Trophy Guide and Achievement List
Control Resonant’s platinum trophy will take you some time, as you need to explore many locations, complete secondary activities, and defeat all the bosses (Resonants) in the game. Fortunately, the achievement list doesn’t involve collecting every piece of documentation and leveling up every zone to the maximum, but it will still ask you to spend hours on main missions, side quests, events, picking up resources, and more.
This IGN guide will give you all the information you need to unlock every trophy and achievement in Control Resonant.
You'll find 49 achievements and 50 trophies in Control Resonant, featuring:
- 1 Platinum Trophy | 1 100G Achievement.
- 1 Gold Trophy | 1 50G Achievement.
- 16 Silver Trophies | 10 40G Achievements.
- 32 Bronze Trophies | 8 20G & 29 10G Achievements.
Important Note
Once you complete the last Main Quest, you’ll be able to continue exploring Manhattan, complete any Side Quests left undone, and pick up any missing Collectibles.
Only one trophy, Tap to Reveal, is technically missable, but we've provided a handy solution to that below. However, keep in mind that once you enter the free roam mode, the Power Level of every enemy will be increased.

Interdimensional Protector
Unlock the other 49 trophies, and the platinum will be yours.
Graffiti Artist
The Mural is an object that you can interact with in the Gap, and it gets filled with the drawings of the Resonants (bosses) you defeat in the game. Defeat every Resonant and the last boss (the Hedron) to complete the Mural — there are six Resonants in total.
Repeating, Refracting
The Hedron is the final boss in Control Resonant. You’ll achieve this trophy by completing the final Main Quest.
Stop it at the Source
Complete the Main Quest Sever the Hedron Links to unlock this achievement.
The First Link
For this trophy, you need to complete the Main Quest The Hedron Link. It takes place in The Underpass.
Sibling Reunion
Fault Rituals are the special sections where you interact with Jesse, the protagonist's sister. Whenever you explore a new Zone, check your surroundings for Jesse’s illusions. Follow them, and you’ll start a platforming section in which you’ll unlock a traversal ability.
Complete all of these sections for the achievement. You’ll have to do them to make progress in the main story anyway.
Enemy of My Enemy
Complete the Main Quest Enemy of My Enemy, which takes place in the Evacuation Zone.
Rescue Mission
Complete the Main Quest Evacuation Procedures, also in the Evacuation Zone.
Honorable Discharge
You need to defeat the optional boss in the Unknown, the final Zone you’ll unlock in the game.
Astral Reconfiguration
You need to defeat the optional boss in the Underpass, an area that you will unlock as you start the Main Quest Recursions and Iterations.
Insidious Growth
For this achievement, defeat The Collective, which is the Resonant that you can find in the Park location.
Thermal Termination
This is one of the first Resonants that you can kill as soon as you unlock the open-world exploration of the game. You need to visit a factory at the center of Central and defeat The Deserter for the trophy.
Curtain Fall
This is the other optional Resonant that you can kill when you finish the game’s prologue. The boss is called The Dancer, and it’s waiting in an altered theater in the West Incursion Zone.
Artistic Liberation
You can’t miss this trophy since it’s part of the main story. This is the first Resonant that you have to defeat, The Artist, and is part of the game's prologue.
Astral Potency
Aberrant Strength is one of the elements that determine your character’s Build Power. You increase this level by purchasing weapon upgrades in the Gap (it doesn’t matter if you use that Aberrant Form or not). Each upgrade will indicate how many Aberrant Strength points it will give you before you unlock it.
You can check your Aberrant Strength at all times in the Loadout menu.
Versatile Expert
Talents are unique buffs, stat boosts, states, and other upgrades that you can unlock for your character. To unlock a Talent, you need to use Talent Points in the Gap, interacting with the group of stones. Unlock 30 of these nodes, and the trophy will be yours.
Personal Development
You can increase your total health with Health Upgrades, which you earn when you find three Health Upgrade Points. These points are found in large resource crates, which can be the bigger ice cream crates (the ones with the kid’s face) or the regular black boxes.
Upgrade your health four times, and the achievement will pop.
Zone Warden
Each location you explore in the game has a level, and as you get Zone XP, you can increase it. For this achievement, you need to level up any of your available Zones until you get 40 Zone Upgrades in general (they don’t need to be from only one location).
Astral
This works just like the Health Upgrades trophy. Find three Power Upgrade Points in large crates (the black block crates) to get a Power Upgrade. Repeat this three more times for the trophy.
Combat Readiness
Before you are able to do this, you need to defeat the first five Resonants available in the game. Once you do, you can only get one Combat Ability from each of them.
That will give you five abilities. For the last one, you need to complete Emily Pope’s research, which is a Side Story that is unlocked once you visit the last Zone. Once you finish this, you’ll be able to equip one more Combat Ability for your repertoire.
Paranatural Artisan
Artifacts are items that give you passive perks or boosts. You unlock them by completing certain missions, defeating bosses, reaching certain Zone Levels, and buying them from Vendors. Then, you need to visit the Gap, interact with the group of rectangles/fountains, and use the required resources to craft them.
It will take a while to reach 30 Artifacts, and you’ll need many materials. Be sure to complete every Main and Side Story that you find, play SHUM, and visit the different Vendors if you’re lacking any specific materials.
Diligent Consultant
FBC Tasks are similar to World Feats, except you need to check an FBC board at an FBC Station and pick up the tasks before you can complete them. Once you pick them from the board, they will appear as side quests on your log.
There's one FBC Board in many Zones, but you need to start with the one in Central. This one is located in the Field Office to the south of the location.
Form Over Function
You earn outfit items by completing Side Stories, interacting with certain Vendors (they usually require higher Vendor Levels), and by reaching specific Zone Levels. The trophy will unlock once you get 12 items in total, regardless of where they can be used.
Panopticon Intern
Shortly after you reach Central for the first time, you’ll notice a Person of Interest marked on your map on the east side. This is Langston, and you can interact with him to receive a Side Story that involves an Altered Radio. It's Panopticon Service Request.
This is only the first side quest in Langston’s chain. To get the achievement, you need to complete every Side Story involving him and Altered Items: Into the Valley of Death, Freeze Frame, A New Directive, and The Complete Set.
Be What You Want to Be
Complete the Side Story The Party Won’t Stop in the West Incursion Zone without mistakes. You’ll find this on the southwestern side of the location.
Threshold Researcher
Certain Side Stories involve regions where light and sound work strangely. These are Thresholds, and for this achievement, you need to finish every Side Story that involves one. For example, the first one you can complete is in Central and involves a character named Wilson. It's called Crossing the Threshold.
Then, you have to complete all the objectives in Unsupervised Science, which involves exploring underground facilities and solving riddles (look for PC monitors that say "Testing Facility" on your map), and the Side Story The Last Taxi. In this one, you need to find taxis in every Zone and solve riddles.
Budding Analyst
There is a Side Story that involves aiding Emily Pope, called Pope's Research. It's unlocked once you visit the final Zone in the game: The Unknown. Complete the side quests for the trophy.
Work-Life Balance
Every Zone has some special activities called Secrets. These involve completing a certain action (usually a riddle), and they appear as a question mark on your map. In some of these puzzles, you need to add objects to a scene, and then Dylan will draw it once it’s complete.
Finish the 11 drawings for this trophy.
Dog’s Best Friend
You’ll find an activity in every area that involves helping a Dog. This is a chain of Side Stories that take place in multiple Zones, and you need to help your little buddy in all of them. See the Every Dog Has Her Day Walkthrough the to find the dog and her toy's location in each zone.
Backroom Espionage
Some Secrets involve areas where you need to solve a riddle to open a secret door. These lead to Secret Hideouts, where you'll find rewards and documents about an organization that is against the FBC.
Unlock all of these hideouts (there are six of them) for the achievement.
Budding Mycologist
You need to complete the Side Stories that involve Mold, such as New Growth and Carbon Copy.
Astral Adept
If you visit the Gap and interact with the big pillar, you’ll be able to purchase upgrades for any of your unlocked weapons/Aberrant Forms. For this achievement, you need to purchase all the upgrades for any weapon.
A quick tip: always check the Vendors for the resources that you might be missing. If you can’t find one specific item, check the Inventory menu for tips.
Field Control
As you complete activities and missions in a Zone, you’ll earn Zone XP and increase its level. There are seven Zones in the game; reach level 5 in all of them for the achievement.
Paranatural Craftsman
Artifacts are items that give you passive perks or boosts. You unlock them by completing certain missions, defeating bosses, reaching certain Zone Levels, and buying them from Vendors. Then, you need to visit the Gap, interact with the group of rectangles/fountains, and use the required resources to craft them.
Craft three of them and then equip them in the Loadout menu.
Psychic Domination
Once you defeat the last Resonant, you’ll unlock the ability to Command (control) enemies. For this achievement, you need to use this ability against a Breaker type. This means an enemy that has parts that can be broken. For example, the Hiss that is a flying bus on fire.
Intense Precision
Dominance is the first Talent that you unlock for Dylan, and it gives you a Damage boost for a few seconds after you execute an enemy. To perform an execution, you need to fill the enemy’s Falt Gauge, and then press the button on screen.
You can keep activating Dominance as long as there are enemies to execute in quick succession. Our best tip is to wait for this achievement until you can unlock one of the top Talents in the Talent tree, which will extend the default duration of Dominance to 15 seconds.
Once you do that, find a group of enemies and focus only on the Drone enemies (the weaker ones, which continue to respawn). Execute a few in a row to make your Dominance last.
Paranatural Agility
Perfect Dodge is one of the first Talents that you can unlock, and you need to dodge an enemy attack right before it hits you. You might notice that the window is pretty generous, but if you’re having issues with this, you can always enter Assist Mode in Settings and make this easier.
Once you’re ready, jump into a group of enemies and just dodge all of their moves.
Love to Deep Dive
You can do this as soon as you visit the Gap for the first time. Simply hold the Down input to enter this special place, then hold the input again to return to the real world. Repeat this until the achievement pops.
SHÜM!
SHÜM is the name of a game that you can play in the arcade cabinets across Manhattan. It’s basically a challenge that involves surviving waves of enemies and earning as many points as possible until you die.
For the achievement, you only need to play it — it doesn’t matter if you reach a high score or not. However, keep in mind that while there’s an arcade cabinet in every Zone, you need to reach a certain Zone Level to unlock it.
Out of Uniform
You earn outfit items by completing missions, purchasing them from Vendors, and leveling up Zones. Once you have unlocked a piece for each body part, go to a wardrobe (it has a cloth icon on the map) and equip one item in every slot.
Up to the Task
World Feats are in-game events that take place in every Zone. They can involve breaking a pattern, defeating a group of enemies, protecting an FBC member performing an action, and other activities. Simply complete one of them for the achievement.
FBC Recruit
FBC Tasks are similar to World Feats, except you need to check an FBC board at an FBC Station and pick up the tasks before you can complete them. Once you pick them from the board, they will appear as side quests on your log.
There's one FBC Board in many Zones, but you need to start with the one in Central. This one is located in the Field Office to the south of the location.
Core Competency
You can increase your total health with Health Upgrades and your Power Gauge with Power Upgrades. You earn these when you find three Health Upgrade Points or three Power Upgrade Points, respectively.
These points are found in Large Resource Crates, which can be the bigger ice cream crates (the ones with the kid’s face) or the regular black boxes.
Field Work
Each location you explore in the game has a level, and as you get Zone XP, you can increase it. Reach Zone Level 3 in any Zone.
Finalization Protocol
When you reach Aberrant Strength 15, you’ll be able to unlock a third Aberrant Form, called Combo Finisher. Unlock any of them and the trophy will be yours.
Paranatural Apprentice
Artifacts are items that you can craft while in the Gap if you have the correct resources. You first need to unlock them by completing certain quests or defeating Resonants.
Once you have one to craft, go to the Gap and interact with the group of small fountains. If you have the required resources (check the Vendors for help!), craft any of them and the achievement will be yours.
Promising Recruit
Talents are buffs and special effects that you can unlock for your character. They are basically Control Resonant’s skill tree, and you have to spend Talent Points to unlock Talents. You get these points by increasing your Zone Level.
To unlock any Talent, visit the Gap and interact with the group of stones.
Astral Construction
Your weapons are called Aberrant Forms, and you can upgrade them by visiting the Gap and having the required resources. Interact with the object that lets you buy these upgrades (the big pillar) and purchase any of them for the achievement.
Parautilitarian
Combat Abilities are your special powers, and you’ll get one each time you defeat a Resonant (the Zones’ bosses). While these battles are labeled as optional, your first Resonant, The Artist, is part of the story and you can’t miss it. You’ll face it when completing the prologue.
Assigned to Accept
You’ll unlock this trophy when you get your first weapon, which happens right at the beginning of the game, during a Quick Time Event.
