELEASE MODULE opposite the control panel to allow crew to evacuate was the only remaining option. The NSO proceeded to attempt to do so.'

You're now officially done with using the command console. Congratulations! However, you're not done with this room just yet, as you now need to use the clamp controls on the panel opposite the command console.

First, grab the Clamp Release Procedure document from the printer that's to the left of the command console.

The Clamp Release Procedure in Silent Hill Townfall.

With this collected, interact with the clamp controls panel next. Here, you need to follow the instructions on the document to get the clamp controls working.

Simon looks at the clamp controls panel in Silent Hill Townfall.

To do this, refer to the document or do the following:

  1. Adjust Pressure Control to SET.
  2. Switch ON the Self/All Notifiers.
  3. Identify the Panel Model – which is 920CEG – for corresponding Tension and Balance settings. Set these to INT / INT.
  4. Set Run Off to DISENGAGED.
  5. Adjust Intubate Flow to NONE.
  6. Select the clamps in front of you by inputting the relevant letter/number ID for clamp connection (this is D71, which is stencilled on the clamp arms). Input D71.
  7. Toggle the report switches so that they match the clamp letter ID configuration on the document. This is D, so toggle the first, third, and final switches on.
  8. Adjust the power configuration until battery status light illuminates. Battery 1 should be set to B, and Battery 2 should be set to C.
  9. Provided you've set all controls correctly, the release indicator will flash. Press this next.

12. Turn the red valve and go down the hallway.

After using the clamp controls to release the clamps in front of you, a large container will be lowered in the middle of the room, meaning you're finally done with the CCTV room.

Simon looks at a large container behind a valve in Silent Hill Townfall.

Head downstairs to turn the big red valve in the middle of the room. Upon doing so, the container will drop to the ground below, and the shuttered gates on your right will open. Go through them, and go down the ladder there.

Simon approaches a ladder in the distance in Silent Hill Townfall.

13. Exit CEG HQ.

After going down the ladder, continue along the following corridor to reach another ladder to go down. You'll eventually reach a room where an intercom message plays, before going down yet another hallway.

Simon is shown walking along a hallway in Silent Hill Townfall.

In this next hallway, you'll have the option to go straight along a red hallway or right along a blue hallway. Straight ahead is a locked door you won't be able to enter until New Game Plus, so go right along the blue hallway.

If you're playing New Game Plus, the third and final guide dog bank needed for the dog ending is before the locked door at the end of the aforementioned red hallway. Input the Gold Coin into this and finish the game as normal. For the game's sci-fi ending, keep going along the halls until you reach a door that has a Card Reader to the left of it, then use the Strange Access Card on the Card Reader and go through the door. Enjoy!

Open the door at the end and enjoy the many cutscenes that ensue. After them, you'll be in yet another spooky hallway. Proceed to the end, enter the elevator, and ride it to the ground floor. You'll receive a CRTV Signal from Richard now.

Simon approaches an elevator in Silent Hill Townfall.

On the ground level of CEG HQ now, exit the building. The strange monster in the sky is here and will soon start dropping corpses on you again; run straight ahead as it does this, and you'll eventually find yourself up against your first and last boss in the game: The Weight.

While running away from CEG HQ, there's a brown box by one of the flower patches that you can choose to open. Don't bother doing this; Richard's final gift to Simon is empty.

14. Defeat The Weight.

The fight against The Weight consists of three phases. At the end of each phase, The Weight will kneel in one spot until you've pulled one of the metal bars out of them, and you'll need to do this three times throughout the fight.

As the fight progresses and you deal more damage to the boss, he'll also summon minor enemies to help him out and you'll want to either 1) clear these out quickly then focus on the boss or 2) defeat the boss so quickly that these enemies don't bother you.

Simon is shown fighting The Weight in Silent Hill Townfall.
Simon is shown fighting The Weight in Silent Hill Townfall.

The Weight himself isn't too troubling to counter. He'll only be able to attack you from melee range initially, at which point he'll lunge at you and you'll need to perform a QTE to escape his grasp. In his third phase however, he gains a ranged attack that lets him whip at you with an IV, much like the patient-like enemies you encounter throughout the game.

With the above in mind, you should focus on running in circles during the first and second phases of this fight – collecting supplies from the cabinets and the floor – while firing your Flare Gun or Shotgun at the enemy. I specifically recommend the Flare Gun above all else, as this stuns The Weight temporarily and appears to do the most damage.

During the third phase of the fight however, you'll want to be more careful so as to avoid The Weight's whip attack. Use the walls in the area to stay out of his line and sight, and peek around them and fire your weapon of choice at him until you're prompted to pull the final metal bar from his body.

Simon is shown fighting The Weight in Silent Hill Townfall.

15. Go to the pier.

Once you finally defeat The Weight, a cutscene plays out and you'll find yourself transported back to the Shorefront from the beginning of the game. Walk along the beach and down the pier, and you'll eventually run into Richard once more.

I won't spoil what happens next, but after the following cutscenes, you'll have officially completed Silent Hill Townfall.

Well done for making it to the end of the game! I hope you enjoyed your time with the game and that this walkthrough was helpful. I'll have more information on New Game Plus and the game's endings available soon!
