Where is the Sinner's Road Bench in Hollow Knight Silksong?
Here's how to find and fix the Sinner's Road bench
How in Pharloom do you get the Sinner's Road bench to work in Silksong? Like most things in Hollow Knight Silksong, the answer is "not easily". Getting to the bench in Sinner's Road is fairly simple once you know where to go; but even after you pay the Rosary fee, the blasted thing doesn't even work properly. To fix the bench so you can actually rest at it, you'll need to do some perilous platforming nearby.
In this guide, we'll go over everything you need to know about getting to and activating the Sinner's Road bench in Hollow Knight: Silksong. That includes how much it costs to activate the bench, and exactly where you need to go to make it usable.
Where is the Sinner's Road bench in Hollow Knight Silksong?
Reaching the Sinner's Road bench is the easy part, relatively speaking. You'll need 60 rosaries to bring the bench out of the ground, but because of how annoying it is to actually get working, you should ideally have a Rosary Necklace or two handy in case you die on the way there.
As you enter Sinner's Road from Greymoor, travel east (to the right) until you reach a room with the bench sign pointing up and to the left. Proceed up toward it, but you'll quickly find there's no way to reach the platform without something to let you jump higher. Rather than trying to get to the bench room, take a right into the chamber to the east.
The room to the right is a platforming challenge where you'll need to bounce off of circular spike rods while also dealing with the flying enemies that make the room their home. The Wanderer's Crest is a real boon here if you never got the hang of the diagonal down slash.
Keep going up through this side room until you can exit to the left. Be sure to hit the nearby lever to open the way. Once you're back in the main column room, jump up along the wall until you can cross the gap, then drop down and hit the lever.
That lever lowers a cage you can use to reach the bench room more easily. Now you can head in and pay the 60 rosaries to raise the bench, but, for some insidious reason, it doesn't come up all the way. Turns out it's stuck, and you need to somehow get underneath it to unstick it.
How to fix the Sinner's Road bench
At the top left of the bench room is a breakable wall you'll have to carefully cling to and jump attack to breach. Beyond it is a frankly absurd platforming section. Here's how to fix the Sinner's Road bench:
- Jump across the two overlapping, swinging spiked rings.
- Jump across the two sequential spiked rings up to the higher platform.
- Float to the right above the spike floor and past the swinging spiked rings.
- Slide down the right wall past the swinging spiked rings, jumping to the left to avoid the spiked floor.
- Repeat the process, moving this time from left to right.
- Continue right across three sets of swinging spiked rings.
- Dive into the muck and across until you see a mass of gears bound by rotted wood.
- Destroy the rotted wood to fix the Sinner's Road bench.
Destroy the obstruction gumming up the gearworks, and you'll free the Sinner's Road bench, allowing it to rise up and be used. To make it back, you'll need to jump up and across the platforms that hold some of the spike rings you just passed, then further up through the various breakable ceilings to the first section of the challenge.
Make it back to the bench room and, blessedly, you'll be able to actually sit at the bench, giving you a much-needed checkpoint in one of the drearier places you'll encounter in Hollow Knight Silksong.
Now that you know how to get to the Sinner's Road bench in Silksong, you're one step closer to reaching some of the mid-game areas. You could also take another way around through the Exhaust Organ. Be warned: it doesn't get any easier, but you can make it a bit more comfortable by grabbing the Wanderer's Crest or the Curveclaw. And while you're exploring, why not go after some of the Lost Fleas? The further you go, the more tools you'll have to navigate the haunted halls of Pharloom.
