How to Complete Memories of Loss
The Memories of Loss Quest is part of The Witch Queen Campaign which you'll unlock after completing The Last Chance mission as part of the story. To begin, you'll need to travel back to the Altar of Reflection in Witch's Echo. The recommended Power level for this Quest is 1490.
Once inside, you'll see a familiar Hive rune puzzle that you'll need to solve. Like before, the key to solving the Rune Patterns puzzles is to look for a pattern and then locate the runes that don't follow the pattern. Runes are arranged in groups of five, viewed vertically. The first puzzle features eight columns, with three columns having incorrectly arranged runes.
Shoot the column with the incorrect set of runes and a large glowing Hive rune will spawn in the air above, indicating a correct answer. If you happen to shoot the wrong rune, the message "Incorrect rune chosen. The trial begins again" will appear to the left of your screen and you'll need to start over.
The second set of puzzles adds more columns around the room for you to decipher. The rules remain the same, though, as you're still looking for the three columns with a pattern of runes that don't match the rest of the bunch. The runes are in groups of three located around the circular structures in the area.
Once the second puzzle is complete, head into the doorway and proceed into the next area where you'll need to defeat the Lucent Archivist enemies. As with your previous encounter, there's a large boss enemy at the end. This time, you'll be dealing with Xirash, Keeper of Memory.
After the enemies have been eliminated, proceed into the memory chamber and interact with the central structure to learn some...very interesting information before this Quest step is completed.
The next few Quest steps of The Witch Queen Campaign involve flying to the Tower, meeting with the Vanguard, and chatting with Ikora and the gang at the Enclave on Mars. After a few conversations, you'll unlock The Ritual - the final mission of the story.
