How to Unlock the Map

Control Resonant presents a paranormal recreation of Manhattan with large locations to explore and get lost. Each Zone features main quests, side quests, collectibles, and other secrets that you have to find as Dylan Faden. But finding everything is a game of its own, and having a map will help you tremendously. However, in this game, you have to unlock your maps.

In this guide, we will go over how to unlock every Zone map in Control Resonant and what you need to keep in mind while exploring this universe.

How to Reveal the Map

Each time you enter a new Zone (the in-game name for every main location), you can view a general map of it from the Map menu. However, you can’t see the streets, buildings, and other useful details for your navigation.

To do so, you first need to reveal the Zone Map by using the Map Kits and activating the central Pylon (it’s like a tower with antennas). This is marked as a tower on your map, and as soon as you enter a new Location, you can see its icon. Before you can properly activate it, though, you need to interact with three Sensors.

Sensors are small antennas located within a close radius of the Pylon, but they don’t appear on your map, and you need to look for them.

As a quick tip, from the Pylon, look to your surroundings and pay attention to flashing red lights. Unactivated antennas are marked that way, and they can’t be far away from where you are. However, sometimes they won’t be easily findable because buildings will block your view. Always walk around all the main buildings where the main tower is, and keep looking for the red lights.

Activating Pylons reveals the Zone’s map and gives you the best information for travelling through it. It can also mark some relevant collectibles, side stories, and events, but not everything will be marked right away, mind you — many icons will appear once you get close to them. Still, we recommend you make this a priority any time you discover a new Zone in Control Resonant.
